All he could hear was his heart beat thumping as he got closer to his destination. He had his eyes closed picturing his wife with open arms welcoming him back  with her big smile that would melt any man’s heart and deep blue eyes that captivated you into thinking that you were staring into the endless sky. He imaged her saying I miss you my love in her sweet tender voice. He loved her very much and missed her to the point that his heart would ache in pain.  

Suddenly someone grabbed his shoulder in front of him, bringing him back to reality. He looked at the young man and nodded. The young man nodded back acknowledging his response and went back to his seat. In front of him were 14 men with 7 sitting on his left side and the other 7 on his right side. He got up and picked up his Colt M4 Carbine Assault rifle outfitted for a large stealth assault against the enemy base. As he got up the other men got up and saluted in response as he walked past them. All you could hear were the sound of their heavy breathing, the thumping noise for every step he took past them, and the back door of the assault jet opening up letting in the air pressure looking to suck you out if you let it. He looked down into the endless darkness and with no hesitation he jumped into the darkness letting it shallow him up. Following his action the other men walked side by side and jumped in the pairs of 2’s following him into the darkness.
