"What about the room?" asked the coachman, not caring about her opinion.
"There is a room, but the price is not low," said the tavern owner.
Eleanor stood up, handed the tavern owner a silver coin, and asked, "Is this enough?"
The tavern owner took the coin and turned to the coachman. "Why didn't you say that we have important guests?"
"As your brother, of course, I wouldn't bring just anyone to you," the coachman thought.
Without waiting for the coachman's response, the tavern owner turned to Eleanor and said:
"Dear guest, would you like something to eat first, or do you want to sleep?"
"Just take me to the room; I don't want to eat," Eleanor replied.
"Alright, dear guest. However, there is a problem—there is only one bed in the room," said the tavern owner, casting a glance at Evelina behind Eleanor.
"It's alright, we can share the bed," said Evelina. Sharing a bed with Evelina was not difficult for her.
"Very well, then follow me," said the tavern owner, leading Eleanor and Evelina upstairs.
Before following the tavern owner, Eleanor gave a strange look at the bookshelf in the corner of the tavern.
On the second floor, they entered a small room. The room was lit by two candles mounted on the walls. There were few items in the room: a mirror, a writing desk and chair, a wall hanger, and a bed.
"Goodnight, dear guests, I'll leave the room key here," said the tavern owner, placing the key on the writing desk, then she left the room.
"Close the door," Eleanor said and began to undress. She hung her coat and shirt on the hanger, and threw her shorts on the floor next to the bed.
Evelina took the key from the writing desk and locked the door. Then she also removed her outer clothing.
Eleanor extinguished the candles one by one, approached the bed, lifted the blanket, and lay down on one side, leaving some space on the other side for Evelina. She closed her eyes and prepared to fall asleep.
After a moment, Eleanor opened her eyes and looked to the side.
Evelina stood next to the bed, looking away.
"What are you doing?" Eleanor asked.
"I... I..." Evelina didn't know what to say.
Eleanor sighed. She grabbed Evelina's hand and pulled her onto the bed.
The night passed, and morning came.
Eleanor opened her eyes and looked at Evelina, who was sleeping while hugging her arm.
Eleanor found it somewhat interesting to watch Evelina sleep.
Usually, Evelina woke up first and woke her up. But now, since they were not in the palace, Evelina was still asleep, and she was the first to wake up.
"Alright, wake up, my little sister," said Eleanor.
Eleanor didn't just allow Evelina to call her older sister; she truly accepted her as her younger sister.
"Just a little longer," murmured Evelina and hugged Eleanor's arm tighter.
"Is this karma?" thought Eleanor. Usually, in the palace, she always said this before Evelina forcibly made her wake up.
"Well then, karma needs to be returned in full," with this thought, Eleanor pulled her arm free and started shaking Evelina.
"Alright, alright, I'm getting up," shouted Evelina as she got up. She rubbed her sleepy eyes.

The two ladies quickly dressed, went downstairs, and washed their faces to fully wake up.
The tables on the first floor were not as empty as they had been at night, but there were still not many people since it was early morning and not everyone had woken up yet. Eleanor and Evelina chose an empty table and sat down. The tavern owner, seeing them, quickly brought them breakfast.
Eleanor and Evelina had breakfast and left the tavern.
"What shall we do?" asked Evelina.
"First, we need to find a ship," Eleanor replied and headed towards the port.
A few minutes later, Evelina and Eleanor arrived at the port.
Eighteen ships of various sizes were moored at the docks.
"Which ship shall we board?" asked Evelina.
"I wish I knew," Eleanor replied. She needed a ship going to the Misty Island, but she didn't want to check each ship individually.
Eleanor looked around. On the port grounds, many people were walking back and forth. Among the people, she noticed a boy of about ten or eleven years old who was selling dried fish. Eleanor pointed at the boy and said to Evelina:
"Bring him here."
"Do you want some dried fish?" asked Evelina.
"Don't ask, just bring him," said Eleanor.
Evelina went and brought the boy.
"Yes, miss, how can I help you?" asked the boy.
Eleanor held out a silver coin to the boy and said:
"Find a ship that is going to the Misty Island. Also, find out when it departs. If you do, I will give you this."
"What if none of the ships are going to the Misty Island?" asked the boy.
"If none of them are going to the Misty Island, well... you'll still get the coin. I'll be waiting for you at the Golden Wave tavern," said Eleanor, and she headed back to the tavern.
Evelina followed closely behind.
"Why did you ask him? I could have done this simple task," said Evelina.
"The first reason is that I want to spend some money, and the second is that now you're my little sister," said Eleanor.
Eleanor's last words warmed Evelina's heart, but she still asked:
"Then what use am I?"
"Probably almost none, you're just a walking charm," Eleanor said without thinking.
These words nearly made Evelina cry. Seeing this, Eleanor tried to correct the situation and said:
"Of course, I'm just joking. I told you that you still have your maid duties. Wandering around the port isn't a maid's job. Bringing the boy was already enough."
Soon they returned to the tavern. When the tavern owner saw their return, she was delighted and greeted them.
"Welcome back, dear guests. How can I help you?"
"Don't worry, I noticed you have a bookshelf here, so I came back to read some books. You can consider me a big fan of reading," said Eleanor.
"I understand, I won't disturb you then. You can read any book and stay in my establishment as long as you like. If you need anything, just shout for Grace and I'll come," said the tavern owner and went back to her tasks.
Eleanor approached the bookshelf in the corner. On the shelves were over a hundred books.
Eleanor randomly selected two books. She handed one book to Evelina.
"Try reading it, then tell me what it's about."
The girls sat at a table next to the bookshelf. Eleanor opened her book and quickly immersed herself in reading.
Evelina also focused on reading. She didn't particularly enjoy reading, so Eleanor usually didn't give her a book or even suggest she read. But today, for some reason, Eleanor handed her a book and even asked her to summarize it after reading.
Evelina knew something was off about this situation. Either it was related to the book, or her princess had other plans. But whatever it was, she had to follow the princess's orders and read the book.
After a few minutes, Evelina was completely engrossed in reading. The story in the book captured her heart entirely.
Evening.
Eleanor finished reading the book and drew some conclusions.
"Four Great Magi?! According to this book, they were the first to reach the level of Supreme Magus. Supreme Magus is the title for magus who have reached the fifth level."
"Golden Magus, Thunder Magus, Fire Magus, Storm Magus. These names, why have I never heard of them?! This book doesn't seem like a made-up story. The events in it correspond to many events in real history. It's just that in real history, there's not a word about them."
"And this strange feeling of closeness in my heart. Fear and excitement still fill my soul."
Eleanor didn't just return to the tavern by chance. Last night, the moment she first entered the tavern, she felt something there. It was as if something was calling her.
This feeling of being summoned was incredibly deep and familiar. The call stirred the farthest depths of her soul. But she didn't know what or who was calling her.
Then she looked around and tried to find the source of the call, and the only thing that caught her eye was the bookshelf in the corner of the tavern.
Eleanor found this call strange and frightening, so she decided to ignore it. However, the call didn't stop, and she couldn't sleep well. That's why she woke up early. After breakfast, she quickly left the tavern.
However, when she reached the port, she felt that if she left without finding the source of the call, she would lose something very precious to her. This feeling was comparable to losing half of her soul. So, she went back to the tavern.
Returning to the tavern, she approached the bookshelf. Initially, only this bookshelf seemed strange to her, so she went to it. When she got closer, her attention was drawn to two books. She thought the source of the call was inside the books.
She took the books and gave one to Evelina, telling her to read it. Her goal was for them to quickly read the books together and find out the source of the call.
After reading the book, she learned the fascinating story of the Four Great Magi, but the feeling of the call didn't diminish; it only grew stronger.
While Eleanor was lost in thought, Evelina, who was reading the book, suddenly began to cry.
Eleanor snapped out of her reverie and asked Evelina:
"Did you discover something?"
"All-Seer has died," Evelina sobbed.
"???" Eleanor. "I demand an explanation."
