Hmph. The thought of getting rid of her was becoming more and more tempting the more she talked. But I have to control myself!
-We will see who will show mercy to whom.
Anaga instantly attacked and this time she didn't use the blunt side of her blade. Me? I did nothing. I wanted to see it when she realizes the difference between the two of us.
Anaga's POV:
I thrust with all my might at the one who murdered my little niece. I saw earlier that my feelings of helplessness against his might and his 'invincible' status was actually all in my head and the truth was much different. I hurt him! And very easily, too.
-Prepare to die, murderer! - I shouted loudly and let my weapon fall on his shoulder.
...and stop. Right atop his black, elegant clothes from when he was in princess Sabrina's birthday party, that didn't even have a small tear in them.
...
What's going on? Just a moment ago he screamed out in pain from my light blows and now... I look into his dark purple eyes. They stare back at me, cold and unmoving. I hurry to jump back from him while letting my blade fall alongside his torso, in an attempt to find a weakness but there is none. I only ruffled his clothes a bit and that's it. Are they enchanted? They must be. I change my stance and suddenly swing at his unprotected by cloth neck, which dents under the force of my attack... by a few millimeters, without puncturing the skin at all.
I stare amazed at the huge difference from before. Why doesn't it work anymore? What's going on? I jump back again, this time further than before, while I reinforce my muscles with mana. The action takes a little time and I tensely look at the man before me, ready to stop my action and dodge at any moment. Unnecessarily as it seems, since he doesn't move at all. Just keeps looking at me calmly as if simply interested in my next action and completely unconcerned about it.
...
...
After 10 minutes of pointlessly attacking what seemed to be a brick wall that would not move whatever I do, I got exhausted. I was trying so hard to exact my revenge but the reality... the reality showed me that can never happen after all. This time my opponent's defenses turned out to be so strong that even a tornado would probably do nothing to him. It seems like this mean guy purposely let me hit him previously, just to secretly laugh inside at my later attempts to repeat my success.
...there was one last thing I could use but now that I know about Alexander's plan to humiliate me, if it didn't work - and I was pretty sure it wouldn't - he would be even more smug than he is now. Wait! Was that it? He thought that I was too full of myself after I managed to make him feel pain and this is his revenge?! This is... This is... something I deserved, I suppose. I did think I could kill him for a moment there... He must've felt like a tiger that was being shouted at by an ant... And that little insect was me. Haaaah...
Stolen story; please report.
I think I've learned my lesson now. But still... I have to do something, anything to make him pay for what he did. Somehow... Perhaps I need to distract him first? Make him lose control over his magic? I grinned maniacally, completely different from my stony face earlier. Let me try this one thing as my last hope!
I start running towards the magician and spread my arms wide, still not letting go of my sword. I almost get to him when I start to hear a low buzzing sound, one that is well known by those who have dealt with skillful mages for a period of time - the noises of a teleportation ritual in use! Someone's coming here! Will I make it in time?
A different version of Alexander Thorn'rose's POV:
I finally managed to leave the mansion. Man, that was terrifying! I swore to never forget about such an important thing again... ever. For the consequences of it would be too dire...
The otherworldly disturbance I felt earlier signifies one thing - someone came here from a different world! A mind that shouldn't be here has appeared and should he/she do things against the 'rules' of this world, that person - along with this whole planet and me as well - could get destroyed.
I promptly will the magic to shape itself into a spacial teleportation charm and I quickly charge inside the blurry disturbance that appears right before me in the air, one that is directly connected with the disturbance I felt. When I emerge on the other side I don't have any time to do anything - for I see a woman I know running straight towards me and gets to me in less than a second, leaving me with no time to react. All I manage to do is open my mouth - which was the worst thing I could have done at that moment... Anaga, the one who started to loathe me for accidentally killing her young niece not too long ago, threw herself at me, strongly hugging my neck with both of her arms and... french-kissed me with all her might! My mind went completely blank - for the first time in my life I stopped thinking, no - I couldn't think about anything. Soft mouth and a warm... 'tentacle' that attacked the inside of my mouth were electrifying and made me breathless. At the same time, I felt something hard press strongly against my -slightly weakened by my lack of attention - defensive spells at my back, near my spine. One push, then another one, I felt something metallic pressing against the protective enchantments on my clothes and the inner defensive ones that are situated underneath my skin.
Eh? Could this be a trap? A very unique, super dangerous assassination attempt? Was this planned by that foreign entity that came here a few minutes ago?!
...but why is it so pleasant? Even the force on my back felt like a massage to me... Aaaah... So nice... More... Lower... Yes. On the right... Ooooooh... That's it!
This was an unforeseen but certainly enjoyable experience... Let it last forever...
A moment later I woke up from my delusions and promptly separated myself from the woman. How daring to suddenly rush at me and... And...
-Ah! My first kiss was taken...
Oops! I said that out loud, didn't I? I definitely did. Not good. Nobody should know about it!
