Ugh. Some liquid seeped into my mouth.
I coughed it back up and sat up. I smacked my head on a low hanging ceiling. I groaned and rolled out of my bed. I woozily looked around and came to a groggy conclusion. My mom had renovated my room. She had even switched my bed out for a goddamn tube. I sat down on top of the funny black thing. It was shiny and black, and it stirred some memories.
The world... ended?
That is what I thought I remembered, but everything seemed so fuzzy. It seemed like a lifetime ago.
What about Bruno, or the rest of the world?
Was this the virtual world?
I waved my hand around. It felt so real. I literally couldn't tell any difference from my body in the actual world.
I had played VRMMO games before, and none were as realistic as this one. I groaned and kneaded my eyes.
"Status?" I croaked.
Name: Ryan Savage Race: Human Level: 1 Unused Stat Points: Willpower: 5 Constitution: 5 Agility: 5 Vacant Stat Affinity: None Titles: None Class: None Omen: None
I looked at the little bule box in front of me for a while. It seemed rather lacking. I only had 3 stats?
This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.
Apparently I would get another one later, but still.
"Choose Class" I stated.
Classes are chosen at level 10
Well shit.
I shook my head to clear my thoughts, and looked around my room again. I hoped that this wasn't one of those breakout VRRMMOs. Nothing was worse than spawning in a dungeon cell.
It didn't appear like it was a holding cell. It was just a simple square room.
I looked at my clothes. I had a plain white cloth shirt and some brown pants. On a small table was 5 dollars and my blue MP3 player. It was all that I had in my pockets. I was glad they let me keep my MP3. I had had it since I was a kid, and I had hundreds of great songs on it.
I poked the earbuds in my ear, and opened the door out of my room. I clicked to my Everyday playlist and hit start. There was something about listening to Superstar that cleared my mind. I walked down halls that looked like they were cut from stone. They were oddly smooth.
A man, probably age 30-35 was walking down the halls as well. When he saw me his face split into a grin.
"Ah, I see that you are awake. I was just heading down to get you. Follow me" he said.
His face looked completely realistic, and his voice souded so human. It was odd to think he was part of a game.
He led me to a larger room with glowing crystals in the ceiling. A couch covered in what looked like furs was in the center, and a table and a few chairs were positioned around it.
"My name is Elijah. I am the one assigned to you and a few others. I will be your advisor" he smiled.
"Please sit. I assume you have a few questions, but first listen to my story. It should clarify what is happening here" he said.
"My story begins in a world that has been forgotten".
