Author's corner: I'll try an experimental writing style today.I am not too sure how it'll turn out, and if you readers will approve of it, though!Maybe it'll turn even better than my current one, especially since Nysa won't be always in the company of sentient, right? So please enjoy this chapter, brought to you by...myself! =D
EDIT: Funny story...this chapter was published one hour ago, by an accident, namely me pressing the button 'post' instead of 'preview'.a grand total of 7 F5 ninjas saw my mistake, even though I deleted it 3 minutes later.

Nysa's POV
After reviewing each of the four races, I couldn't help but reach a conclusion. The fae, with the size-shifting ability, would be the best out of all options, since all other races had a crippling weakness that made them unfit for adventuring.Nagas aren't the fastest creatures, along with big size, they are bad in-door fighters.Arachnae suffers from a similar issue, as they are specialized ambush predators.Slimes meanwhile, can either work really good, or really bad...but then, guaranteed critical hits is a massive disadvantage against strong monsters and players.
"I think I'll choose...fae" I said, sighing. It was a hard decision, since she wasn't sure if it was possible to change race later on...but at the same time, she couldn't help but drool a little at the prospect of size-shifting.She could be too small for the ranged opponents to hit, but when against melee ones, she could easily grow big enough to outmatch them!
Are you sure you want to choose the 'Fae' race? YesNo
The window popped up, asking for a confirmation, after all it would be bad if she accidentally picked a race she didn't want. "Yes, I want to pick the Fae race." She said, pressing the 'yes' button in front of her.
Congratulations! You are now a fae!
As the window appeared, I felt...strange.Somehow everything was getting further and further from her. Even the god, which previously was of the same size as herself, looked rather distant. Not exactly like a mountain, but he stood almost as tall as her own house!"I'm...so small..."
"Yes, that was what the 'tiny body size' meant." Seth said, amusedly as he stepped closer."I bet I could squish you by accident if you're not careful."
I couldn't help but take a few steps back from the god.Now his presence was truly overbearing to say the least.I barely could reach his knees in height!Did...she pick the wrong race?It was something cruel, if the programmers let the players pick a race where even a single human looked like a giant in comparison to her!
The god just smirked ,still walking closer, and even lowering himself, mainly to look closer at me. "Don't worry about 'small' details such as that, and look at yourself." He said, simply snapping his fingers to make a mirror appear in front of me.
My body, and clothes, had changed quite a bit with the transformation: I now had a pair of transparent, bug-like wings, as big as my body, although they weren't big enough to touch the ground, thankfully. My shirt had changed into one that covered just her chest, exposing her belly, and at the same time, had a pair of holes for her wings to pop through. Her pants, on the other hand, changed into a black skirt...which only made me blush bright red, and afterwards I held the short skirt down."W-what is the big idea, god of teenage-hood?!I am a flying race, I can't have a skirt!" complained, only to make the god laugh at my reaction.
"What is so funny about it?!" I say...before looking over at the mirror again, not finding anything funny. "I request a change of clothes! Now!"
Seth laughed even more."Alright, alright." He said, and just as quickly as I shrunk, my clothes changed a bit, the skirt being replaced by short jeans.Just as exposing, but at the very least, there was no possibility for the same kind of humiliation...and as I kept thinking more about it, the god decided to interrupt my thoughts."Either way, I think the introduction is finished by now, unless you have more customizations you want to do."
"Wait...you're not teaching me how the combat system works? And the locations? And the game mechanics?" I blinked, her eyes opening wide in surprise.
"Haha, nope! I want people to figure these things on their own, besides there isn't any penalty for dying in the first level. Not even time-out.You players are too unfair..." The god mumbled this last bit, if it wasn't for my size, I wouldn't hear his words."Now, are you ready for entering the world of Apophis?" Seth would ask, with a smirk on his face.
"Yes!So what is the list of places I can start in?" I ask, with a wide smile."I mean, there should be some variety, even for Fae, right? At least a few safe jungles for me to start in.So what place you recommend?"
"Hmm...well, since you are a bit special, for chatting with me for so long, I'll give you an advantage! You can spawn wherever you want, as long as you play a game for it!" Seth declared, with a wide, happy grin.
"...What game?" It felt...just too good of an offer.I mean, what sort of game would a god challenge me to?I hope it is easy and short...
"I call it, freefall! Good luck!" Seth said."Now look below you."
...I look down. I see the continent, the volcano in the far east, the glaciers in the north, and other various places. I could feel the wind blowing against my body, it was quite refreshing!...wait...they're growing bigger. The land was growing bigger, and more detailed. Only a few more seconds, I realized.

"Save meeeeee!" I shouted, the G-force barely letting me speak. I was so high up, I was sure I would hit terminal velocity until I reach the ground!Everything was growing larger and larger, my only blessing is that I would land in a relatively safe place, like the forest, and not the volcano. But even then...my hope was disappearing, more and more, the closer I got to it.
And then I hit the ground, and everything turned black. Now time to wait for respawn...
...or not.I just fell through a few feet through the ground, nothing I couldn't climb out of."Seth! Next time I see you, I'll make you pay for such tricks!" I shouted towards the sky, shaking my fist towards it, not fearing the divine retribution.
"You called?" The familiar voice came, from right behind me...well...I'm screwed, but I'll not go down without an attempt to survive!
"Forgive me, please!" I shouted, hoping that I would not get smitten. Getting killed a few seconds into the world is not fun!
"Okay, I forgive you! Besides, I came here because I forgot to tell you something. You can access the menu now, just say that word and it'll pop up. Don't forget to activate the window pop-up in the options, before going to adventures! You even have some messages there unread!" Seth said, laughing carefreely as he disappeared.
....that explains how I survived. Now, the tutorial is over!It is only me and me alone and the monsters I slaughter, and maybe the people I find!
"Menu, activate!" I shouted, with a wide grin, excited....only to realize it did not work."...Menu." And only now the thing appeared.

"Options!" I said, quickly skimming through the options. There was truly nothing that she really cared about...except the one option that Ted told her to toggle. "Activate automatic window pop up!" As soon as she activated that option, two windows popped up.

I blinked. The Fae skill...it sounded good on paper, but now that I look at the drawbacks..."I was cheated." I said, talking to myself as I stared at the mana cost, coupled with the cooldown.Well, maybe it could get better as she practised, but right now, it was quite bad, maybe even horrible.
"Now before anything, time for the inventory." I say, as I opened it...only to notice the great amount of things I had.My jaw dropped as I looked at it.
It was just...a training sword, and some bread.Well, better than being barehanded! Now to equip my big great loot!
Beginner's sword Durability: 1000/1000Rarity : ☆☆☆☆☆ Type: SwordAttack: 1-1 A beginner's weapon, enchanted with a barrier to not break.Due to the barrier's properties, the weapon got the closest thing toindestructibility, although the barrier that protects it not only prevents the sword from being harmed, but also prevents the sword from harming others...making it the perfect training weapon.
"Well, that's what I get for choosing to start off as a wilder..." I say, Laughing, I began to crack my knuckles, getting ready for some exploring in the wild forests, and maybe slaughtering a few animals.Wolves and bears. Not bunnies, though. They are too cute to be slaughtered.
