CH 4: loot get

Looking down at the now empty .22 pistol, then looking up at the door trying to cosplay as swiss cheese, mal sighed. loud noises attract those jumpy freaks, so now mal needed to find a new base of operations. luckily enough, Mal had one in mind; the "company warehouse".

And thus, mal packed their belongings and started out the door, but not before stopping to loot the man whose name they still didn't remember. Mal began their looting by removing the holster from the man, putting it on and stowing the magnum in it. Then after rifling through the dead man's coat for spare cartridges and finding 11 loose .44 magnum rounds, Mal took some time to inspect the revolver.

It was a really high quality double action six shooter with a stained wooden grip and engravings along the barrel and cylinder. It was actually quite impressive how good the quality of this artifact was despite its age. upon studying the engravings of the revolver which depicted a python coiling around the cylinder and quite literally snaking along the barrel of gun, but there was something else too, above the trigger and below the cylinder was the name Darlene engraved in cursive. Mal let out a "huh neat" before holstering Darlene, and going on their merry way.

With setting up their new home done, mal began to mull over their weird dream. or was it even a dream. They went other the basics, there is some sort of bad guys united group out there, their leader is named Dave, they have to do with the happening, and most importantly:

If They want to continue to walk the path, they need to be "more creative" and "funny" with their travesties, which was the first time Mal had ever been told that instead of the opposite.

The point of this being if Mal didn't want to die over and over again for eternity, they had to do something unexpected but bad nonetheless. And with that, Mal got to planning. A few hours of bad ideas passed by when mal suddenly had an idea and began preparing with fanatical devotion to the plan.

Mike pov

Mike clutched his crossbow close to his chest, he had been sent by the settlement as the leader of a kill team to investigate the gunshots and eliminate any virals attracted to it. the settlement feared that the noise had attracted the virals too close for comfort to the settlement. Mike agreed with this, the news of the overrun settlement fresh in his head. It had to be done, but it didn't make it any less dangerous. Approaching a empty security booth, mike held out his hand to stop the rest of the team.

A group of five leapfroggers were hunched around something making soft growling noises. Mike readied his crossbow at one of them and directed his other team members to target the others. on a count of three, silent twangs alerted the leapfroggers of the bolt which subsequently hit their heads, killing them instantly. After reloading and clearing the area, Mike radioed to his settlement.

"mike to dispatch, we have killed the infected in the area, but there was something that they were looking at prior. over"

the radio immediately respond "dispatch to mike, investigate the unknown object and report back. over"

Worried that this might be another bomb, Mike instructed his team to stay back as he investigated the source of the virals' attention. despite his burning hate of approaching unknown objects, mike powered through because orders were orders. Mike's face scrunched up at the thought of this, before suddenly dropping to a frown as he reported his findings.

"mike to dispatch, yeah we have a body, and unless those zombies know how to use a gun, it's a murder. over."
