Caleb inherits his uncle's Replicator, a machine used to create mercenary companions for adventurers. Unlike other companion farmers, Caleb’s replicator machine is “broken”. It has none of the kingdom-enforced restrictions, so the only limit is the recipes he finds and the ingredients he can gather.
