As expected, nothing comes without losses. Wandering in the abyss for eternity and losing all signs of intelligence... But isn't it too harsh! Dante sighed inwardly as he reconsidered his thoughts about becoming a Nodesmith.
"If I have to leave this world, I would really need to become a Nodesmith. But it's very dangerous." Dante thought for a while before asking,
"Old man, what changes occur when someone becomes a Nodesmith? Can you at least give me an overview?"
There was a small silence before he said, "Nodesmith is a person who has completely overcome his human boundaries and can do things ranging from miracles to world-ending disasters. There are large pathways a Nodesmith can choose, also called the specialty of a Nodesmith. You will not understand it even if I explain, so leave it for now."
"Of course, I am talking about higher Ranks when I say about disasters and miracles. A Nodesmith has 9 major stages or Ranks. Rank 1-3 is someone who you can find in prominent capitals and kingdoms. They are people who are soldiers of a kingdom, low-rank Nodesmiths."
"Rank 4-6 are some prominent figures that occupy the positions of Generals or Ministers. They are extremely powerful, as in this stage, there is a qualitative increase in strength."
"Rank 7 and 8... is a stage where someone achieves immense power and is capable of destroying countries, kingdoms with ease. They are powerhouses of the world, leaders of a kingdom, clan, or high-level organizations."
"...Rank 9 is the rank of deities. All the deities are at this stage rank. Those fallen deities are either Rank 8 or Quasi-Rank 9."
"Also, it's extremely difficult to defeat someone of a higher Rank unless you do a highly effective sneak attack or prepare beforehand."
"Brat, you, as of now, are very weak and have no way of activating Aetherius Scribe or maintaining my consciousness. So I would rest in your body while cutting off all contacts with you. Ask me a single question, then I would imprint you something, and then I would go to sleep."
One question... It should be of something that greatly enhances my chances of survival. What should I ask about? Geography of the world? Or more information about Nodesmiths?... Old grandpa would 'power off' after this, so I need to rely on myself to survive. Dante lampooned inwardly at his thoughts that the old grandpa would be alongside guiding him to greatness.
After a few moments, Dante finally decided on the question that greatly enhanced his survival.
"Please tell me about the world geography, along with detailed information on the area and continent we are currently in."
"Brat, how did you not know where you are? Did you hit your head and become brain-dead?"
"Haha." Dante laughed nervously as he said, "You can say that." He said without any anger. I woke up with a headache, so yeah, he is kinda correct.

"Hmph. Since this is your question, then listen." The old man scoffed as he continued, "This is our world—Celestia. After the 'Cataclysmic Epoch,' several continents came into existence, and the older ones were all destroyed. There are currently 6 Continents in our World—The Umbra Dominion, Elldoria, Pandorium, Titanica, Celestria, and Veridonia."
"We are currently on the south of Elldoria Continent near the Kingdom of 'Solarionis.' The 'Ruin of Zastrax' is in the south of the Kingdom where you are currently residing. These ruins are of the kingdom of a Fallen Deity."
"The Kingdom of Solarionis is a high-level kingdom that is involved in trade with other kingdoms like Sylvania, Aquiloria, Verdantia, and Pyrona. This Kingdom is perfect for a mortal like you to go."
"If you want to go there, just head the opposite side of the sun, and you will reach there."
"The Ruins of Zastrax is a dangerous area. It's a place where many Beasts and magical creatures roam in the nighttime. Those people with dismembered corpses must have suffered an attack by them."
"Remember, never roam outside the Ruins when it's nighttime unless you are a Nodesmith." He concluded his answer with a warning.
So, I was right about the creatures part. The Kingdom of Solarionis... This is a safe place for me. I can head there and maybe rise in power after becoming a Neophyte and work there normally.
His voice rang in the air again, "Before I imprint you with 'that,' follow my Warning that I am going to give you if you really want to survive. Since the diary chose you, you are now my master. Even though you are just a mortal. I don't want you dying before I wake up."
"First thing is—Become a Neophyte by consuming the Node Nectar. Be fully confident and don't be nervous; this will increase the chances of survival when you advance."
"Second thing—When traveling to the Kingdom of Solarionis, avoid fighting with full power. Only attack some small creatures, that too to test your power and familiarize yourself with it. Exchange their body for some money in the Kingdom."
"The third thing is when you reach Solarionis, earn some money and enroll yourself in some kind of Academy. They will be able to guide you in becoming a Nodesmith till I wake up."
"Fourth—Never pick a fight without any reason and fall back immediately if you see someone stronger attacking you."
"Last one. Don't talk about deities in the real world. Some of them are extremely powerful and can even know who is talking about them if someone mentions their name. Be extremely careful and don't try to pry on forbidden things."
I don't know if he is really telling the truth as I have no means of confirming it, but what he says really makes sense. I should not completely believe him until I consume the Node Nectar and reach the Solarionis kingdom. What if he is lying about the Node Nectar?... But what would he gain by lying to me? If I don't consume the Node Nectar, then I would be killed by the creatures outside, and if the old man is lying, then I would die from consuming the Nectar. What should I choose to do? Take a chance and drink the Nectar or just take it alongside me to the Kingdom of Solarionis? Dante's mind raced to his limits as he started to think about what should be done. Suddenly, the voice of the old man interrupts my thoughts.
"Check your palm. I have successfully imprinted you with the technique."
I suddenly raise both hands as my eyes gazed towards my palm. There was an inscription of a moon in my right hand and sun in my right hand. They were completely blood red with a light golden color outline.
"This is the 'Harmony of Sun and Moon' Technique. When you become a Neophyte, they will help you stabilize your Vitralis Essence and control it fluently and also help you in prophecy and divination. When you want to do a divination, feel yourself become one with the Moon in your right hand and when you want to decrypt a prophecy or
want to make a prophecy, then you can feel yourself become one with the Sun."
"You would be able to do prophecy only after you become a Nodesmith, so forget about it for now. Just focus on the Divination and the stabilization of Vitralis Essence part of the Technique. You will be able to use the technique when you become a Neophyte."
"I have helped you enough. You are now on your own to survive. I would wake up when you become a Rank 4 Nodesmith... Good night." And the voice of the old man gradually declined as there was complete silence in my mind.
