The words this loudmouthed knight that's currently stuck on my teeth made me explode with rage....I simply didn't like what I heard.

I let go of the knight that died inside my mouth...my teeth pierced his armour and his flesh...sweet like taste filled my mouth....blood it was blood but...for some reason it tasted sweet...it wasn't metal like from the horned rabbits I hunted.

"C.....CHAOS DRAGON!?" I snapped back because of the yell...I glance at the direction of the voice....it's one of the four remaining green knights.

"Calm yourself....into formation...surrounded it the prince can wait!" one of the yelled.

"Yes commander!" the knights calmed down and responded to the given order...they surrounded me.

"ATTACK!" their commander yelled...all of them jumped at me...I raised my left front leg it also serves as an arm...I slammed the knight as much as I could...and I was surprised by my own strength...the knight flew far and slammed into a tree...and he was not moving any more blood flowed from his helmet.

While I was distracted by useless thoughts one of the knights stabbed my in the right leg "Gy ahh ahh!" I roared in pain...I turned around in anger..."n...no.." he whispered softly before I bit his head off.

Another sharp pain ran through me, this time, it was from my back...they are annoying...I turned around and tried hitting the knight stabbing me with his sword...but he is fast, he dodged me and jumped back....the same goes for the last one their commander...these two are better.

Both of them kept running around me and inflicting wounds all over my body....so annoying...."GAAAA!" I roared in anger....and moved my tail with lightning speed and managed to catch them off guard...the commander noticed just in time and managed to avoid my tail but....the other one was not so lucky.I slammed him into the ground with great force...when I lifted my tail I could see even his armour was broken and blood was flowing through the cracks.

"You damn monster...." spoke the commander....monster me?....Well, I guess I am.

He was ready to resume our battle but......there was currently a sword coming out of his chest.

I looked behind him...oh my its the blonde beauty...the prince...wonder why he helped me...well that is his enemy as well so I guess it is natural to do that....wonder if he will fight me as well.

He pulled the sword out of the commander's chest and sheathed  in its leather scabbard that was hanging from his waist.

"My prince!" oh it's the old man he stood in front of the blonde beauty and is currently facing me with a sword...what was his name again....urgh.

"Your majesty I will hold this abomination back...you must run away!" he yelled....abomination huh....now that's just rude.

I turned my whole body towards them.....damn my wounds hurt....they inflicted the wounds all over my body "gyaaa...." I let out a soft sound.

"Stop that Starmai....she saved us...put away your sword" Starmai that's right...anyway, this prince is smarter than he looks....he, at least, knows how to be thankful.....by the way how does he know I am a female....weird.

"B...but my prince....that's a chaos dragon...they only devour it had no reason to save us....it's just a mindless monster...you just run away my prince!" ok now I am pissed...who's a mindless monster!? 

I slowly moved towards them....."STARMAI I GAVE AN ORDER!" I was surprised....the calm prince that even accepted his death easily yelled....and believe me when I say he looks really pissed.

"Yes, my prince....." well, at least, we know who's the boss.

The blonde beauty....alright I will call him the prince...sheesh....anyway the prince turned towards me and started walking closer.

I wonder what he wants....when he was just an inch away from me he stopped....he lifted his head and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Form life link with me" he blurted some words about some link or something....I looked at the old man Starmai.....how should I say this....his mouth are wide open....his eyes almost popped up and he was pale as a ghost...I wonder why hmm....

"My.....my prince have you gone mad!?" old man Starmai yelled....really angrily.

The prince didn't even turn around...."no Starmai I am not I know what I am doing....we are both hated beings in this world....and besides I feel like I was meant to meet this dragon here" 

"My prince...." Starmai hung his head down in defeat he had nothing more to say....nothing that could convince the prince to reconsider his decision.

Tho I still don't know what this prince wants from me....should I ask him? Will he understand me?

"Umm...excuse me but what's a life link?" I spoke up and.....they just stared at me especially old man Starmai.

Did I say something weird....I wonder...."it....it..it can talk!?" and again it was the old man he looks really surprised, unlike the prince who is smiling while looking at me.

"Yes I can talk....and I am not a mindless monster.." I looked at the old man who flinched a little.

"Anyway I don't know what this....link of yours is....so can you explain it to me.." 

I looked at the prince..."yes of course" he started explaining me about this life link "the life link is an ancient spell that binds a highborn dragonkin like me and a pure dragon into a life long contract but as you can see I am a tainted highborn so no pure dragon will make a contract with me... anyway it will last as long as the two contracted are alive but...there is a downside if one of the two dies the other one will suffer the same fate......I know I am asking much from a mighty dragon like yourself...but I just feel like this is the right thing so what do you say?" 

So that's a life link....but a highborn dragonkin...he looks like a human to me but...it seems my feeling when I first saw him and the rest proves to be right...anyway if I accepted and I say IF...that means if he dies I die...that's kinda.....bad.

But...there is this feeling I have that I should accept....I wonder why I feel like this...is it because our circumstances are similar....compassion?

"Before I decide I have a question....why does a highborn dragonkin form a contract with the pure dragons?" it's been bugging me...so I had to ask.

"Well....we call ourselves highborn but....we are not actual dragons like the pure ones...we don't have dragon forms and its a custom to form a life link with a pure dragon a partner for life...but we have dragon blood...tho I myself always wondered how are we the rulers of the dragon kingdom heh" he chuckled.

Dragon kingdom huh...partner for life....I wonder what I should do...this thinking is killing me and my wounds sting all over....arghh!

"Sigh"and what do I get from all of this?" I asked 

"You get to be with someone this handsome?" he spoke.

"........" I just stared at him....is he a moron.

"haha joking just joking....well I do have big plans for this kingdom and this world....sp join me and you will no longer be alone..."

No longer alone....those words hit right in my heart....how long have I wanted to hear those words? How long have I wished for those words....too long...far too long.

"I....I accept" when I spoke those words he just smiled even brighter at me....did I really do the right thing?
