"In latest international news, the US congress pushed to sanction Russia for overthrowing Ukraine's government, establishing a new regime reinvigorating the former Soviet Eastern Bloc. Chinese officials are also facing the same heavy sanctions after the annexation of outer Mongolia and North Korea. European countries especially from London, Paris, and Berlin are speaking about concerns for all democratic countries," the new reporter said.
"The Secretary of Defense called it a foolish decision. Attacking a democratic nation is unacceptable and should be severely punished. However, a Russian and Chinese spokesperson had called out Washington for the Lunar Calamity 80 years ago and how the leading country of the world neglected the problems occurring from the accident."
The old man sighs heavily taking in what the reporter said. "We can't afford to go to war again, we still haven't recovered from the Third World War."
"How can they think about such matters. We lost a lot! My son! They still haven't talked to me about my missing son!" The woman howled as she clutched a picture frame close to her chest, tears gliding down her cheeks.
Her husband kneels down consoling his wife. He reaches into his pocket taking out a tiny disk placing it on the mural. Lights flickered, a holo-gram of their son appears with him smiling. The father stood up Saluting his son before the monument. He held his salute with pain in his eyes. An expression of great grief burst from his eyes. He placed his son's black brett on the mural, taking his wife's hand and saying their final farewells to their beloved son.
Johnathan Blackwell, June 23, 2220- September 25, 2245, killed In Action.
"It'll never end. What weapon of mass destruction will they use next?" The black haired woman asked the young girl, watching the grief stricken families depart from the mural.
But the girl didn't reply.
"Just as how church and state where intertwined now it's science and state. They're striding to outdo the other for complete technological supremacy, those seven will be humanities end," the woman said.
The oddly dressed girl looks up at the sky watching a fleet of ships high above traversing the skies. "Here we are... once again."

“Kuniva, born between June 21 and July 22. You are a moon child, always wearing your heart on your sleeve and caring for those around you taking action to protect, a true defender of the heart and body. Today’s prediction is… a great reunion!~ oh~! What’s this?~ a special bond?~ maybe things will get a bit closer!~ Ohh young love~!” the female V.I said.
“This daily horoscope thing is interesting and yet a bit frightening all at once. And what did they mean by reunion?”
At a loss for words walking the city streets of Manhattan. He read his horoscope one more time before tossing the magazine on a recycling stand. He had always thought that horoscopes tend to shift like the weather. He laughed it off when it wasn’t too far off but the horoscope wasn’t wrong.
“I have her to blame for this horoscope mess she put me in.”
Though when introduced to horoscopes he couldn’t deny how it dictated a person's way of life.
“Today is a nice day, I’ll take a detour through the park.

“Shit I gotta get away from here and hide!” a man said shouting at the top of his lungs sprinting down the street knocking over pedestrians. He zigzags through the large crowd heavily panting as sweat glides down his face, he showed no signs of stopping his almost 1 mile tremendous flight.
He cuts the corner and veers into an alleyway. He strides through the alleyway knocking over garbage cans frightening a few cats. He looked over back at the alley entrance looking to see if anyone followed him, but it was only him. He pauses for a moment to catch his breath leaning up against the wall.
“Damn Public Safety always showing up when things start getting good. I got a good distance from the park before that girl saw my—"
“I don’t get why you’re running away like you seen a ghost.” A girl's voice echoed through the alleyway.
The perpetrator didn’t have a chance to see where the voice originated from, but by the pale look on his face he knew who the voice belonged to.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
“Gah!”
A girl in a white sweater, teal shirt, and black athlete leggings drops in from above from out of thin air and strikes a swift blow to the perpetrator in the head with a kick quickly knocking him to the littered floor. She grabbed the perpetrator’s arm and cuffed him. The cuffs chimed and locked around his wrists.
“How many times are we going to keep doing this? No sense in running away.”
“Eat it you Public Safety—"
She sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose stepping on the back of the man's head.
“Sheesh, you have a mouth on you.” She grabs hold of his collar. A glowing band appeared around her wrist and they vanished into thin air.
Instantly the girl in the teal shirt changes her location to a park. She looked off to her left to where a grunting sound came from. She took out another pair of handcuffs from her bag and flashed them in the air as she pulled on her sweater showing her badge pinned on the left side of her chest.
“156th Branch of Public Security. You’re under arrest. Don’t move unless you want a titanium spike in… your… leg?” she said slowly dropping her arms to her sides and tilting her head.
She gazes upon a group of unconscious boy's on the ground at the center, a lone young boy sporting neck length black hair with silver streaks wearing a black sweater half-zipped with a plain white shirt underneath.
His vertical slit red eyes beaming with a crimson hue with a brown smooth face, average figure for a boy his height, and sharp nails like a cat. He straightens out his sweater and looks back at the girl who was just flashing handcuffs in the air.
His eyes widened. “Yeo, Jasmine.”
Blueish-white sparks leap from his hair, the atmosphere around him smelled like rain but there wasn’t a single thunder cloud in sight or any sign of rain, the sky was clear as it can be on a summer day.
Her face lights up like the sun when she gets a better look at the boy.
“… Oh yeah! I received a report today about a boy getting robbed in broad daylight which is... confusing. I had no idea that it was you doing the robbing.”
“….”
“….”
Her head tilts to the side as the silence drags on. “Uh, Kuniva?”

June 23 Wednesday morning, a few days away from summer vacation. The summer heat came all in one go suffocating the city. While people waited for the bus in the sweltering heat, a small holo-gram of a woman appeared when a couple of tourists waved at the kiosk.
The small holo-gram of a woman waves back surprising the group. “Greetings, my name is Emily. I'm the city's virtual intelligence tour guide. Welcome to Neo New York City, the city that never sleeps, once the financial heart of the world, thirty-five years ago before the Lunar Calamity and Third World War. After decades of internal struggle and repiecing the country together the people vowed to further science and technology. New York was rebuilt into the heart of science, medicine, and advanced technology research after a category 6 hurricane devastated the city and Greater New York. The city is now home to 6.456 million people, just one fourth of its previous numbers. 37% of the people that live here are biotics, people that have psychic or physical aptitudes. Various organizations from around the world come here to further research biotic abilities. In this high-tech megalopolis, dozens of schools, colleges, and institutions were built to do research on biotic physiology, artificial intelligence technology, virtual intelligence, as well as infrastructure that can improve humanity for future generations."

Grand Central was crammed with commuters and sightseers alike going to their destinations.
Kuniva and Jasmine departed from the bustling train station squeezed by other riders waiting by the bus stop.
“I just want you to know that maintaining the safety of the people within this district is the 156th Branch of Public Safety responsibility. How many times am I going to have to keep telling you this?” Jasmine said sharply as she scrolled on her sleeve.
“Okay, what else am I supposed to do? Just stand there and let them rob me in broad daylight? Not a chance, sister.” He looks up at the clear blue sky. He then suddenly balls his fist frightening Jasmine she was shocked from the electricity causing her Network Sleeve to glitch out.
"Easy now!!!"
“I haven’t lost yet… well except for those few times when I was in elementary school.” He clenched his fist tighter and tighter as he rebounds with a sudden determination. Jasmine sighed, shaking her head.
“If you don’t stop this mess, people will look down on you if you keep attacking without the right authority. I hope you understand?” Jasmine takes her shades off rubbing her teary eyes.
“I believe the renaming of this district to Arcadia is too good of a name for such a hell hold like this, it beats the purpose of the name.”
Jasmine's eyebrow raises hearing the words Kuniva just blurted out from his mouth. “What made you say that?”
“Do you see all this high-tech security around the city? It’s all nothing but an empty hype to get people to praise the city even more. Even with the use of this advanced tech they can’t even keep mishaps from sprouting up.”
*Beeb, beep*
A small floating drone chimes flying over their heads towards a group on a bench.
“Sir, note that you are smoking in a No Smoke Zone. I’ll advise you to put out your cigarette. This part of Manhattan is a non-smoking zone. It’s also been concluded that you are all underage, please show your I.D.” The floating security robot repeated the same phrase to the young boys sitting on the bench.
They walked to the water fountain at the park. Kuniva stops for a drink. “It’s just a waste of money if you ask me.”
Jasmine takes a deep breath massaging her temples. “Once again you’re not listening to a word I’m saying."
