Chapter 125- Answers (2)

(CROWN PRINCE ANTONIO'S POV)

I looked up at the sky, as it became darkened. The wind brushed past me as I stood under the moonlight. While waiting for Princess Sage to join me on the training grounds. I wondered to myself just how much am I able to reveal to her and what should I withhold. Since Duke Winter wants to be the one to teach her everything.

By Princess Sage's demeanor during dinner, I knew she overheard my conversation with Raman, when I sensed her as she approached the area we were in.

After dinner, I told her to change into some more comfortable clothes before heading to the training grounds.

I turned my head towards the castle as I sensed her approaching. I watched as she walked towards the area, dressed in her training attire.

“Prince Antonio”, she said softly, as she walked towards me.

I placed my hand over my chest, “This is bad for my heart”, I mumbled, as my heart raced.

I walked up to her and lifted her face a bit, “May I?” I asked, I had the urge to kiss her.

When I saw her nod her head, I kissed her deeply and wrapped her up in my arms. Her body fitted perfectly in my arms. I wished I was able to take her away from this shitty kingdom. But, it should be okay since I left the protection seal on her. I would immediately know whenever she is in danger.

“Prince Antonio”, Princess Sage placed her hand on my chest as I let go of her body. When she looked up at me, I chuckled at the blush that formed on her face. “Your marriage proposal.” she paused for a moment and took a deep breath. “I accept”

My body stiffened out of shock, I wasn't expecting her to accept it this soon. I was okay with giving her time to think about it.

“But”, she said, “Can we wait until after the rebellion.”

I nodded, “Princess, Am I allowed to announce our official engagement at the conference tomorrow?” I asked, I want it to be known that she belongs to me and this also helps with my plans involving the peace treaty.

“Only if you teach me about harnessing my aura,” she said.

“Then shall we have a spar?”, I asked, and chuckled as her eyes lit up.

(DUKE WINTER’S POV)

“An oracle?” I asked, as Raman stood in front of my desk.

“Yes, Your Grace”, he replied.

Hearing that an oracle has been revealed, it's been over 500 years since the last oracle that was passed down from our ancestors. I placed my hand over my forehead, out of frustration. I wanted Sage to get used to her duties as the highest-ranking noble under the royal family, before I started to teach her about her other duties.

With only three weeks away from the coronation, we need to prepare for the rebellion before the real invasion begins again.

“Your Grace” Raman said, “History will repeat itself, we can't avoid another war with them. We must gather as many sorcerers, magic users, and aura users. We must find as many descendants as we can. Because of them the barrier between the magical realm, spiritual realm and physical realm collapsed 500 years ago. That is how we all established our kingdoms in the physical realm. The war with the demons will begin as soon as the saintess awakens again. I suspect one of the sorcerers will end up summoning the rest of them by mistake or purposely”

“The Saintess”, I mumbled, my dear friend, what exactly happened to you and why did you disappear before the second war. Did you sacrifice your life again, only to be reborn once more.

I stood up from my seat, “Once the banquet is over, I'll begin teaching Sage and Rosemary about the ancient bloodlines and our duties.” I said.

“Your Grace, I suspect that the Young Duchess doesn't know anything about you besides you being the King of the former Winter Kingdom.” Raman said.

I shook my head, “Only Malaysia and Mary knows the truth,” I replied.

I watched as Raman walked closer to me. He placed his hand on my shoulder, “But I must say, this is the second time this happened, “Two of the ancient bloodlines being destined partners. Normally, their destined partner would be a normal human. Maybe this will finally break both of the bloodline curses”

“And what about you?” I said as I looked at him, “Does Prince Antonio know that you were reborn through one of your descendants?”, I asked, and watched as Raman shook his head, “Only King Glaerus knows.”

Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted our conversation. Butler Jackson walked into the office holding a tray filled with various colors of envelopes. He bowed his head before approaching me. When he placed the tray onto the desk one of the envelopes caught my attention. I picked up the white and purple envelope that had a rose symbol on the seal and opened it. Just as I suspected, one of the noble households sent a marriage request for Rosemary.

I should prepare Yeshiva's title before he ends up killing someone.

(ROSEMARY’S P.O.V)

I was leaving out of the medical room when I noticed my mother, Yeshiva and Josie walking in the distance. I started to walk towards them as they were approaching the medical room.

“Rosemary, I'm preparing to leave in a few minutes” Mother said, as we approached each other.

“Where are you going?” I asked, with curiosity.

“The palace”, she said, “I need to monitor King Lincoln's condition until we find a solution” she added.

I made an Oh expression, seeing that King Lincoln wasn't as bad as everyone portrayed him to be. I was interested in knowing more about him.

“Rosemary, how are you feeling?” Mother suddenly whispered in my ear as she leaned towards me. “You should know, Na'mah is horrible at keeping secrets.”

“I'm fine, just a little ache here and there” I whispered back.

Mother caressed my hair before pulling away. She looked over at Josie.

“Take care of her while I'm gone,” Mother said, and turned towards Yeshiva.

I watched as they exchanged gestures before Mother and Josie walked away. Yeshiva stepped towards me.

“Rosie, I'll be leaving as well tomorrow”, Yeshiva said as he kissed my forehead.

Right, I thought. The clan members are leaving tomorrow to head to the southern region. I wanted to go as well but I have to attend the banquet now that my identity has been revealed to the noble society.

“How long will you be gone?” I asked, as I placed my head on Yeshiva's chest.

“I'm not sure, but it may take a while since I will be disguising as one of Marquess Francis' guards alongside Simmons and Blake” he replied.

Suddenly, we heard someone clear their throats. I took my head off of Yeshiva's chest and looked over towards the direction. I noticed Duke Winter and a man dressed in a dark robe. When he looked at me his eyes widened.

“Einar… she's” I heard him say Duke Winter's name.

“I know,” Duke Winter replied, as he looked at me.

I was confused by their conversation, and why was the man staring at me in awe.

“This is insane”, the man said, as he looked over at Duke Winter. “Your bloodline has been truly blessed.” The man's expression showed excitement.
