Chapter 128-Orb

Chapter 128-Orb

(YESHIVA'S POV)

“Raman, escort Yeshiva back to the castle" I heard Duke Winter say as I began to feel light-headed. This place was starting to take a toll on my body. I placed my hand over my forehead as I glanced at Rosemary. When she fainted in the office, my heart nearly sank. For a moment, I noticed a glow forming around her body until it suddenly disappeared. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

I glanced over at Duke Winter, who was still kneeling, in front of the stone altar. The carvings in the altar caught my attention, although I couldn't understand the language or symbols.

Duke Winter slightly turned his head towards me and nodded. “Yes, he is her destined partner” I heard him say.

Is he communicating with someone? Where exactly are we? Questions filled my thoughts as the man dressed in the dark robe approached me.

“Follow me”, the man Raman said, as he placed his hand on my right shoulder.

I followed behind him as we walked down a long passage. I glanced around the temple as the granite walls and gold trimming surrounded me, the pillars ahead of me were bronze, there were symbols carved in them as well. As we approached the threshold of the temple, a bright light flashed before us. Suddenly, we were standing on the stairs. The man Raman began to walk up the stairs of the annex building.

“What the hell was that?” I asked, turning towards the man, Raman, as I walked beside him.

“A portal” he replied.

“Portal?” I mumbled, “A portal to where?” I was confused, I've never heard of such a thing.

The man Raman turned his head towards me, “The remnants of the spiritual realm”

(DUKE WINTER’S POV)

“Einar” a soft voice had spoken as I raised my body. I glanced at Sage and Rosemary, as their auras surrounded their bodies. I stepped towards the altar as I felt more presence around me. “Einar” the soft voices spoke once more. It's been a long time since I've heard her voice.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

“Mother” I felt the warmth on my shoulder once again.

“Hmm, this brat must be Glaerus' son” Another deep voice traveled through my mind. I glanced over at Prince Antonio, seeing the three glowing orbs of light floating, circling around him.

“Yes, he's Sage's destined partner”

“Tsk, he's the son of that ungrateful bastard” I could imagine my grandfather folding his arms with a disdainful expression. The thought of that made me chuckle.

“Grandfather, there's another reason I have come to seek your guidance. It's about Celeste”

I watched as all three of the floating orb's stopped circling around Prince Antonio and made their way closer to me. “Celeste, you say” the smaller orb circled around me. “That child has already been reborn,” my mother said.

“When will she awaken? We will need the help of the saintess. I learned that someone is practicing black magic once again. It's a matter of time before we have to deal with those demons again” I said.

The medium sized orb began to circle around me. “Black magic? Speaking of black magic, my connection with Moises was cut off by that very situation years ago” my grandfather spoke.

I clenched my fist, “What do you mean?”

“The cause of Moises' coma—he was poisoned by a sorcerer.” My grandfather said, “By the time he got into battle with Prince Marshall, he was already weakened”

The revelation that Moises was attacked by a sorcerer filled me with questions rather than answers. Moises believes that Prince Marshall was the one who caused his coma. He also doesn't remember much about the events leading up to his battle with Prince Marshall. It had to be done purposely, I thought. There's no way Marshall could injure Moises without the help of someone else.

Suddenly, I began to hear the sounds of groaning, I turned my head towards Sage and Rosemary.

“Looks like they'll be waking up soon, you shall return now” my grandfather said.

I bowed my head, “I'll bring them to visit after their lesson on our lineage history—our real history”

(UNKNOWN POV)

“My child, it's not time yet” a voice lingered in my mind as I opened my eyes. As my vision became clearer, I glanced upwards at the ceiling, the moonlight shining through the small window above me. Clang! The sudden sound caught my attention as I stepped forward.

I glanced down at the ground, realizing that I was barefoot again, the chain around my ankle restricted my next step. I looked around at my surroundings, noticing that I was in an unfamiliar place. “Where am I?” I noticed multiple women lying around, their feet were also chained to the wall.

“Wha… What is happening? Where.. where am i?” The last thing I remember was going to bed after meeting the village chief.

The sounds of whimpering filled the area as I noticed the iron bars before me.

“I see, you're awake” suddenly, I heard a soft voice in my mind. The next moment, I noticed a glowing orb began to circle around me.

“Where am I?” I asked.

BANG! The loud sound traveled through the area, causing the glowing orb to disappear. The sound of footsteps became closer with each second. Two figures appeared in the distance as they approached the area, one tall in stature, one much shorter.

As the women around me started to stir awake, two men approached the iron bars, one much older, dressed in elegant attire, the other was young, dressed in a knight's uniform.

“Hmm, I was told we've acquired a new slave,” the older man said, gazing upon me. “You, what's your name?” He pointed at me.

“My name is…” my throat felt dry as nervousness came over me. “My name is Celeste” I clenched the side of my wrinkled, torn dress.

The older man grinned as he scanned me from head to toe. He turned to the younger man, “Prepare for the auction. It'll take place during the same time as the banquet”
