CHAPTER #O1 : Changing Destiny
8:00 AM…. BEEP BEEP BEEP…. “hey jack wake up you sleepy head “
….huh…….mmmmm ……what time is it AAAHHHH!! damn it I overslept again …. “sis why didn’t you wake me up earlier… now im going to be late ” said jack yawning…
“I TRIED but you won’t budge …. HUH… lazy ass” said Sara with a pout and then she continued “You know it’s your big day right … so hurry up and get down”
“yea … yea coming ….” Replied jack in a wearied down voice.
Jack went down yawning and scratching his head to see a beauty first thing in the morning with blue eyes , brown hair, long slender leg making breakfast….. aaahhhh god thank you for this blessing … thought jack as he proceeded towards the dining table.
“so nervous hm” inquired Sara while looking intently at jack with her clear eyes.
“yea a little bit … you know it’s my first time doing actual space travelling“ said jack scratching his head and acting bashfully.
“be careful Alright…. you know what happened to mom and dad… I don’t want to lose you too ” said Sara gloomily…
Seeing his sister like this jack sighed…
“aah you don’t have to worry about me .. you know it’s just exploring the neighboring galaxy… it’s not as if we will be exploring new places and they have safety precautions and shields installed in a spaceship “said jack consolingly ... after seeing that his sisters mood got better he smirked
” so you don’t have to make that face… it doesn’t look good on you” said jack with a wink..
Sara seeing that her brother was winking at her threw a spoon at jack “aaaghh you bastard im going to beat you up” said Sara in protest … seeing that the spoon hit the target and jack crying in pain made a satisfying smile blossom on Sara’s face
After seeing his sister smile jack breathe a sigh of relief and thought… Aah thank god she’s smiling again….
Jack’s parents Andrew Thomson and Martha Andrew were one of the first people to space travel out of the milky-way galaxy … on one of their space expeditions they went and never come back jack was only 3 years old then… it was reported that they were unlucky and their ship went into a wormhole and got lost never to be found again..
Sara saw her brother lost in thought and said “alright stop staring at the wall and eat your breakfast.. so you won’t miss your appointment” ….
“ai ai captain hehehe..” replied jack jokingly
Seeing that jack was joking se gave him a glare which made the later to eat his breakfast.
After finishing his food jack went up to change … after a little while he came back with his bag in the hand and proceeded towards the shoe rack…
Sara seeing that her brother is about to get ready called “hey jack do you want me to pack your lunch”
“no I’m good ” replied jack while putting on his shoes… seeing that his jack was almost ready she looked thinking about something when she looked out the window
“oh right I forgot… Rebecca has been waiting for you outside for about half an hour” said Sara while smacking her forehead…..
“yea I know I got her text” replied jack helplessly while thinking how can you forget about such an important thing… aah that NERD is doing to kill me aah…
Rebecca Rosewood a heaven sent daughter of the rosewood family, she’s also the class NERD … she likes to wear big round glasses and A tie … while reminiscing that jack looked out the window to see Rebecca standing there with two massive bags beside her..
What are those bags for … storing dead bodies thought jack... then he saw her cold eyes aloof and uncaring … god those eyes are scary .. how can a person be so cold what a waste of a beautiful face thought jack.
“ALRIGHT got them shoes on” muttered jack then he walked towards the door “hey sis I’m going out now …. bye” said jack while waving his hand…
Sara had a worried look on her face as she stared at jacks leaving silhouette “ok bye … be careful out there… u know your sister worries about you right” she blurted unconsciously with a sad face….
Jack turned around to look at Sara …“c’mon cheer up its just a single year and you have your own classes it’ll be over in a flash… and then well be together and ill treat you with your favorite Sunday ice-cream ” said jack consolingly.
When Sara heard her brother she could feel the care and worry he felt for her “heheheh…alright alright Mr. Jack Robert you promised so be sure to come back” she said with a radiant smile….
Jack seeing Sara’s caring smile felt warmth in his heart … he thought Aaahhh I’m going to miss this smile…. Then jack reached his pocket and took out his camera “oh hey sis smile for me will ya …say cheese” pleaded jack .
Sara looking at her brother pleading look smiled” cheeseeee” KCHACK!! “ a nice one heh…. ” grinned jack as he started to go out when Rebecca’s annoyed voice was heard from the outside
“Hey are you coming out or not lazy ass … we are already 30 minutes late and you are making it worse” said Rebecca in an annoyed tone..
God I hate this voice…… interrupting my good moments with big sis… thought jack as he went out.
“yea …yea… I’m coming .., You don’t have to shout nerd ..” Said jack with a mocking tone….
“YOU!… Forget it just hurry up .. I don’t want my image to be ruined by an irresponsible monkey… ”Rebecca said with an ice cold face …
Jack after hearing couldn’t help but shiver”…brrrr … god you are so cold… live life a little will ya ” said jack looking at Rebecca’s back kept dragging her levitating bags along with her while ignoring jack.
“Put your energy in your legs not on your mouth… or else we will miss our flight ” Rebecca said annoyingly.
As both of them were walking on the pavement two girls stopped and looked at them with awe visible in their eyes.
“hey look…look aren’t those two form the Gloria Universe Academy” said girl1 in amazement….
Hearing this the other girl looked around only to stop when she spotted jack and Rebecca “where… where… oh my god they really are from Gloria UA.. … HOLY*!!… look…look they both have 2 blue stripes and a PILOT emblem ”said girl2 in awe…
Seeing the stripe and emblem on both jack and Rebecca made the 1st girl jaw drop in shock “oh my god I can’t believe that I’m seeing two 2 blue stripes Gloria pilots… hurry…hurry take a picture I have to post this…”said girl1 excitedly “
Seeing what her friend was doing the other girl also took out her phone ”yea… yea me to….” Said girl2…. KCHAK!! KCHAK!!.... Seeing this made jacks scalp numb until so he hurriedly made his way until they were out of his sight….
“Uggh… this is frustrating” said jack annoyingly …
Seeing jacks annoyed face Rebecca couldn’t help it “what are you getting annoyed for… this is who we are” said Rebecca in an ice cold tone.
Hearing Rebecca jack dejectedly nodded his head “yea you’re right… ” said jack with a sigh.
As jack walked he looked at a tv screen to see a reporter telling about new technological developments, he couldn’t help but think about the lecture they were given in their freshman year.
As he remembered the professor said “In 2050 a major breakthrough happened in the field of energy production. Engines powered by hydrogen reactions were produced . which in turn led to changes in every aspect of human life.
The world started to change, advance and develop in much faster speed then ever in the history of mankind. We call it the TRANSITION. Then after 20 years in 2070 came the era of space travelling when mankinds first spaceship called GALACTICA77. Travelled out of the milky way galaxy into the outer universe . that was the year which marked the start of the era of space travelling.
Now in 3005 earth has been united under the banner of United Gloria Republic . various institutions
Have been built for the sole purpose of educating and preparing its students for space travelling/exploring. The most elite of these institutions is called Gloria Universe Academy
An academy which recruits only the elite of the elite from all the various institutions from over the globe. In the academy a student has 6 grades based on color of their stripes i.e. yellow, bronze, silver, gold, blue and platinum. Each grade is divided into 3 sub grades beginner , intermediate and master depending upon the number of stripes .
Yellow- new recruits.
Bronze-2nd year (learners).
Silver-3rd year (practical trainees).
Gold-4th year(high tech machine trainees).
Blue-5th year(field trainees).
Platinum- 6th year (graduates).
Jack couldn’t help but sigh as he thought about himself 21years old and a blue 2 stripes and a field trainee and this year is my first field exploring mission.
“hey what are you spacing out for Mr. jack… c’mon we have to board the plane.. ” Rebecca said in an ice-cold tone……
“huh… ya .. aa… nothing…. Just reminiscing about old days… hah how time flashes by..” said jack with a sigh..
“less sighing and more moving… there are people behind us in the line … c’mon hurry up.. ” Rebecca said annoyingly..
“yea.. yea alright Mrs. perfectionist…” I said while shrugging my shoulders ….
We boarded the plane. After that the plane levitated of the ground and then with a FOOSHH… it went up in the sky.
“TAXI! ” Jack shouted …
A levitating taxi stopped in front of Jack and Rebecca .
“Hey boss we want to go to Gloria Universe Academy campus” said jack to the driver.
“yea no problem no problem sir. Its only 50 green crystals” said the driver with an accent.
“yea ok …. Just help me with the bags …. These are heavy as hell…” said jack with a pained expression while eyeing Rebecca who tilted her head the other way in response.
Hell what’s in these bags jack wondered.
Hearing the driver nodded “yes sir absolutely” the driver said respectfully. Then he went to the bags and placed them one by one in the back of the cab.
The taxi stopped at the campus gate levitating. Jack came out the left door on the side of the campus followed by Rebecca.
“thanks…..here you go boss ” jack gave the money to the driver … “its my pleasure sir” replied the driver while accepting the money
Then came the sound of engine starting and the levitating taxi speeded off.
Jack walked off the pavement to stand in front of the huge gate “pheewww … this gate always makes me feel so intimidated.” Said jack in awe.
Hearing this Sara felt proudness welling up in her chest “Amazing right … its said that the whole gate is made up of a special alloy which is found in another galaxy…” said Rebecca proudly.
Man the only time she shows an expression is when she talks about the Academy thought jack on the side.
As both jack and Rebecca were talking a group of people made their way towards them.
“Well…well guys look who is here …… if it isn’t our class NERD and the stupid monkey” said Simon in disdain… with his group of lackeys following behind him..
Hahahahaha… they all laughed mockingly “yea… yea young master the NERD is good but this dead brain might as well take our ship in to a worm hole like his dead parents…”said lackey1 disdainfully…
Hearing them talk about his parents made jack clutch his fists tightly… damn these bastards if not for their backgrounds I would have beaten every single one of them black and blue … thought jack while anger boiled up in his heart. Then he glanced at Simon and thought
Simon Broudretich a blonde arrogant prick, with big nose and small eyes. He’s from the Broudretich noble family. His father is the marquis of the capital of Gloria. His lackeys are also from middle and minor noble families.
Simon looked at jack who was glaring at him and smirked “hey jack why don’t you give your sister to me I might take better care of her than you” said Simon while smacking his lips.
This bastard he shouldn’t have said that …thought jack as he felt intense hatred brewing up in him, so jack took a step forward and caught Simon from his neck and said
“BASTARD!! what did say … HUH!!.. say it one more time and I will break each and every one of your teeth one by one” said Jack full of killing intent which made Simon shiver as he felt cold sweat appear on his forehead.
“you …you… what are you doing let me of .. or I will tell the disciplinary committee and get you kicked out of the academy .. ” said Simon with shivering fear.
When jack saw and heard Simon speak in terror he couldn’t help but smile coldly “what? you want to go to the disciplinary committee and whine .So go ahead and do it after I beat you up ” said jack in a threatening tone.
Seeing the pitiful shape of their young master all the lackeys grunt with dissatisfaction “JACK YOU BASTARD! Leave young master at once or it will not be good for you”… Shouted one of the lackeys.
“Dogs should just shut their trap! When someone is talking to their master” rebutted jack coldly.
“YOU!!” said the lackey with an unsightly face.
Rebecca seeing that the matter was going out of hand had a trace of worry appear in her eyes “jack leave it alone alright, you don’t have to ruin your future for something said by these insects” said Rebecca in an ice cold tone while looking at Simon and his lackeys with her piercing gaze..
“Yea you are right.. I don’t have to mind a single world said by an insect… or it would be lowering myself esteem as a human” said jack gritting his teeth and throwing Simon to the side.
“Don’t let me see your face ever again… Or I might not be able to control myself…” said jack in an ice-cold tone his eyes with killing intent. Then he turned around without paying any heed towards Simon.
“Alright let’s go Rebecca ... I can’t stand to watch their faces its nauseating …” said jack while walking through the gate followed by Rebecca.

Simon after hearing jack insult him and then leaving stared at jacks Silhouette with hatred filled eyes “YOU!!... I’ll remember this jack, And I’ll make you pay for it ” said Simon threateningly from the side while his lackeys help getting him up.
As jack entered the campus gate. What followed after it was the majestic view of the Gloria Universe Academy. Levitating cars moving here and there, Spaceships flying through the clouds and at the center of it all was the main building of the Gloria academy suspended in the air with its pure azure blue color as if it’s the center of the whole world.
“DING DONG ….. IT IS REQUESTED FROM ALL THE 5TH YEAR 2 STRIPES STUDENTS WHO ARE YET TO REACH ARE REQUESTED TO ASSEMBLE AT THE LAUNCHING GROUNDS AT ONCE….. DING DONG” said a robotic voice.
“it’s us … lets go” said jack enthusiastically
Jack proceeded followed by Rebecca as they made their way to the launching grounds.
As jack neared the launching grounds he can see various space ships on runway jack saw a tall, bear chested burly bearded man with thick brows and a strikingly sharp gaze lecturing in front of a group of students.
As they neared the man looked at jack with his piercing gaze and said ”oh Mr. jack Robert and Mrs. Rebecca rosewood would you mind explaining to me why the both of you 30 minutes late.” Said robin in an intimidating tone.
“captain it’s just… umm..” said jack hesitatingly . “captain it was because of me I had some issues that needed to be dealt with in the family” reported Rebecca …
Captain robin eye brows perked up as he stared at both Rebecca and jack then he let out a sigh…” you know both of you are exceptional students and you both being late affects the whole class,so I don’t want this to be repeated again… IS. IT. CLEAR” ordered robin.
“YES SIR!!” saluted both jack and Rebecca .
After taking another glance at the duo captain robin turned towards the students and continued
“as I was saying there is going to be 5 teams , each team will be given a 3rdgen jupiter787.. your mission is to explore at least 9 planets of the galaxy GOLDENSUN.. at the end of the mission each team will have to submit a detailed report … and I want it at my desk … IS IT CLEAR..”
“YES CAPTAIN!!” replied all the students..
“alright any questions” asked robin…
Jack thought for a bit and looked at his left side to spot Simon glaring him venomously he then raised his hand and “CAPTAIN!”… shouted jack..
Robin looked at jack with a piercing gaze which made the later feel completely exposed …how frightening… thought jack
“Yes jack” said robin
“Captain is it possible to change members of a team” said jack pleadingly while at the same time looking at Simon which made the venom in latter eyes even more intensified.
Robin looked at Simon then sighed “I know there is a beef between you and Simon and I have to inform you that teams are made by the higher-ups and I can’t do anything to change it.. it is something between the two of you it has nothing to do with the academy .. Got it” said robin while shrugging his shoulders.
Just you wait jack I’m gonna make you pay dearly for what you did to me… Thought Simon while a cold smirk was planted on his face
“Yes sir..” responded jack sulkily
Heh…. well I didn’t want to board the same ship as that prick Simon, But well I can take this as an opportunity to teach him a lesson thought jack with a cold heart.
“Alright… everybody knows who their team members are, so pick a ship and start preparing. The ships should be ready for takeoff exactly 2hrs from now, so DISPERSE!!” said robin after seeing that nobody had any questions.
“YES CAPTAIN!!!” saluted the whole class.
Jack after scheming about what to do with Simon looked around to spot his last two team members, when he spotted a petite, round-faced with red cherry lips mesmerizing crystal blue eyes and a skin as fare as jade waving at him while a cold looking black colored 3-piece dressed man was standing behind her .
“Hey here… Here big brother jack” called Zara with a smile.
Seeing such a beauty waving and calling at him made jack happy and uplifted his ruined mood, but then he recalled that Zara is Simon’s fiancée and his mood once again fell.
“yea coming…..”shouted jack with a grin then he turned around and saw Rebecca discussing something with the captain and called” hey Rebecca c’mon lets go”
Rebecca turned around to see jack grinning and off a distance a twin tailed girl waving and smiling at her under a red jupiter787.
“Thanks captain ill make sure to keep an eye on the radar for any spatial storms and distortions ”said Rebecca humbly.
“Good … and please keep an eye on those two for me will you… God why can’t they be a little bit as sensible as you” said robin helplessly while sighing.
“Alright go .. I expect good results from you Rebecca is that clear” Said robin sternly.
“Yes captain I’ll keep that in mind” replied Rebecca.
Rebecca then turned around and walked towards jack.
“Ok let’s go.” Said Rebecca emotionlessly. Which made jack shudder with coldness.
Then she continued to walk towards the spaceship, with jack followed behind her.
“Hey Rebecca our tech genius, how are you ” said Zara with a smile.
“I’m fine thank you for asking” replied Rebecca in an ice-cold tone which made Zara’s eyes flicker, and then she proceeded towards the ship while giving a nod to the man standing behind Zara. A beam shoots out from the ship to envelope Rebecca.
“CONFIRMING IDENTITIY …. REBECCA ROSEWOOD CONFIRMED. PERMISSION GRANTED FOR ACCESSING THE SPACEVESSEL” replied the A.I
PSHHHH.. a door opened and Rebecca went in.
“hmnf no fun” Zara grunted then she looked over at jack.. “So big bro jack are you nervous….. I’m soo nervous right now and a bit scared … u know ” said Zara depressed..
When jack saw this he felt a bit bad.. “oh c’mon you don’t have to worry as nothing will happen to you with your big brother jack here” said jack spiritedly while puffing his chest out.
“Really… Thank you big brother jack… ” said Zara as she smiled sweetly.
This made the man in black let out a snort “please refrain from flirting with young Miss she’s already betrothed to young master Simon” said Alphosno with coldly.
”also she is the young miss of the chyster noble family so you don’t have the social standing to be conversing with her so openly” said alphonso with disdain visible in his sharp eyes.
This made jack expression turn ugly when Zara saw this she hurriedly stopped alphonso.
“alphonso please stop it… This is not the Chyster family we are in the academy and he is our team member.. so please refrain from saying such things to big bro jack” reprimanded Zara sternly..
“But… Young miss” alphonso tried to reason when Zara cut him off.. ”enough.. I don’t want to hear it” rebuked Zara as she glared at alphonso angrily. This made alphonso look at jack coldly
“Yes young miss” said alphonso respectfully then with a grunt he looked the other way when he saw Simon making his way towards them.
Simon who heard and saw all this felt his heart go cold as hatred rose within him. Then with the flick of his sleeve he made his way towards them.
“well don’t you have any shame jack .. talking and flirting like that with someone else’s fiancée ” said simon hatefully.
“what made you think that I give a damn about you.. I jack talk to whomever I want to talk to” replied jack coldly … this made the coldness and venom in Simon hear grow even more as he spat ”shameless”.
Zara who was watching this began to frown “enough ” she said “Simon I’m NOT flirting and secondly big bro jack is my team mate and we are not married yet so whatever I do is my BUSINESS” said Zara annoyingly.
Hearing this made jack smirk as he looked at Simon mockingly which made the later eye flash with coldness and murder as he stared at jack when with a PSSSS the ships door opened and Rebecca’s cold voice was heard
“if you have so much free time to talk nonsense … then I suggest that the three of you get your asses up here so that we can start preparing ” said Rebecca in an ice cold voice.
“hmnf” grunted simon as he proceeded towards the space ship.
“lets us go too big bro jack” said zara excitedly which made excitement, anticipation and a hint of fear flash in jack’s eyes “yea lets go” said jack enthusiastically, then both of them proceeded towards the ship with alphonso following behind.
“CONFIRMING IDENITIES… SIMON BROUDRETICH, JACK ROBERT, ZARA CHYSTER, ALPHONSO CHYSTER CONFIRMED PERMISSION GRANTED PPLEASE PROCEED IN TO THE SPACE VESSEL “said A.I.
As jack entered the ship he saw the sky-blue interior with crimson red floor, it had a wide circular space with 5 seats perfectly spaced in the middle with a projected control screen flashing in front of the chairs.
“Alright everybody take your seats and familiarize yourselves with the controls so that we may start preparing” said Rebecca emotionlessly while fiddling with her controls on the projection screen
As they heard Rebecca everybody took to their seats and started their work on the projection screens.
“ATTENTION EVERYBODY YOUR TIME IS UP I WANT ALL THE SHIPS IN THE AIR IN 10 MINUTES” announced robin..
After hearing the announcement all the students went into their respective spaceships and the sounds of starting engines can be heard. As all the teams started preparing for their takeoff.
“Zara fuel and engine status” said Rebecca coldly “the tank is full, and the engine is up and running with no issues” replied Zara
“Shields and controls” shouted Rebecca .
”no problem here boss.. everything is good” replied jack attentively
“offensive systems and ammunitions ” said Rebecca coldly.
“no problem here” replied both Simon and Alphonso.
“alright A.I start the engines” said Rebecca .
“ENGINE STARTING IN 3.2.1 ………. VMMMM” .. the engine started and the ship started to levitate from the ground while blowing dust every where .. then with a FOOSHH it went up in to the air while making occasional sonic booms.
“status..” shouted Rebecca .
“we have exited the outermost atmospheric layer …. Building energy for light speed will be achieved in 30 seconds” replied jack attentively. As he looked at the beauty of the earth as it got smaller and smaller.
“alright everybody buckle up and sit tight as we will be achieving light speed in a few moments A.I begin light speed countdown” said Rebecca. Hearing this everybody turned on their seat safety and a flicker of anticipation can be seen in their eyes.
“LIGHT SPEED COUNTDOWN .. LIGHT SPEED WILL BE ACHIEVED IN 10, 9, 8 ACHIEVED MACH 3…. 7, 6, 5. ACHIEVED MACH5 3, 2, 1… PSSSIIII…. LIGHT SPEED ACHIEVED”. ..Replied A.I in robotic tone
The ship made a few sonic booms then turned into a streak of red light that flowed towards the vast universe.
“Status “inquired said Rebecca…
“All good” replied Jack, Zara, Simon and Alphonso.
Rebecca unchecked her seat safety and turned towards jack “how much time till we reach GOLDENSUN” asked Rebecca with a gleam of anticipation.
Jack after hearing this looked at his screen “we will reach GOLDENSUN in 2 months… light speed will be maintained for a month and a half” replied jack with excitement and anticipation flickering in his eyes..
Mom and dad just you wait. I have already taken my first step.. I will surely look for the both of you in the near future… so that we will all be together once again thought jack with a look of intense longing.
Rebecca sighed as she locked at jack’s expression as a strange gleam appeared in her eyes.
“ok everybody can uncheck their safety seats and can relax” Said Rebecca coldly. Then she looked everyone with her cold eyes
“alright jack you are responsible for navigation ,Zara you keep an eye on the status of the ship, Simon and Alphonso you two keep the defense system in check”… said Rebecca as she proceeded to the projection of the radar for any signs of wormholes or spatial storms.
As everybody heard this they got up from their seats to their respective positions. While everyone had look of expectations on their faces, a cold gleam appeared in Zara’s eyes as her eyes became sharp then it went back to normal before anyone can notice..
like this a red ship shuttered through the space unknown of the dangers that the unpredictable boundless space holds
after 1 month and 14 days
“BREACHING GOLDENSUN GALAXY OUTER ASTEROID SPACE… DESTINATION PLANET REDMERCURY IN 16 DAYS 2HRS… DECREASING SPEED TO MACH10 IN 15 SEC... IT IS ADVISED TO BE ON YOUR SEATS” A.I robotic voice rang out.
“Alright everybody get to your positions ..as we are about to enter the asteroid zone so I want everybody to be completely focused and vigilant because it’s going to get dangerous” warned Rebecca .
“YES!!” replied Zara, jack, Simon and alphonso….
“Rebecca can I get the radar this time I’m completely fed up with looking at the status screen “pleaded Zara. Rebecca looked at Zara with her cold piercing eyes then nodded
” alright you can do that but be completely vigilant” said Rebecca sternly.
“thanks… hey big bro jack why don’t you sit with me at the shield control while you leave that boring job for Simon and alphonso ”said Zara as she smiled sweetly at jack
Seeing Zara smile so sweetly at him. Jack happily went up from his seat towards Zara while giving Simon a mocking look.
Simon looking at jack felt his innards go green. As a deep hatred flashed in his eyes followed by a cold smile as he went to the control and navigation seat with aphonso..
“DECREASING SPEED TO MACH10 IN 5,4,3,2,1….. INITIAL CONTACT TO THE ASTEROIDS FIELD IN 5 SEC” A.I robotic voice rang out…
“alright everybody buckle up and be vigilant” said Rebecca with a hint of worry in her eyes.
“CONTACT WITH ASTEROIDS FIELD IN 3,2,1” RUMBLEE… rand out A.I robotic voice followed by the sound of ships shield with the asteroids rubble ….
Everybody seemed worried and anxious .. like this the spaceship kept moving through the asteroids rubble when suddenly the whole cabin went red and alarms went off “WARNING WARNING AN UNKNOWN FIELD IS INTERFERRING WITH THE SHIPS CONTROLS” A.I robotic voice rang out …
The ship started to shake and the controls started to go out of control… everybody started to panic and deep anxiousness fear and worry was seen on everyone’s face…
“Big bro jack I’m scared” said Zara anxiously..
Jack looking at Zara thought worriedly... What the hell happened… Everything was good a moment ago what just happened… as he hurriedly went through all the screens a message pooped up showing a problem in the emergency compartment. Zara on the side of jack also saw the notification..
“what the emergency compartment what would have happened there” said Zara worriedly as she blinked her anxious looking eyes. Hearing this everybody looked at Zara then at the notification.
“you.. don’t worry ” said jack as he patted Zara on her head “I’ll go and see what is up in the emergency compartment” said jack decisively then he stood up and went towards the compartment door and the shaking of the ship became much more intense when suddenly Rebecca let out a groan and slumped on her seat unconscious .
Zara seeing Rebecca unconscious let out a shout… jack looked back to see Rebecca on her seat. The whole atmosphere became heavy and jack felt that a heavy rock was placed on his heart.
“REBECCA!!” Jack shouted seeing jack so anxious Zara hurriedly got up from her seat..
“big bro jack you don’t have to be this anxious ” said Zara as she made her way to Rebecca’s seat. After she went up to Rebecca , she took her hand to check her pulse..
“thank god… big bro jack she’s just unconscious” said Zara while breathing a sigh of relief.. seeing this made jack breathe a sigh as if a huge burden was lifted off of his shoulders, but his eyes still showed the deep worry he felt for Rebecca……. As he made his way past the compartment door he looked back to see the mood in the ship was still as heavy and stifling as everyone was under pressure doing everything they can to stabilize the ship.
when jack entered the compartment everything was dark except for some flickering green lights here and there due the collision of shields with the asteroids. So swiped the screen on his right side and the whole room lit up with a yellow light which was blinking from on and off due to the heavy shaking and signal control interruptions.
“A.I show me the emergency compartment controls” said jack urgently.
“………….” Seeing that there was no response … jack sighed with a heavy heart as even the A.I has been disconnected. So he made his way to the manual control panel to check the issue.
As jack went up to the control panel and took of the cover an intense sense of crisis welled up in his heart, and when he looked out off the compartment chamber through the transparent window his heart suddenly went cold from fear.
“god… wh..at… that” said jack as he shuddered.
As outside at a distance there were no asteroids just a raging storm, devouring everything like a black hole, when jack looked at it he felt his soul shudder and his feet turned cold and he lost his strength to stand as if that raging spatial storm has taken his soul away from him…..
At that moment the ship started to shake with more intensity and the shields started showing signs of collapsing .. as the ship started to slowly drift towards the storm that jack came to his senses..
Nonononono… this cant be happening I have to warn them … we have to move the ship away as soon as possible thought jack with intense fear.
“wait ..wait..” muttered jack as he was about to stand up a thought suddenly hit him .. why didn’t we know about the storm .. why did the radar.. no wait..
“impossible” shouted jack… no no.. its not possible how could she …why would zara do such a thing.. thought jack..
When suddenly the compartment door started to close…
“EMERGENCY COMPARTMENT READY FOR EJECTION IN 30 SEC” came a robotic voice… which made jack heart leap with fear..
“ejec.. what” said jack fearfully as he looked up he saw a scene that made his mind go blank…
Zara was in Simons embrace as she looked at jack with eyes filled with utter coldness.. she looked like a death god ready to take a life…
“well jack you didn’t expect this didn’t you….. ” said Zara venomously as Simon and Alphonso at the side were glaring at jack with eyes overflowing with killing intent..
“why… wh..y” stuttered jack..
“why.. hmnf … a commoner like you wanted to be a 1st rate pilot trying to take the position from my husband… how ridiculous ” spat Zara as the coldness in her eyes went up another degree…
“a country bumpkin like you even dared to ridicule my husband Simon… you were just courting death ” said Zara as she glared at jack murderously.
Hearing Zara made jack shiver with fear “it was just talking you can’t do this … you can’t throw me away… Zara you can’t kill me ” said jack as despair was evident on his face…
“I can’t kill you hmnf.. do you know I knew about the storm and I was the one who poisoned Rebecca’s food and tempered with the system… just to see your despairing face… aah so beautiful ” said Zara as her gaze priced through jacks heart … which made jack shudder and fall on the ground with despair…
“EJECTION STARTIN IN 10 SEC” said a robotic voice … hearing this made eyes listless as slumped there on the floor heart in despair and tears rolling off his eyes
“why… why” he muttered…. “Mom dad I’m sorry I won’t be able to go and find you… sis I am sorry as I won’t be able to take you out for Sunday ice-cream” whispered jack in a low voice as tears coming out of his eyes…
Seeing jack despair made Zara , Simon and alphonso extremely comfortable as they all had looks of mocking..
“well there is some good news for you as we won’t be killing that bitch Rebecca … we don’t want the rosewood family investigating this u know” said Zara chillingly… “we will say that jack Robert sacrificed himself to save us… how heroic.. hahahahaha” mocked Zara..
Jack after hearing all this understood that it had been their plot to kill him from the beginning… he could only blame himself for being so stupid…
“hahahahaha” laughed jack as he turned to Zara to glare directly in her eyes “you bitch you will pay for what you did to me… someone will make you pay… if I die so what Rebecca will surely not let this matter go she will get to the bottom of this….. hahahaha” laughed jack bitterly..
“even if she did so what … do you think the academy will question us for the death of a commoner keep dreaming” spat Zara viciously as turned around to walk back to the control area
“c’mon lets go I can’t stand to watch his disgusting face… also we have to pull off immediately or else we might get swept in to the storm with him” said Zara coldly as she sat on her seat followed by Simon and alphonso
After hearing all that jack just sat there like a statue waiting for the countdown …
“EJECTING IN 3,2,1 PSHHH” the compartment ejected out in the boundless universe. Then it was slowly swept towards the storm then it went then vanished
Zara looking at this grunted as coldness flickered through her eyes “ alright lets get out of here” said zara .. as the ship pulled out of the asteroid field and went off the distance as only a red streak could be seen …
Back in the compartment the walls disintegrated, as jack felt his body ripped apart vanishing in the storm … all his memories flashed by his eyes… as he sighed… if I had another shot at life only if…. Lamented jack as he thought.
The very moment when his life was about to be extinguished the space around jack seemed to stagnate and freeze. As ripples of warm energies crashed at jack as he turned his eyes of the distance he saw a piercing golden light then his eyes went black ….
The golden light was an egg black as an abyss with golden runic patterns as it neared jack tattered body it gave of a faint blue light and then jacks body was sucked into it..
When jack came to his senses he was floating in a boundless space staring at two enormous dark blue eyes with occasional golden lights flickering in them…
The eyes gave him the feeling of ancientness as if they were eternal never to be destroyed by the flow of time… as jack was staring at the pair of eyes he felt a piercing pain in his head as he heard an ancient voice filled with arrogance and majesty as all life were below him speaking to him..
“MORTAL DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR DESTINY….. DO YOU WANT TO RULE THE UNIVERSE…? DO YOU WANT TO HAVE THE POWER TO TRAVEL THE CHAOS ALOOF AND WITHOUT WORRIES” ….. Said the ancient will…. YES!!! Shouted jack in his mind as excitement and anticipation burned within his eyes.
“IF YOU DO THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO SWEAR AN OATH TO TAKE MY CLAN TO RULE THE BOUNDLESS CHAOS” continued the ancient majestic will “YOU WILL MERGE WITH MY DECANDANT AND CHANGE YOUR DESTINY”
as the ancient will said this a small black egg with the size of an infants fist with golden runic patterns emerged from between the enormous eyes as it neared jack…. he could feel his heart and blood pulsating with the desire to merge with it.
Then the dark golden egg went through his chest area and in to his heart …. An intense pain emerged from his heart and jack felt his conciseness fading ….
Back in the stagnating space the black egg started to grow as it patterns color changed from golden to blood red. Then it started pulsating with deep blue light … you can see an infants body forming in the egg every time it pulsates………..
