Chapter 4: Deep and Sky

Chapter 4: Deep and Sky

As Sun diverted their attention away from the fierce conflict, their focus shifted towards Earth, who now observed the battle with a somewhat diminished worry. Curiosity , Sun posed a question to Earth. "Earth, have you come to understand your dormant abilities?" Earth pondered for a moment, contemplating the power that lay dormant within them. Finally, they responded with a deep rumble, "I will figure it out in due time, Sun. Though I appreciate your willingness to assist me." Though Sun felt a pang of dejection at Earth's self-reliant nature, but they had anticipated this response from their grounded sibling. Suddenly, a surge of power pulsed through both Sun and Earth, accompanied by a faint cracking sound.

Sun and Earth turned their attention towards the source of the presence. To their surprise and delight, two more of their siblings were awakening. The energy residue layer cracked and fell away, revealing the visage of these newly awakened beings. On the right stood a colossal serpentine creature, its narrow head adorned with countless serrated teeth. The deep blue scales that covered its body mirrored the never-ending depths of the sea, while its piercing yellow eyes held an air of ancient wisdom.

Opposite the serpentine being, stood a figure that bore a striking resemblance, yet its body was adorned with sky-blue feathers that resembled a stormy sky. The feathers shimmered and rustled with an ethereal energy as their similar yellow eyes sparkled with curiosity. Then they noticed each other.

As Sun and Earth observed their siblings sizing each other up, a tense silence settled over the celestial realm. They narrowed their eyes then as if some cosmic truth had suddenly been illuminated within their beings the two siblings prepared for what seemed like an unavoidable clash, a collision between two opposing forces that were strangely connected at their core.

It was as if these siblings were different sides of the same coin, each embodying a unique aspect of the cosmic order. Yet, despite their similarities, their differences were stark and undeniable. The atmosphere grew heavy with the weight of their impending battle, as if it had become a moment of reckoning for both of them.Unbeknownst to the divine beings engaged in this intense confrontation, Earth could sense the devastating consequences that would follow if they were to unleash the full extent of their powers upon each other. With a deep sense of urgency, Earth moved swiftly, attempting to intervene and prevent any irreparable damage that would jeopardize the life of their two newly awakened siblings.

But Earth's attempts to intervene were in vain, as the two serpentine beings seized the opportunity before them. With a synchronized motion, they both coiled their awe-inspiring bodies, lifting themselves few hundred kilometers into the heavens above. Reaching their limit, they arched their heads back, preparing for an intense clash that would decide their fates.

As Sun watched with intrigue and Earth with trepidation, their hearts heavy with concern, the battle unfolded.

As a Deep attacked, akin to the weight of the sea attempting to drown the entire surface, Sky collided with the ferocity of raging storm. Both beings lunged, teeth bared and jaws snapping, only to find their attacks repelled by the impenetrable scales and dense foliage of feathers. Undeterred, they persisted, hurling themselves at one another, thrashing and coiling in a frenzied dance of raw power.

However, amidst the chaotic clash, Earth halted its charge and surveyed the scene with a feeling of bafflement and Sun with amusement. Despite their impressive displays of force, it became apparent that neither of their siblings possessed the same innate mastery of their powers as Red did. Without fully harnessing these powers, their attempts to harm each other were rendered futile, transforming their battle into more of a playful exchange than a true death match.

It was stark contrast to the self-proclaimed harmless banter between Red and Fire. The celestial beings seemed more engaged in a spirited sibling rivalry than a battle of life or death. Although their clashes unleashed a tempestuous display of cosmic energy, the lack of true harm being inflicted left a sense of relief and amusement amidst the seemingly violent spectacle.

After a futile battle that left the celestial siblings perplexed but not exhausted, they reluctantly ceased their futile attempts to harm one another and instead locked eyes in a contemplative stare.

As they stood their ground, their rivalry momentarily forgotten, their attention was drawn to a colossal being in the distance. This majestic entity was composed of fused boulders and adorned with hills jutting out from its back, a testament to Earth's colossal visage.

Intrigued yet wary, Deep and Sky turned their attention to the enigmatic being as it raised its remarkable hands and called out to them. However, instead of comprehensible words, all they discerned was a deep rumbling that resonated through their celestial beings. Confusion clouded their expressions as they exchanged puzzled glances, uncertain of the being's intentions.

But suddenly, an unexpected sensation washed over them. It was as if someone was projecting their thoughts directly into their minds. In that moment of mental contact, the twins felt the presence of an immensely powerful and unyielding mind. The voice of the intruder resonated within their consciousness, a rumble that echoed through their very souls.

"Welcome, siblings of mine," the intruder's voice reverberated through their minds. "We have much talking to do."

As Earth engaged in a deep conversation with the other siblings, Sun watched with contemplation and intrigue. The sight of Deep and Sky, their unique serpentine forms distinct from their form piqued Sun's curiosity. Their bodies resembled Sun in some ways, but there were stark differences that set them apart.

If Sun were to describe their appearance, they would liken them to poles with sharp ends. Their bodies formed a sinuous, serpentine shape, with a slender head and tail. Their heads were adorned with a menacing maw, housing multiple rows of serrated teeth. Sun marveled at their duality, a characteristic unlike any of their siblings. Unlike the subtle nuances or playful banter that defined the interactions between other siblings, Deep and Sky embodied a stark opposition, locked in an instinctive conflict from the moment they first opened their eyes.

Reflecting on their mythical family, Sun recognized that, apart from Red's battle-loving nature, no other sibling possessed such inherent natures that would drive them to immediate conflict.

As Sun's attention briefly shifted to the ongoing battle between Fire and Red, a deep sigh escaped their radiant form. The sight of their two hot-blooded siblings locked in combat, showing no signs of slowing down, filled Sun with a sense of resignation. 'Do they truly intend to fight until every sibling awakens?' Sun pondered internally, a tinge of frustration seeping into their thoughts.

However, amidst the ceaseless tumult, a subtle hum resonated across the land, permeating the world itself. The faint reverberations momentarily caught the attention of Fire and Red, causing them to briefly pause their relentless exchange before resuming their fierce skirmish. Although the battle-obsessed duo may not have consciously registered the significance of the hum, Sun, who held a vigilant focus on the slumbering siblings, detected this audio disturbance.

Sensing an undertone of anticipation, Sun's curiosity was piqued. As the hum continued, Sun's nurturing beams of light cast a warm glow over their siblings and reached the source of the sound.
