The green hulking goblin slammed down its fists in an attempt to crush Agnes. The moment its meaty hands connected to her body, she exploded into a puff of dark green smoke. Using her gaseous form, she moved and then reformed behind it. Rearing back, she swung her cane, bashing it into the goblin’s head.
CRACK. As the cane hit the large green creature’s head, it crushed its skull immediately. Similarly to the other goblins, it fell to the ground and soon turned to ash.
With a snap of her fingers, Agnes’ knitting needles began to swiftly form some knitted yarn that stretched out in all directions. Wriggling through the trees as if alive, the yarn fished out the rest of the hidden goblins and slaughtered them.
Dumbfounded, Edith made her way beside Abigail and whispered into her ear.
“Were you aware that Agnes was this strong?”
“Not in the slightest.” Abigail continued to smile widely.
In the many years the two had known her, they hadn’t once seen her fight genuinely. They assumed she was as strong as the two of them, but they also assumed she relied more on artifacts due to the strain that her power had on her body. They had no way of knowing how much she could physically enhance her own body.
After the massacre, using her crane as a crutch, Agnes walked towards the two as the wind blew the ashes of the goblins away.
“Shall we continue?” Agnes said as she revealed one of her rare smiles.
For the next several hours, with the help of their pet goblin, the three traveled around the thick forest of Agnes’ home and slaughtered any goblin they saw. Not a single one of the creatures could stand up to the power the three presented, it was by all means a massacre.
Slightly out of breath, Agnes asked, “Is… is that all of them?”
Edith looked towards her goblin and all it did was simply return her gaze.
“Seems like it,” Edith responded.
“Great!” Abigail exclaimed. “Now we can move on to the next location.”
“Mhm.” Agnes was still relatively suspicious of how the two acted, but she had already agreed to accompany them, so there was no turning back now.
Returning to the cabin, the three stood idly outside for a while before Agnes pondered once again, “So how will we get there?”

“Ah, yes,” Edith mumbled as she glanced towards Abigail.
With a wave of Abigail’s hand, a dark red mist swirled relentlessly until a small vehicle was all that was left. The vehicle, which resembled a Model T, had a red tint to its body and seats.
“Impressive,” Agnes said rather sincerely. “Did you craft this purely out of your magic?”
“I did. I thought it would be better to be seen in a vehicle than to be seen flying, so I spent many hours studying the inner workings of one.” Abigail brimmed with pride as she assumed her seat as the driver.
Using her abilities, Abigail could easily make the vehicle drive remotely, but that would raise quite a bit of suspicion from passersby.
Waving her hand over the ignition, it roared to life. Getting in, Edith took her position in the front seat while the goblin and Agnes were left in the back. Pushing down the gas pedal, Abigail drove on the dirt path leading outside of the forest.
As they rode to their destination, there wasn’t much chatter as per usual. Glancing towards the goblin, Agnes began to scrutinize it heavily as a means to pass the time. After all, maybe she could find some sort of weakness? Then again, she wasn’t in need of a weakness for the creatures as they were inherently pretty weak.
Sighing, she looked out of the side of the vehicle and watched as the trees and foliage blurred past. Soon, they reached a smooth stone road, which Agnes was grateful for due to the many bumps that began to hurt her back while on the dirt trail.
After a little over an hour of nothing but silence, the three finally came upon the town. It was a somewhat medium sized town; there wasn’t too much bustle, but it was also far from empty.
As the three rode past many tall brick buildings and wooden houses, Abigail was the first person to speak up.
“We’ve made it, there should be a hotel not too far up the road.”
Agnes wasn’t much for staying in towns, she much preferred to stay secluded in her own world. Very rarely did she decide-
While deep in thought, her eyes caught sight of something standing on top of a relatively tall building. Its figure wasn’t imposing, at least from what she could tell, and all it did was simply watch eerily. She wasn’t completely sure what it was as she only saw its deep gray eyes for a moment.
“Odd,” she mumbled to herself.
Soon, they pulled up to the grand white hotel with many windows lining its walls and parked in the nearby parking lot. Before they could step foot outside of the vehicle, Agnes inquired about a simple yet important question.
“What should we do about the goblin?”
Both Edith and Abigail froze before coming to the realization that leading a strange creature into a busy place could cause chaos.
“Hypnosis?” Edith suggested.
“With that many people, good luck,” Abigail remarked.
“Even if we do sneak it in, how would we continue to hide it? Wouldn’t it cause some sort of problem?” Agnes peered towards the small creature.
“The only reason it wasn’t noticed while we were riding here was due to my cloaking, so let’s just continue to do that and take turns keeping an eye on it.”
With Edith’s useful but annoying suggestion, the three finally came to a decision to do just that.
Walking up the hotel entrance, Agnes couldn’t help but notice that something was watching them intently. Its eyes felt like it was analyzing every possible thing about them.
“What a nuisance,” Agnes mumbled while entering the well put together hotel.
