I sat down on the chair in the lobby and gathered my thoughts. What the hell is going on in my dorm room? Why can't I go? Was she tricking me? I decided to take the safe route, I would wait in the dorm lobby until someone I had somewhat known came in, and pay them private points to go to my room and report back to me what they saw.
An hour passed, and no one, I remotely knew had walked in. To be fair, I've only talked to like 10 people so far. At this point, I was considering calling Hyori to ask to check it out, but my room was on the male floor, so it would be weird for her to go. But, then again, Kamuro's boss, Sakayanagi, was a female and she might be near my room.
Right when I was about to call Hyori, a familiar face walked in. He was a student from Class D with dark brown hair, and he was accompanied by Manabu's little sister or the money bag. I saw them press the button for the elevator. It's now or never. I walked up to the brown-haired student and asked.
"uh, Can I pay you some private points to do me a favor?"
This could be dangerous as Class D probably knew by now I instigated Sudo back then, so they might think I'm plotting something else. It wasn't the brown-haired boy who responded, but Manabu's little sister.
"Explain"
"... I think someone is camping outside my dorm room, so I don't want to go there. I'll pay 10,000 points if you can go to my dorm and report back."
"..."
They must think I'm some weirdo huh? Then again, 10,000 private points could be seen as a lot for them as they only receive around 30,000 per month, so hopefully, he accepts. The brown-haired student looked at me and spoke.
"... is that all? for 10 thousand private points"
"yeah, room 502"
Manabu's little sister intervened yet again even though I was clearly having a conversation with this brown-haired boy. Seriously, this is none of her business, but I guess she wants to be safe.
"pay before"
I nodded my head and quickly paid the brown-haired boy the points. When you exchange points, you also exchange contact information, so I was able to see his name. Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. Ayonokoji nodded his head, signaling that he received the points, and headed on the elevator while Manabu's little sister waited behind.
What the hell did she think she was gonna gain from hearing his report? It's just my goddamn dorm room. Is it really that fucking important. First, the leader of Class A wants my goddamn dorm and this girl too. Before the elevator doors closed, I added.
"If someone's there, just pretend like you're passing through, then come back. Do not let them know you were hired or anything."
The elevator doors closed, so Manabu's little sister and I waited for Ayonokoji's return in silence. The awkwardness was killing me, so I pulled out my phone to pretend like I was messaging someone. Yep, my messages app is empty. Everything is back to normal.
Just then, the entrance of the building opened, and some students walked in. Fuck, they could be from Class A and be heading up to my dorm room. Without thinking, I immediately put my hood on and slowly walked away from the elevator waiting area. Manabu's little sister glanced at me before making a disgusted expression. What the hell do you want me to do?
The students got onto the elevator while Manabu's little sister stepped aside, and I faced away from them with my hood on and my face covered by my phone. No chance, someone recognizes me. Seeing them get on, I walked back to the elevator waiting area. After another minute of silence, Manabu's little sister finally asked.
"Why did you hide from your own classmates?"
Fuck, those guys were Class B? How the hell does she know my classmates better than me? How am I even supposed to respond to that? I thought for a moment and realized I could use this moment to seriously trick her. I just had to respond in some vague way and she would begin formulating theories like how Class B kicked me out or I was their enemy. I responded.
"none of your business"
*PFFF I laughed internally thinking what type of crazy theories she would come up with. "Hikigaya is the enemy of Class B" This misunderstanding was sure to be a funny one.
After 5 more minutes, Ayonokoji finally returned to the lobby and gave his report.

"There was a girl from Class A waiting outside your room"
"..."
Why the hell was a girl on the boy's floor? Did no other boys question her? What the hell am I going to do now? One girl can't seriously cause me that much trouble, right? I cautiously asked.
"Did that girl have white hair and a cane"
"... yes"
Ah shit, I am so fucked. Why the hell does the leader of Class A think they're doing by camping outside my goddamn dorm room.
-*- (POV Change to third person)
Listening to the conversation between the two boys, Horkita began to ponder the possibilities. First, the boy, who extorted their entire class for 20 million points, asks them for a favor of checking his dorm room and is willing to pay the extreme price of 10,000 points. Next, he hides from his classmates for some reason and refuses to tell her. Finally, the girl waiting outside his dorm room is Sakayanagi, a leader of Class A.
Why does the leader of Class A want to talk with him in his dorm, and how is it related to him hiding from his classmates? Also, why does he not go check his dorm room by himself? Why must he pay someone else to do it? Taking Horikita out of her thoughts, Hikigaya asked.
"uhhh hey man, you think I could rent you dorm room for the night"
"..."
Horkita began thinking again. Why is this guy willing to go to such lengths to avoid Class A's leader? Why was he chosen for the student council?
Ayonokoji was also confused. Why was Sakayanagi waiting outside this guy's dorm, and why was this guy so scared of talking to her? Also, how did he know that someone might be waiting outside his dorm room? Ayonokoji thought for a moment and responded.
"Where will I sleep then?"
Hikigaya considered for a moment and responded.
"... uh with her?"
"..."
"..."
Horkita, who was previously uninterested in this conversation, now immediately turned tomato red. Was this guy seriously suggesting that a man sleep in her room?
Ayonokoji was about to ask how much he was willing to pay for the dorm room, but he turned to Horkita and realized that she was sending him a death glare. Surely, if he asked that question, he would most likely die. No amount of white room training could get him out of this situation.
Hikigaya, on the other hand, looked between the Class D students and realized something. He was going to cancel the contract with them tomorrow anyway, so he could just use that as a bargaining chip. He wouldn't lose anything, and no matter what, they would have to agree. This was the perfect plan. Hikigaya broke the awkward silence and said.
"I'll cancel my 20 million point contract if one of you agrees to let me have your dorm room for the night"
"..."
"..."
Horikita's brain flew into circles. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? This guy is willing to lose out on 20 million private points and control over Class D just to avoid Sakayanagi? What the hell did this guy do to her? This was too good to be true. Surely, there has to be an ulterior motive. Sakayanagi might be scary, but 20 million private points scary.. There has to be a trick.
Ayonokoji thought for a moment and realized that this guy had to be decently smart to think of baiting Sudo for points, so it would be impossible for him to suggest something like this. Unless he did do something bad to Sakayanagi, he had no reason to fear her. What is his ultimate motive? The only logical situation Ayonokoji could think of was that he was planning to cancel the contract tomorrow anyway for some unknown reason. Maybe he got points from an outsider or was threatened by Class B? Anyways, this deal had no downsides. Class D breaks free from the contract while he only has to share a room with Horikita for a night. Even if he was planning to cancel the contract tomorrow, there is nothing for them to lose in this scenario.
Hikigaya looked at the two student's doubtful expressions, before again saying.
"There are security cameras here. We can make a verbal agreement in front of them. I will cancel the contract with Class D for 20 million private points if I receive housing from Ayonokoji."
Hikigaya placed his hand forward, indicating a handshake, and with his other hand, he gestured towards the security camera above.
Horkita looking at this deal could see no downside for Class D. Aside from her sharing a room with a guy, there was nothing wrong. His words were clear and left no room for manipulation. Still, what the hell was going on with this guy?
Before Horikita could do anything, Ayonokoji shook Hikigaya's hand and spoke.
"Ok follow me to my room"
"... alright"
The 3 students got into the elevator silently. Horkita and Ayonokoji's minds were running rapidly with all the possible scenarios while Hikigaya was internally laughing.
Hikigaya realized that the misunderstandings that would come from this situation would be enormous. First, he pays someone to check his room, then he hides from his classmates, third, the Class A leader is waiting outside his door, and finally, he is willing to offer 20 million private points to avoid her.
The scene that would occur within Class D was going to be hilarious, and Hikigaya could not wait to see it. He was like a little kid waiting for his favorite movie to come out in the cinema. The 3 students got out on the 4th floor, and Ayonokoji led Hikigaya into his room. After ensuring that Hikigaya wouldn't do anything inside, Horikita and he left the room, leaving Hikigaya alone.
The 2 Class D students quietly entered the elevator, and once inside, Horikita asked.
"What the hell is going on?"
"I couldn't tell you honestly"
Whatever Hikigaya's plan was, they got free of the 20 million private point contract for the small price of sharing a dorm room for the night. There was no point in questioning him, that guy was clearly insane.
Ayonokoji timidly followed Horikita into her room, and thankfully, the two went unnoticed.
"So, where am I going to sleep..."
"figure it out"
Horikita ignored Ayonokjo and brushed her teeth before heading to sleep. Ayonokoji laid down on the floor and took out his phone to message Hikigaya to ensure he didn't mess up his room. That Hikigaya was clearly a psycho, so Ayonokoji definitely couldn't trust him with his dorm room, but alas the deal was too good to pass up.
-*- (POV Back to Hikigaya)
I was laughing thinking of the state of Class D tomorrow when Ayonokoji and Manabu's little sister explained the situation.
