As per my usual, I sat on a wooden bench gazing upon the stories decorating the gorgeous windows. A man was kneeling on the ground praying to god with wolves surrounding him. God satisfied by his faith sent him the helping hand of a dozen angels who fought off the wolves. To me it seemed kinda overkill to send angels against wolves, yet, I guess whenever God does anything it’s overkill.
I imagined being a god with unlimited power myself, shaping the universe with my own hands and creating life just for fun. Then something that I didn’t expect happened.
In front of me appeared 4 shining blue text-boxes, my first thought was “oh boy, here we go, years of web novels have either turned me crazy or prepared me for this.”
I immediately read the first one:

Ok, classic plot setting, check, god helping humans through boxes and blessings, check, overpowered choices for me, the mc, let’s see…

“Fate of the Desire: Your desire for divine power has been acknowledged above all other mundane desires. choose this fate to receive [sparkle of divinity].”
“Fate of the Human: Your species have been found to have unlimited potential, choose this fate to remove all limits to your growth. Warning: choosing this fate will give you no starting bonuses or abilities.”
Definitely check for overpowered abilities.
“Now what should I choose?” I pondered.
First of all, I thought about the stories my dad told me about us being descendant of Saint Giorgio. for years I thought he was pulling my leg, but I guess the sparkly box knows better. this definitely seems like a battle oriented choice.
Then the second one seems like the most overpowered one, I have no idea what a spark of divinity is but it’s definitely something powerful.
And the last one… Sure, no limits seem cool, but still, I would just be a human fighting against god knows what….
Choices, so many choices….
