Chapter 2: From now on, there will be....

A week has passed since this incident. Jun Xie, alias Asmodeus, after sharing explaining briefly what he wanted to do and few of his reasons, managed to convince the villagers of his good will. Thus, they accepted his conditions without putting much resistance.

In their heart, if he wished to force them into submission, with his strength which was beyond what they could imagine, it wouldn’t be too difficult. But he took the time to discuss things with them and asked them about their feelings on his ideas. They weren’t very knowledgeable about matters regarding sects and the outside world of the Desolate Ice Wind Valley, but if he could transform their prison into a safe haven where they could grow stronger, live in better conditions they would be stupid to refuse when they had nothing to lose.

Thus, the villagers all accepted to join Jun Xie’s sect after discussing among themselves for a few days. The latter was elated hearing their favorable answer.

In fact, Jun Xie had already explored the entire region and found no one else besides these villagers here. He also went thoroughly explored the entire Desolate mountain range and met with the beast king of the mountain and told him that he was going to change this place and hoped that they could make a deal which would be favorable for both of them in the future.

The beast king, who was a black tiger agreed on the spot. Their land was poor in energy and the young man in front of him said he was going to change that fact. Furthermore, how could he refuse? He was considered to be the strongest being in the entire region, but he couldn’t even tell if he could last a breath worth of time against this young man. And his deal wasn’t bad, if anything, it was very good.

Both the villagers and beasts asked themselves this question: Are our days of bitter struggle to survive coming to an end?

On the other hand, Jun Xie decided to act immediately., First, he chose the highest hill near all the villages and built a humble abode there for a starter. He placed the multicolored bead under his house so that it could start doing what it was made for.

Afterward, he reunited all the villagers once again in order to have a better understanding of their current situation.

The villagers were separated into six families: the Xue, Wei, Lin, Jin, Fu and Bao family. After roughly checking each villager, Jun Xie found out that those from the Lin family had a purer Qi and their Qi flow was smoother than their mana flow, the complete opposite from the Bao family members. And those from the Wei family had a body constitution which was in average better than those from the other families. As for the other families, he didn’t find anything special about them on the spot, but he could feel that he had stumbled upon a bunch of rough unpolished gems.

Looking at the crowd in front of him, Jun Xie came to a decision.

“From now on, there will be two factions. The Moonwater faction and the Starfall faction. The Lin, Wei and Xue family will belong to the Moonwater faction and the other three families will belong to the Starfall faction. This separation is needed in order to bring some competition inside the sect, which will help you to strive for more. Right now there won’t be any advantage in belonging to faction or another since many things need to be done first. The environment of the Desolate Ice Wind Valley will drastically change during the following year and I will need everyone’s help to build our sect.”

Hearing his words, all of them didn’t see anything wrong with them. They just, for most of them, felt that he was exaggerating.

Seeing their face full of doubts, Jun Xie flicked his hand and a bag of light blue pills appeared in his hand.

“First, I need to solve a problem which annoys me. The elders in this village have a weaker body than the adults and everyone has the same G- cultivation in both Qi and mana. This is something which isn’t acceptable. Elders should be able to withhold authority, and not because of their seniority but because they have a better understanding of the laws of this world than the younger generation. However, there are always exceptions.”

A gentle smile appeared on his face as he faced the elders with closed eyes. The elders were too old be embarrassed by his words but they clearly understood what he meant. He was an exception since he was the one holding the most authority and power.

“Anyway, I will need to teach and instruct the elders during this whole year in which we will lay the foundation of the sect. I will help you by providing you the necessary material and the blueprints. Things which will require too much technique will be managed by me. Thus… I will ask for the elders to come to stay here near my house. I will construct temporary houses for you and provide you with food and water. But before that, in my hand, there are several Heaven Shredding pills. These pills will make you go through drastic change depending on your talent and will give you a strength you could only have imagined to reach until now. However, after eating this pill, your talent will be greatly diminished… For instance, elder Wei Dong, you currently have a G+ strength and your talent in strength is S, after eating this pill your strength will go straight to E I believe but your talent will drop to B+.”

The elders sucked in a breath of cold air. They knew that Jun Xie was an incredible young man, but his word had struck their minds multiples times.

First, he promised about providing enough resources for feeding every elders, which represented an incredible amount! There were approximatively a hundred of elders, and the fact that they didn’t need to depend on their families to eat would relieve from a burden and allow the younger generation to have more food for themselves.

Secondly, they once had people who broke through F- of strength among the member of the Wei family but it happened only a couple of time since their families lived here. Now, they could hope to reach this unfathomable level.

Their knees started to get weak as they kneeled in front of Jun Xie, however the latter quickly forced them to stand up.

“You now belong to my sect, as its founder how can I let you all in such a dire state? Believe in me and I promise to make you all see the sky of the outside world, not as ants that people can step on or look at in disdain, but as kings, queens, princes and princesses of the Desolate Ice Wind Valley.”
