All rules were changed, as long as you did not use your powers to directly injure anyone it will be overlooked. Onizuka and Yua were still confused as to what Sakura and the father were arguing about, ‘it is just a game they thought to themselves’ but this game had their lives on the line. After the coin toss confirmed that team Sakura will be going first she went to take her seat, and Onizuka stood up to go and get a card.
He got up front and felt a portentous presence crashing his soul down, he started to sweat and his heart rate increased the closer and closer his hand got to the cards. When he place his hand on it and picked up the card his heart felt like it was going to jump out of his neck at any moment. But once he looked at it he calmed down and let out heavy pants, he lifted his head in the direction of Sakura and she just looked at him coldly.
“What is wrong boy? Never played this game before?” The father asked Onizuka without that fake kindness he had for them beforehand. This annoyed Onizuka and swore without making anybody aware. Immediately he started making gestures a ball of spiritual energy started to form behind him, it was a vulture. Sakura saw this and still decided to say “chicken” the spirit of the vulture attacked the father.
Onizuka was startled and threw the card down, Sakura said the correct answer and the vulture disappeared. They were awarded four points and Onizuka ran to his seat. “Oy, what is the big idea? I think I just saw a ghost.”
“Are you dumb or are you super dumb? We are in a ghost house and this game will decide whether you live or die.” Black said in an indifferent tone to Onizuka not even willing to look at him and comfort the guy, Onizuka had to be strong and strength does not come from being handled like a gem. “What! If I knew that I would have not come. You evil witch.” Onizuka covered his face with his hands, ‘peak a boo’ he had hoped that it will go back to normal once he reopens his eyes but what a shame the horrors remained. “So what if I am a witch? It is not like we getting married.”
“What does that have to do with anything?” The phantom father interrupted Onizuka’s ranting with a giggle, they turned to look at him. “Calm down you little rascals, it is our turn now.” Onizuka smiled back at the old man who was making his way towards the board and cards. When got there he got the same experience as Onizuka but since his soul was possessed he was able to overcome it quickly.
“Well, well let us see what we have here.” He drew a card and smirked, he put it down and started waving around gestures. An airplane appeared from behind him and his daughter guessed correctly on the first try.
“You stupid piece of trash.” He yelled at her almost attacking, his hand though was met by a flying sauce pan from Sakura. “You are playing to win aren’t you?” Black intentionally said that to taunt him, he knew that this game was made to weaken their souls and prepare them for consumption. The whole point behind guessing the cards wrong is to attack one’s very soul, the added bonus of winning the game was to allow the winner to choose the fate of the looser. Black was going to use this to have his crippling attacked directly and have at least one of them destroyed. He was also planning to free the souls of the unfortunate family.

“Okay, it is your turn to pick up the card and perform for your friend.” The father said as he stared at Sakura with transforming eyes, determined he was to get Sakura’s soul. ‘She has a very strong spiritual pressure,’ he thought as Sakura stood up and went to the front.
Sakura had Anzy with her so she did not reach out to get the card instead he let Anzy do it for him. The perverted crippling spirit grabbed the card and mourned at the pleasure she received from the cards attacking her spiritual force. She flipped the card over to let Sakura see and the phantom father freaked out. “You’re cheating! All of us here had to withstand the punishment from this dark game, how can you do that?” He jumped and tried to attack Sakura but was stopped by Norabu and the others. Black tilted his face and gave an evil gaze to the corrupted ghost, “the lords of the game are not complaining are they?” He said taunting the old man to attack him and continue injuring his crippling he was counting on that.
As he had wanted the old man grew restless and attacked him again this time using and actual energy beam. One of Black’s minor crippling was sacrificed for the safety of the host, after all without Black they are as good as dead as they are not strong enough to survive by themselves yet. “You growing dumber by the minute corrupted one. Was your plan not to make us believe that we are back in the past to destroy both mind and soul? Patience must be becoming a rare skill these days.”
“Talk, talk all you want. I do not know how you escaped my charm but the others are still enchanted. I grow stronger by the passing wind.” Black looked around and Yua along with Onizuka looked as if everything was normal, Black decided to drop act out what was on his card to enact phase two of his plan.
A huge train manifested itself from the cards and Onizuka got it wrong on the first try, ‘’Sakura intentionally guessed wrong even though she clearly saw what the object was. The old man also got mad at Yua for getting the answer correct, there must be a special reason for it. I will help Sakura win this.’ He silently thought to himself as he geared up to take a second guess, “Train,” he got it correct.
Saito Yua stood up and joyously made her way up front, just like Onizuka she was clueless as to what was going on. She levitated her hand over the cards and before she reached out, “You are wounded. Did your father beat you again?” Black said as the enchantment struggled to stay on him, the clashing auras made it look as if he was the villain. “Huh.. I do not know what you are talking about.” Yua said nervously with a crack in her voice. “What kind of nonsense are spouting little one?”
“Yua, the truth is you and your family are dead. My guess is you have been waking up and experiencing the same day waiting for us to come and celebrate your birthday. We never did and you died that day.” Yua cried and thought about she is actually hurt but about the fact that they are dead she did not want to believe it was impossible. “What do you mean? Do you not want to be Yua’s friends anymore? Do you want to leave Yua alone too?”
A dark aura wrapped itself around Yua dropping the temperature of the house instantly. “Calm down Yua, Sakura is being hysterical we are still your friends to the death.” Onizuka jumped off his seat wanting desperately to calm down Yua, although he came with Sakura he was still in the dark as to what the fuck was happening. “Death. Huh? How dare you make the same disturbing joke for the second time?” Yua folded her tiny hands into fists and shed a tear, she whole heartedly believed that she was still alive and her friends were still fighting against her.
Onizuka fell back on to the sofa with guilt, not knowing how to calm Yua down. The father tried desperately to calm Yua down, if she were to accept her death it will all be over for him. “Yua my darling, you should have chosen your friends carefully. Look at these little monsters, seeking your death such a pity. Come on now darling play along with daddy and Onizuka, Sakura is a bit under the weather.” He said this gesturing at the young girl to play, but she did not want to look at him. Throughout the whole week (in her time/ knowledge) Sakura had been desperately trying to help her with the abuse and even claimed that there was a dark shadow following her. Why would the same person who was persistently trying to help, claim that she is a dead person out of the blue?
Yua let go of the card and collapsed to the ground crying, by doing so she subconsciously gave up the game and her and her family’s souls were separated from the corrupted spirits. It was time to uncover the truth behind the corrupted ones and also bid farewell to an old friend. The final first of many battles to come begins.
