The only thing I could think of is Stanley playing a trick on me again. That dang rock always having its crab claws attack me! Wait... I think Stanley might be a hermit crab a giant one at that. It would explain a lot of things.
Is the conical head thing doing this? Is it making me not an idiot? The boxes did say that I equipped a wizard hat and that I had +5 intelligence. It also said that I had a +1 to all stats! That explains why I feel like I could fly a marathon.

I jump in the air and squawk at the sudden appearance of another of those boxes.
Ooh I am very smart now! Though I guess all my stats were 0 before so then –1 is the worst there is, I guess.
WAIT!!! There are two things I see that are very interesting, Mutations, and Name.
Alas I need a name... Ah I’ll figure it out in time.
Will mutations let me have another set of wings or the ability to get shiny things instantly?

I hear the familiar sound of the mama-many-legs. No mama spider.
I have heard that sound twice before. Once was when an especially powerful group of two legs--- no humans went into the cave and started slaughtering all the spiders. The other time was when I had ventured into the very same cave, when that group of powerful humans had died, to get shinies that the humans had. The mama spider had attacked me then since I got to close to her feeding.
THUD THUD THUD
While I was reminiscing about how horrible mama-spider is. The THUDS got closer! It seems like it's just beyond the corner.
I get as close to the ground as a crow can and squeezed into a crevice near the skull of Star just as the eight-eyed ugly face of mama-spider comes into view. I wiggle to try to get deeper into my crevice as the rest of mama-spiders grotesque body came into view.
She had one massive mandible dripping with some fluid probably deadly it looks like she lost her mandible from a fight long-past, eight hairy legs sticking out of her body held her up one looked damaged from fire and seemingly couldn't move,a charred backside covered with burn wounds dragged behind her.
Overall mamma spider is eight feet long and 7 feet long (with the legs)
What drew her here? Was I subconsciously cackling?
I shiver just thinking about what would happen if she finds me.
Surprising me a gravelly voice calls out from the... spider!?
“Little one I know you’re here HEHEHEHHEEHE- cough cough. Maybe we can reach an agreement with you giving me the hat and me giving you shinies! It’s a win-win situation!”
Initially I'm scared for my life but once the offer comes up, I'm very tempted.

I hop out of my crevice thinking about how good tree will look with the new shinies! Wait a second... wont Tree look good with the hat on too.

I wriggle to get out, but it fails. Oh man how am I going to get out???

I frantically look around to see if anything around me can save me. Burnt bones that’s about it.
Just as I give in to me dying at the mandible of this spider, I feel something Awaken inside of me.
It's like a dam has broken and all the held water within rushes out into me.

Immediately after I receive the spell, I start shaping the mana inside of me into the shape of the (cannot translate from the crow language) when I do this, I feel a pressure building up in my beak. And once the rune feels complete, I release it!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM
A beam of golden light launches out of my beak and strait into the mouth of the spider.
SCREEEEEEECCHHHHH
The spider lets out a mighty screech and slumps to the side of the cave with a hole through its head.
