Interlude
[Announcer One]That was John Johnson with the traffic. Thanks, John!
[Announcer Two]It’s shaping up to be another hot summer, and the effects are being felt around the world. Scientists are pointing to global climate change as the reason for the increase in strange animal sightings. We’ve all seen the videos of the feral boars running through the New York subways and the recent explosion of red pandas throughout Southeast Asia.
[Video clips of strange animal sightings around the world.]
[Announcer One]Those things are amazingly cute, but animal experts warn they are highly aggressive and dangerous. Don’t forget that a man was severely injured trying to smuggle one of those animals on an airplane under his coat.
[Video clip of a heavily injured man being carried out of an airplane ramp on a stretcher.]

[Announcer Two]That poor man. Remember, if you see any strange animal activity, contact animal control as soon as possible. Whatever you do, do not try to capture, or engage with strange wild animals.

[Announcer Two]We have even seen a local increase in strange animal activity. Yesterday, the unincorporated town of Pinos Altos, North of Silver City reported a literal plague of toads!
[Announcer One]Like from the Bible?
[Announcer Two]Exactly! Hundreds of giant toads were reported to have flooded through the town, doing minor damage to several buildings and giving the residents and livestock quite a scare.
[Announcer One]Health and Wildlife officials are on the scene and report that there is no danger, but again caution all residents to avoid any wild animal activity and report any sightings as quickly as possible.
[Announcer Two]It’s going to be an interesting summer, that’s for sure. Speaking of the summer, El Niño is expected to be bringing back record temperatures this summer. We have a report from Tina Gonzalez on how to beat the heat this year. Tina?
