Afterschool I couldn't wait to see Eric we had been meeting each other in secret. Because we couldn't tell anybody that we've been seeing each other. I was walking home and I found him and said,"Hi Eric!" He said,"Hey Stacy." He said with a smile. We looked around to see if anybody was there but then Eric said,"I know a perfect place we can hang out." He grabbed my arm and we ran to some woods I said,"Do you know the way to get out?" He said,"Of course just trust me okay?" I said,"Okay sure..." When we were done I was glad I listened to him. It was beautiful. There was even a bench there Eric said,"You like it?" I looked him in the eye and said,"I love it.." I sat down on the bench and he sat next to me. He said,"What do you want to talk about?" I said,"Well how long do you think we'll have to do this?" He looked down put his arm around me and said,"I wish I knew Stacy wish I knew..." I put my head on his shoulder and tried my hardest not to cry. I didn't want to just meet in secret I wanted us to be in the public not to show off but....Just so we didn't have to worry about being mocked or shamed just because he's white and I'm black and we are seeing each other. But suddenly I said,"Eric...I know it isn't really normal but...." I didn't know what to say so I just kissed him on the cheek. He said,"I wanted to ask you that but I didn't know how." I then remembered I was having a sleepover with Josey tonight. I said,"Eric my friend Josey is coming over to my house soon I gotta go." But before I stood up I kissed him on the cheek one more time. And went out of the woods. While I was walking home I saw Josey and she said,"Hi! Where have you been?" I was a bit nervous so I just said,"Just walking around..." She said well let's just get to your house race ya!" And we went running.
