Chapter 2: Humane?

Chapter 2: Humane?

When Aiko saw that the lackeys were going to beat her up, her heart felt pained. Were they really going this far? Just because I rejected him? This world is too cruel! She silently cried in her heart as she watched the incoming fist of three or four lackeys.

As soon as the first fist was going to hit her, she closed her eyes, waiting for the impact.

Bang!

The sound of impact resounded, yet Aiko felt fine, and also didn’t feel the impact. It was really strange. In curiosity, she opened her eyes, only to see a black figure before her, blocking her vision. The clothes the person was wearing was really dark, and she might’ve thought it was night time if she didn’t look at her surroundings. She was really curious and hopeful, thinking who it was that decided to help her.

At this time, the crowd finally got back to their senses, and started discussing who it was that was brave enough to come out and help. After all, Taruda was not someone they could mess with. During the discussion, Taruda had also got back to his senses, and was so angry that he looked like he was about to explode. He looked at the person who dared to meddle in his business, and sized him up. The person had blonde hair that seemed fresh and had very bright golden eyes, looking very energetic and approachable, yet wore an expressionless face.

His clothing style was very interesting and stood out the most, as he wore a black polo shirt with jogger pants, a big black sweater covering him. He stood out very much in this type of weather, as it was still summer time, the weather was very hot, albeit not that hot in the middle of summer, it was still hot, especially in black clothing, as they absorbed more heat.

Naturally that person was none other than Ming Zhao, who still had humanity left in him to think about helping the girl. Ming Zhao stood there, looking at Taruda who still didn’t seem to want to stop with a cold gaze. So far, Ming Zhao’s view of this boy was below zero, entering the negatives. Many people hate this type of rich young masters, especially ones who force girls against their will, lest one that beats girls.

When Taruda saw that Ming Zhao was staring at him, he felt his cold gaze and felt a chill in his body, but remembering that he was a person of high status and had plenty of money, he decided to teach this meddler a lesson. Gathering his courage, he pointed towards Ming Zhao and asked, “You…Who are you? Do you know who I am?”

“Do you know who I am?” The abrupt answer a question with a question response made Taruda surprised for a moment, thinking, is this guy someone from a rich family who I don’t know of? When Taruda thought of that, he suppressed his anger and became cautious of the guy’s identity, warning himself to not casually mess with people who he didn’t know the background of. Since Taruda was a dissolute young master, he naturally committed many crimes, and to add up for his loose personality, he had wits of sly fox, capable to never be caught red handed. To put it simply, he was a smart young master.

“No…I have never seen you” Said Taruda.

“Neither have I, so why should I know you?” Ming Zhao coldly cut off Taruda’s words, finishing off with some mocking words. He had no respect for young masters like him, who forced people to submit under them, much less one who beats girls.

“You…!” Taruda’s suppressed anger burst out like a tsunami, making his cautious face turn into a fierce one. He was truly angry, he acted polite by not cursing the guy, yet he mocked him with his own words! If he was a tolerant guy, then he was not the young master of the Hoshi corporation!

“Beat that a**h*le for me! Beat him till his own mother doesn’t recognize him!” Taruda shouted with all his might, expressing his anger. The lackeys looked at each other and attacked. As for the attack Ming Zhao used on them earlier, they held no fear for it, thinking that it was just a sneak attack.

As for Ming Zhao, when he saw the approaching lackeys, he calmly stood, ready to take them on. Since he was an esper, a supernatural being, he didn’t put these lackeys in his eye.

“Bros, let's beat this guy! He dared to get in Young master Hoshi’s way!” The closest lackey said. Before he finished speaking, his fist had already appeared in front of Ming Zhao’s face. This guy was very fast. Seeing that Ming Zhao was about to get beaten up, Taruda sneered, thinking that guy was an idiot, daring to mess with I, the young master of the Hoshi corporation!

Aiko was suddenly afraid, if the guy was beaten up because of her, she wouldn’t be able to take it. She didn’t like it when people got hurt because of her, it pained her. Seeing that her savior was going to get beaten up, she immediately pushed him to the side, deciding to take the hit instead.

However, what she didn’t expect was the guy held her hand, stopping her from pushing him, while his other hand held the fist of the fast lackey. Everyone was stunned, the blonde who was about to get beaten up unexpectedly caught the fist!

As for Ming Zhao, he paid no heed to the lackeys, he looked at Aiko and felt she was very sweet, not wanting him to get hurt, deciding to push him out of the way. She was apparently the type that cared about others. His view of the girl immediately jumped up high, right at the teasable meter.

“Thanks for the concern, but I can take of this, pretty girl.” Ming Zhao said as he smiled and winked at her, making her blush. Immediately, Ming Zhao tensed up, his playboy personality came out, probably due to thinking highly of the girl. Good thing he didn’t have anything more to say, otherwise the girl would’ve been heads over heels for him right now.

Ming Zhao’s playboy self was scary. His playboy personality came to life when he first saw a beautiful girl and wanted to subdue her, and he succeeded. However, since the girl was around the same age as him, and he was 6 at the time, they didn’t do anything extravagant other than kissing on the cheeks and making a promise to marry each other. The girl was currently in Beijing, her hometown.

Ming Zhao was a young and naive kid back then, so he even used it on his sisters, which he later regretted. Now his sisters were sticking to him, showing affection every time they get. His parents even suspected if a weird relationship was going on between them.

As he got older, Ming Zhao became more aware of his surroundings, and stopped using his playboy personality. He didn’t seal it off because he’d feel empty if he did. If he did seal it off, it would be like apart of his soul was taken away, making him an empty soul. Years later, his playboy self rarely came out, and the only way to make it come out was to make him interested.

Ming Zhao stopped himself there. He didn’t want to conquer the girl, as he was a person who didn’t like taking responsibility for things, and besides, the girl had someone she cared about. If Ming Zhao went and conquered her, he had responsibilities to take care of.

As for Aiko, she was in a state of panic. Her heart was beating too quick, and her face was flushing with redness. She knew this feeling, but wanted to reject it. She already had a boyfriend, and although he wasn’t wealthy, he cared about her very much. He even got beaten up for her when she was being harassed. Also, she did not want rumors about her being spread in school.

Thus, she calmed down and reassessed the situation. The blonde boy was currently staring at her, holding her hand with one hand, while the other hand was holding the lackeys hand. The crowd had started erupting, some pointed while others started taking pictures and videos. The loud noise and flashing of the cameras stood out very much, and others started joining in due to curiosity.

They wanted to see what was going on, however the next scene stunned them. Ming Zhao lifted the hand of the lackey and slammed down, bringing the body along. Everybody gasped.
