The trio's different attires covered most of their features. The Essence around the area seemed exceptionally agitated when they arrived, far from when it was just Ju's group and the foxes.
Every one of them was an Essence artist!
If Ju were to observe them, especially the one who stood in the middle, he would have been soaked in cold sweat.
This person would have an aura far stronger than the Old Kai's!
"It seems like they were here for a while and had gotten someone new; there is a different residual aura." One of the figures spoke sharply.
"But it is certain he is the one we are looking for. Should we go after him?" The shortest of the three offered.
"No, not yet. I want to observe further, plus that beast is still a bit agitated; it is best we leave it for now." The person who seemed to be the trio's leader waved his hand. The other two figures didn't say anything else.
Soon after, they all vanished, and the area returned to being as it was.
Ju slowly knocked on a room's door in the same rhythmic manner he used back then at the cave.
After a moment, the teenager entered.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
MoonFlower was waiting on the bed crossed-legged with calm eyes; Ju had been gone for half a day.
She assumed he probably went to hunt as usual; he had a bloody aura around him. However, she could feel some other presence mixed within.
"He had moved with some other people for a long time." She thought to herself.
The girl didn't know what to do with the information or how she could even know that sort of thing, but it was uncomfortable nonetheless.
Ju observed Moonflower for a few seconds.
"I went to the outskirts of the forest today, and I followed some people. We were able to score several resources. I would go back to collect the reward. I also have plans to go to the library." Ju briefly said.
He usually did this, explaining himself and his activities even though it didn't really matter. Ju felt that sort of communication between them was necessary.
MoonFlower said nothing, only nodding lightly.
"I will be heading to the library now. I plan on reading a bit." Ju spoke again.
"I don't want to be alone." the little girl finally spoke out with a pleading look.
Ju's eyes grew soft for a moment.
"Most of the time, she stays alone even though it is for her safety. MoonFlower is still a child. Despite everything, she wants to see the world to some extent."
However, Ju felt he was not strong enough to protect her from danger.
"The library might have powerful Essence users. But the group I met today invited me to a small restaurant just a small distance from here. We could go together." Ju pondered a bit and offered.
When she heard this, the little girl let out a bright smile.
Ju rubbed her head and proceeded to feed her some sweets.
Moments later, Ju had an oversized grey coat on as he left the inn.
