Zen watched as the black ball that was her father floated frantically back and forth until she closed her hand over it and it dispersed into thin air leaving wisps of gold behind. She sighed and walked over to Stephan’s sleeping form.
How do I wake him, Vara?
Ever heard of true love’s kiss?
That was a myth!
All myths have their base on reality. Go on pucker up!
Zen blushed and kissed Stephan softly
Like you mean it girl!
She nibbled on his lips before delving in and French kissing him. His eyes slid open and she smiled. “Hi,” she said.
He smiled. “Hi,” then he kissed her deeply. “Is it over,” he asked and she nodded. “But a war is still going on. We need to find Marco and awaken my brother.”
Stephan smirked and nodded. “He’s on his way. Says it’s the last kiss Isaias is getting out of him for a while.”
She smiled and hugged Stephan. A few minutes later a breeze is felt and an angry Marco is standing beside them. “Where is he?”
Zen points to a snoring Isaias and Marco shakes his head and heads over to him kneeling and grasping him kissing the daylights out of Isaias. Isaias opened his eyes and kissed back before Marco slapped Isaias.
“Oww! What was that for!”
“What could he possibly do to me? How about turning me into his slave and making me kill my sister!”
“Slap!”
“Oww! Ok you win! That was pretty stupid of me.”
“Yes, it was! Next time wait for us! He could’ve you could’ve…”
Isaias threw his arms around Marco and kissed him. “I’m ok. What happened? All I remember is this stupid collar,” he held the collar up with his fist. He had torn it from his neck once he felt the wires leave his brain.
“You’ll have to ask Zen for the details,” Marco said standing and tugging Isaias to his feet. The whirring of blades caught their attention and they looked up to find more GAA falling from the sky.
Isaias sighed. “These guys never give up!”
“I’m glad we can at least agree on that,” muttered Marco as they walked to where everyone was gathering.
Bernado walked up to them. “Hey, muchachos! Looks like it won’t stop raining pendejos for tonight’s forecast.”
“Yeah who made such a shitty forecast anyway,” Isaias muttered walking over to Zen who was snuggled beside Stephan.
“Zen I…”
“Zip it and save it for after this crummy war,” Zen muttered snuggling closer to Stephan who held her closer smiling.
“Don’t we have some Rollers in our possession that we can throw at these wana bichos,” muttered Carmelo, getting a laugh from Bernado.
“Never thought I’d see the day you’d actually cuss”
“Bite me. I’m grumpy and itchy and I totally need some time with a scrubber.”
“Amen,” muttered Isaias who was elbowed in the gut by Marco.
“Not saying you need it! I do! Although the both of us sharing one isn’t bad in my mind.”
“Pervert,” muttered Marco but he laid his tired head over Isaias’s shoulder.
“I believe we do have a bunch of Rollers at our disposal though,” yawned Rosalinda as she leaned against Carmelo who kissed her head and held her close.
“I’ll call up Senka and his men,” muttered Bernado as he watched his sister snuggle close to Carmelo and wondered when he’d find someone like that. His wife was only with him for prestige. He was feeling lonely too. He sighed and commed Senka.

Senka was napping when his comm was buzzed and he got new orders that made him smile. He commed Alejandro.

“They need us on the battlefield with the tanks to cause massive damage to the new batch of pendejos. Let’s rock and Roll!”
Alejandro and the men cheered and Senka geared his Roller forward. Team Alpha was back in action!
###
Marek watched as the Rollers came back into view but there was something up with these rollers. They seemed to be taking out a new competition. Marek shrugged and blew a hole in a Jaguar Lieutenant’s shoulder making him howl. Hmm, I ran out of bullets. Good thing Blaster guns never run out of ammo. They take a little to charge though.
He wouldn’t be able to do a thing for a few minutes. I’ll leave it up to Honey to take these guys apart although he’s probably feeling that metal rod by now.
Val was struggling slightly with the metal staff. His arms were shaking slightly as he twirled the big metal weight over his head. Marek was afraid he’d let it fall over his head.
Please let the fight be over soon!

Kiera sat reading the book to Edline as the nurses took care of the wounded while she took a break. They thought she was human. Who was she to assure them of their beliefs? Edline was curled up almost asleep on the small sofa in the small office they had. Everything was calm but she knew things wouldn’t stay that way. SKin guarded both the eggling and the android from harm. No one came close.

Senka and his men were told to clean house, and that’s what they were doing with surprised wind elementals. Rollers were doing their name’s sake and rolling over their enemies. So far the new army had been halved, but the wind elementals were a nasty bunch and he had to evade several tornadoes already. Some of his men weren’t as lucky and were taken for a spin but there wasn’t much wind could do to them right? Right! Just as he thought this Alejandro’s Roller was impaled by a large branch. He sucked in a breath as the Roller stopped moving.
“Alejandro,” he screamed, leaving his Roller and rushing over to the other Roller. Alejandro was impaled on the branch as well.
“Damn it,” he cried gently, tugging the branch from Alejandro’s chest. Alejandro gurgled and blood dripped from his lips.
“Damn it kid hold on!”

Layna was running through the small forests trying to lose her tail. She had gotten the info and she had gotten out but a few soldiers had spotted her near camp while she had taken off her disguise and now were pursuing her. Seems I’m well known as a scientist on Con station and that gave me away of all things! She sighed when her tail caught up to her. She turned to fight.
“You’re the scientist on Con station that helped the girl escape our Don,” he said.
She sighed and nodded.
“What were you doing near our camp?”
“I was lost. I’m new here and part of intelligence except I’m shit with directions,” she said shrugging.
“You were heading back to camp pretty easily.”
“Was I? I thought I was just running away from you.”
“Nice try but I think you are more than you seem. What do you hide under the dress? You’re as padded as an old Eskimo?”
A shiver of fear entered Layna as she glanced into the predatory eyes of a wolf. She felt hunted. It’s just the hormones. I can kick this guy’s ass easily. He took out a knife.
Maybe not so easily. She prepared to run when the guy closed in and thrust his knife.
“No!” she screamed, watching in slow motion as the knife came closer and then the knife and the male were on the floor and Bernado stood over her.
“Layna was it? Are you alright?”
Layna blushed and nodded. “Yeah, I don’t know why I panicked. I could so take him.”
“It’s the pregnancy hormones. They’ll play around with your sense of danger for a bit yet. It’s why I asked my wife to take a desk job til after the pregnancy. Didn’t work out so well.”
“Nu-uh no desk job for me thanks although maybe working in the lab might work,” she said, patting her tummy.
Bernado grinned. “My wife did the same thing in her first pregnancy. I think that’s why Margarita came out so well.”
“You have kids?”
“Yes. They are Zen and Isaias’s ages well a little older Luise is twenty-one and Margarita twenty-three.”
“Huh, where are they? Did they fight today?”
‘Marie Elena is better as an intelligence officer who has the mind of a tack that one, and Luis is fighting with the Guerreros. I’m not sure if he fought or not, damn coward he is.” Bernado muttered the last to himself but Layna heard him and grinned. She knew of his youngest son’s almost takeover.
“Well you can’t win them all,” she said walking ahead of him.
He tilted his head and nodded “Guess not. “ he said following after her.

Kiera was reading to Edline when the nurses began shouting.
“We’ve got a live one. Kiera, we need your help!”
Kiera gave the book to Edline and kissed her head. “Keep reading I’ll be back soon.”
Edline looked up and nodded but her eyes were trained on the door Kiera had just left through. Something was calling to her and she had the feeling of terrible loss if she didn’t help whoever it was that was calling to her. She got up and faced the door staring from the small port window as the nurses tried in vain to help whoever it was. She was needed. She knew it. She opened the doors and slid through them and into the ER.
###
Kiera was just about to reveal her parts to everyone when Edline came flying through the doors and grabbed the young man’s hand electrifying him. His heart began beating again and Edline soothed his sweaty hair from his face. She looked at him for a minute and blushed before looking at Kiera.
“Is he ok now?”
Kiera nodded. “You saved him.”
“What’s his name?”
“Alejandro Pionero,” answered one of the nurses as she covered his wound in bandages and stemmed the bleeding with a staple gun.
“Alejandro,” sounded Edline as she walked back to the doors.
She looked back at the young man and blushed before exiting.
Well that was strange
