Some powerful beings claiming to be gods have come to earth and spread the knowledge of magic. In exchange for this knowledge that they thrust upon humans without our input, they have forced humanity to fight against another sapient race of beings known as the fraxions in a series of 1v1 battles, where the victor gets no rest and must immediately fight against another of the opposing race. Humanity had a great head start, but has been lagging further and further behind in adopting magic compared to the fraxions. One man has had enough.
