Determination and Action

Sitting cross-legged in the middle of the magic circle, Dimas closed his eyes and began to recite the ritual spell.

Six worlds have given birth to six billion races, but only one individual stands at the pinnacle of all life.

Suddenly, the sky darkened, and thunder roared as purple lightning struck the ground. The world shook, and everyone held their breath, eager to see what kind of creature would appear next.

I, Dimas Pratama, a human, hereby invite those who are interested to become my contracted partner and reach the pinnacle together!

After reciting the spell, the sky was seen fractured in four different places which revealed the appearance of four different creatures.

In the north, a humanoid creature appeared. Its eyes were red and had a sharp gaze, its white hair looked beautiful and charming as the wind blew it. Its body and head were covered by golden armor and helmet and the most eye-catching thing about the creature was its two long ears like a rabbit.

In the south, a human-like creature also showed itself. Its face was beautiful and wild at the same time, like a fusion between angel and demon, and it had tanned skin that looked exotic. Its ears were long like an elf but its body was muscular like a barbarian tribe. The creature had four arms, two wings, and a tail. Its smiling lips showed an arrangement of sharp teeth.

In the west, another creature that appeared also had human characteristics. Its body was so tempting to the desires of men with its heart-shaking curves. Its head was horned and its body was covered in armor that showed the sexiest part of its body. Its pupils had a heart pattern and its smile was looking down on everyone who was looking at it with lust. This creature also had a pair of wings and a tail on the back of its body.

In the east, the creature that showed itself was a six-winged humanoid figure. Its face was very beautiful and even though its body was covered by silver armor, no one could deny how elegant the creature was. Its pupils and long hair were golden in color, and in both hands, the creature held a spear and a shield.

The four creatures looked at each other and a smile appeared on their lips. When everyone thought that they would attack each other to fight for the position of Dimas’ partner, the opposite happened.

The four of them didn’t even look at Dimas before deciding to go back into their respective dimension holes and disappear as if they never existed. The previously dark sky also slowly brightened and the ritual ended just like that.

Of all the people who were shocked by the development of the situation, the most disappointed was the main character, Dimas Pratama. He felt toyed and given false hope for their appearance.

In the end, they just showed up, surprised everyone, and disappeared. The worst thing was that none of them even looked at him, let alone made a contract with him.

Is this what people called anti-climax?

What about my legend as a transmigrator?

Why did my fellow transmigrators have a perfect ending while I ended up getting a bad ending?

This world is suck!

Realizing what was happening by seeing the expression on Dimas’ face, one of the higher-ups from adventurer’s guild immediately approached him and said, “I know you must be disappointed and surprised, but humans cannot fight fate. Even though you can’t become an adventurer because you failed to get a partner, at least as a form of appreciation you can work in the adventurer guild administration section.”

Without waiting for a response, that person immediately walked over to Han Sulong, Jun Tae Jin, and Kazehaya Yukio to congratulate them and invite them to become adventurers.

Remembering the painful memories of 1 year ago, Dimas sighed and, at the same time, muttered, “I can’t be like this any longer.”

Suddenly, from behind him, a girl’s voice was heard, “You can’t be like what?”

Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.

“Whoa!”

Dimas immediately turned his body and saw the figure of a girl who had just surprised him.

“You surprised me, Anne. Besides, shouldn’t you be registering the new adventurers, what are you doing standing behind me?”

Narrowing her eyes, the half-human, half-elf girl replied, “I’m done with it. Besides, you’re trying to change the subject.”

“It’s nothing, I just expressed my annoyance and envy to the figures you call legendary adventurers. Just because I failed to get a partner, they distanced themselves from me and considered me as trash. A disgrace to a transmigrator, fuck them!”

Seeing Dimas sticking up his middle fingers at the legendary adventurers on the guild monitor screen, Anne made a short comment and chose to leave.

On the other hand, when Anne was approached by another guild girl who asked her about something, Anne nodded and replied, “As usual, he’s just expressing his annoyance. I heard that he used to be a friend of the legendary adventurers, so I guess it’s natural for him to be jealous when his friends managed to achieve success.”

Whether they realized it or not, Dimas heard the conversation. If it weren’t for professionalism and maintaining harmony at work. This young man would have exploded in anger.

That day after his working hours were over, Dimas immediately walked towards a blacksmith shop with a serious expression. He did not forget to check his latest personal information and personal attributes.

Even though in the eyes of his guildmates he was nothing more than a loser who always mocked and sneered at every success that Han Sulong and the others managed to achieve, his spirit never waned.

During his 1 year working in the guild, he did not only do things in vain, besides collecting various important information from adventurers, Dimas also secretly trained his physique and fighting skills.

Having lived for 1 year in this world, Dimas has more or less learned about how the world’s system works.

This world has a level system like a video game. According to the history books that Dimas read in the library and the guild archives, this was the work of the Almighty being in the past, although it was not explained in detail.

The way this level system works is quite simple. Everyone can increase the attribute points from what they do every day. However, to level up they must kill monsters or humans. Of course, the amount of experience gained for a level up depends on the quality and quantity of creatures killed. For each level up, individuals will gain a much larger increase in attribute points compared to doing certain activities every day.

It can be concluded that this level system seems to want each individual to kill each other to become stronger. A system that triggers a person’s desire and Dimas can feel how dangerous this level system is.

Of course, to prevent bloodshed and ensure that the wheels of social life continue to run normally, high-ranking officials such as kings, queens, and others have created a strict rule that only allows someone to kills monsters and criminals. If someone kills an innocent human being, that person will be hunted and killed by authorities.

Closing his status menu, Dimas was quite satisfied because when compared to when he first arrived in this world, the attribute points he had were much better even though they could not match the attribute points of those who had made a partner contract.

Dimas still remembered when Kazehaya Yukio showed every attribute point he had when he was still level 1. At least the lowest attribute point that Yukio had at that time was 300 points, while the highest attribute point that Dimas had at that time was his intelligence which was 50 points.

Taking a deep breath, Dimas was now standing in front of the blacksmith shop. After making sure that no guild members were following him, Dimas entered the shop and was greeted by a red-bearded dwarf.

“Uncle Grock, have you prepared my order?”

Noticing the seriousness of Dimas’ expression, Grock immediately tell Dimas to follow him into a room.

Inside the room, there were weapons and armor that Dimas had ordered several weeks ago.

On his right, a black full-body armor with a dragon motif looks very intimidating while on his left is a large sword that is the same height as Dimas in a neatly displayed position.

“As per your order, the armor is made from iron dragon bone and the sword is crafted from iron dragon fangs. To lift and swing the sword, you will need a minimum of 200 strength attribute points. Additionally, to use the armor, you will require at least 300 endurance attribute points. Besides that, to use the sword optimally, you must have at least 200 dexterity attribute points, and to move freely while wearing the armor, you must have at least 150 agility attribute points.”

Seeing Dimas seriously starting to put on the armor and sword that he had forged with all his abilities, Grock, who knew about Dimas’ past and what he would do next, couldn’t help but ask, “Are you serious about exploring the dungeon? Don’t you know that it’s against the law considering that you don’t have a contracted partner?”

Standing with a completely changed appearance, Dimas replied, “I once told you how boring my life was in my old world. If fate brought me here only to live a boring life for the second time, then I would rather die in a dungeon where I can see new things than live in torment seeing other people’s successes. I never thought of myself as special, I just wanted to live a life that I thought was special.”
