CH 59: Traveler

Noah did not know what to expect from the cruise ship even as he finally landed on the dock. He wished to keep his expectations small and avoid any disappointment.

The hangar of the small ship opened, making way for Noah to step out of the transporter ship that worked like a ferry and board him onto the main ship. The moment he stepped onto the cruise ship, he was immediately greeted by a pink-haired woman wearing what Noah could only describe as a ludicrous outfit.

She wore a tight-fitting bunny girl outfit that would make some of the boldest women on earth blush in shame, as it hid barely anything. A pair of translucent stockings snugly wrapped her spilling thighs, two plastic star shapes covering her nipples, barely providing a modicum of modesty, while a pair of extremely thin panties barely covered her most intimate region.

The woman was short and buxom and from the pair of ears twitching on her head, Noah surmised that she was actually some kind of bunny girl, which was pretty fitting for the outfit she was donning now that he thought about it.

“Welcome, master! I am B-54. I was designed as your guide during this adventure!”

The girl bowed with a chirpy voice full of joy, prompting Noah to smile despite the confusion that the whole bizarre situation brought him. His face twitched somewhat at her name, however, he refrained from voicing his opinion. It was not his place to act or comment since he knew nothing about her situation.

“Hey, I am Noah.” He uttered while looking around the hangar. Spreading his senses, he tried to get a better picture of his surroundings and maybe figure out what situation he was getting himself into. If his senses were right, then he was in a sort of reception hall at the moment. He could see all sorts of people milling about in his surroundings, but they all seemed to be staff of the ship.

“Master Noah! I am happy to meet you. I see that you have no luggage. Would you like me to guide you to your room? Or would you rather explore the cruise ship first?”

Hesitation took over Noah’s mind, he did not know the girl enough to follow her on unknown territory. In the end, curiosity still won the argument in his head. He was very interested in the ship’s interior, and who knows, maybe he could chance upon some interesting encounters in the process.

— You seriously won’t ask her why she is wearing such clothes?

They say when in Rome act as the Romans do.

He wouldn’t be surprised if the sense of shame between races was extremely different. It was better to observe the situation and get more information before yapping.

“Let’s go for a tour first,” Noah said and he could see the girl visibly brighten at this.

“Then let’s go!” She jumped on her feet and then started walking ahead with brisk steps.

Hum, perhaps a commission system?

It wouldn’t be strange. Perhaps the more money he spent the more rewards she would get? Or maybe her income depended on how much time he spent with her? There was more than one idea circling in his head on how this worked.

Hum…

“So, not that I am unhappy about this rather interesting welcome but what is going on? Is it something all passengers get?” He asked in the spirit of discussion but B-54 shook her head.

“Only our super VIP receives a personal guide. Lower ranked VIPs receive a bot as a guide and normal passengers have pre-recorded information.”

Super VIP? Noah was startled at first but it didn’t take long for him to understand. There was no way Morgiana would have paid for a VIP room with how broke her team was. This was undoubtedly a gift from Oz.

Viva la capitalism and Viva la Oz! Noah chortled.

Since Noah had decided to have a closer relationship with Oz, he felt no shame in receiving this… delightful gift from them. He would pay them back in the future.

He was certainly going to enjoy being pampered as much as possible for the moment.

It only took a few moments for them to finally reach what seemed to be an elevator. Entering it, Noah nearly got dizzy when he looked at the more than 100 buttons on the panel to the side.

“Our ship, Voyager III, is one of the greatest ships created by the Federation. It travels through the galaxy and stops regularly at the best planets for our passengers to enjoy.” She pointed at the button, “You do not need to worry. As your designated guide I will follow you and will be ready for any orders you may have. Leave everything to me.”

She gave a cute smile and flexed her muscles at him, causing a chuckle to leak out. He was starting to like the girl. She was interesting.

“Do you have any preference for where to go first? We have many attractions and even projections for simulated worlds.”

Noah grinned, “You said to leave everything to you, right? You are the guide. I will follow you.”

She beamed at his words, “You will not regret it!” She eyed him up and down and clapped, “Why don’t we go for some changes of clothes first?”

Noah could feel from her hesitant tone that it was a polite way to tell him his clothes didn’t exactly fit the setting but he only shrugged. “Let’s go.”

Getting a change of clothes could be interesting. Truthfully, he didn’t care even if he went in butt naked for that matter. Shame had long since vanished from his mind after the unknown eons he lived on that vanished planet.

“Very well.”

She pushed one of the buttons, and soon Noah watched as multicolored lights danced on the edges of his vision, illuminating the elevator for a few seconds before the whole structure stopped.

“We are here.”

It took all his strength to not show a dumb look at her words. Noah was confident in his enhanced senses, but he did not feel even a single movement before they arrived at their destination.

Technology is quite…

His train of thought was cut short when the door of the elevator opened and Noah got a good look at the main hall of the cruise ship.

“Hah…”

He was greeted by towering crystalline sculptures that shimmered with refracted light, casting a kaleidoscopic dance of colors across the polished marble floors. The sculptures seemed to represent warriors in full-power armor fighting against Parasites.

Lush greenery cascaded from elevated gardens, intermingling with futuristic art installations that seemed to pulse with a sense of life. Noah had seen the endless depictions and even renditions of what the Hanging Garden of Babylon could have looked like and he had to admit that even one of the seven marvels of Earth paled immensely in comparison to what he was witnessing.

The ceiling was a blue sky, endlessly stretching through flocks of clouds, giving him the impression that he was on a planet rather than a spaceship.

The main concourse stretched endlessly, adorned with boutiques featuring exotic wares from different civilizations, and interactive displays offering virtual tours to visit planets that were destroyed hundreds of years ago.

Obviously, as a confirmed glutton, Noah’s eyes landed on the different restaurants that lined up on both sides of the hall. The other structures steaming with food were what Noah could only think of as fast food stands, they also attracted his gaze. He was unable to smell anything from this distance, but the appearance alone was mouthwatering.

B-54 took him across the entertainment decks, filled with holographic theaters where performances seamlessly blended reality and illusion. He could even see the tentacle Idol he watched last time on TV, dancing and singing at the moment.

The oversexualized bunny girl was quite the guide as she offered him comments and explained things to him, “This is the Sports arena.” She pointed at opaque bubbles floating in the air, “Some of the coaches of the Galactic football cup come here to work after retiring and the same goes for many other sports. Even combat.”

“Oh, combat?” Noah was intrigued. He was curious about the standard of the world so he marked down this place as something to visit later on.

The visit continued and Noah was able to find some interesting spas. From what his bunny guide told him, those spas offered rejuvenation through bio-regenerative therapies and sensory immersion pods. One could look 30-50 years younger depending on their race.

She did not explain more but she did make it clear that some of those spas would provide services that went beyond just massaging him. The thought was intriguing to him, mildly though as he soon lost all interest.

He was more interested in the different robots he could find on the road.

Throughout the ship, intelligent bots glided silently, attending to every whim of the passengers with an efficiency that belied their humanoid form. Noah stopped a few on the way to inspect them and he soon realized that… for all the intelligence they showed, they were no match for superior robots like Tin or a sentient AI like Crow. It proved once again just how special the two were from the rest.

“We are here.”

B-54 stopped in front of a shop with a closed door. “Once we choose a few clothes that will suit you, we will go back to the restaurant for a meal and finish the tour for now by finding your room. I believe it will be enough for now.”

Noah had nothing to say. He was like a child in a candy shop. This small trip toward Neverland promised to be quite interesting.
