The silver haired woman stood over him, her expression was cold. "Any last word?"
"I'm not really a Cain. So why won't you believe me."Noah's voice was strained with desperation.
"Then how would you explain that eye of yours?" she retorted, her gaze fixed on him with suspicion.
Noah hesitated, scratching his head. "Umm.... Genetics, I think?"
The silver haired woman eyes narrowed further, her patience clearly wearing thin. "This is not a joke."
"But I'm not joking..." Noah insisted.
'It's not like I can say that I don't know either,' he thought desperately. 'I mean, I only found out years ago, when Master Morian took me in.'
The silver haired women remained cold as he looks down at Noah. "You really expect us to believe anything you say!"
"Anyway I shouldn't expect anything to a Cain after all. I should end you now." She brought her blades over his neck, aiming to cut it down.
Meanwhile, small cracks started appearing on the surface of the transparent dome.
Just when the silver haired was about to swing her sword, a booming voice was heard.
"Ryuji, extend!! "
[Divine Staff Alterations]
A hole appeared in the transparent dome in the sky, and a long golden staff with a dragon coiled around it descended from above.
The staff landed forcefully on the ground between Noah and the silver-haired woman, causing her to step back in surprise. Instantly, the ground cracked and the crimson flowers restraining Noah began to fade away.
"What the hell are you doing? Sol!"
The silver haired woman shouted, glaring up at the man above them.
The man had golden messy hair. Instead of the conventional long black coat of the Tower of Babel, he wore a black fabric of clothing that resembles the martial artist robe in the Dragon empire from the Eastern Continent.
"Easy, Ciel. Are you really going to kill him." Sol's voice boomed down, his expression was quite relaxed.
"Of course. A Descendant of Cain like him need to die." The silver haired woman named Ciel retorted, her cold eyes were still fixed on Noah.
"What if he's not? You know we're short on manpower right?" Sol replied, his tone was calm yet firm.
"Then how would you prove that he's not a Cain?" Ciel demanded, frustration was evident in her face.
"Did you forget? We have the Great Librarian for that." The corner of Sol's face curled up, and replied with a knowing smile.
Ciel clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Tsk, fine. But you need to get permission to do that."
"Don't worry, the head chief is the one who gave the order."
With a wave of his hands, the golden staff began to glow, and the staff became small. "I'll take him to the Great Librarian. She'll be able to determine the truth."
Noah, still weak and confused looked at Sol. "The Great Librarian?"
Sol nodded. "She has knowledge and abilities that reveal the true nature of a person. We also called her 'Recorder' because she had the tendency to record everything.
Ciel reluctantly removed the icy blades in her and stepped back. "But if she confirm that he's a Cain, I won't hesitate to kill him."
"Sure." Sol agreed then turned to Noah.
"Welcome to the City of Babylon!"

Thud.
Just as he said that, the Gate of the City opened with a large sound.
'Where's Adel? He deserves a beating...' Noah thought as he looked around before stepping inside the City of Babylon.
***
It didn't take long for Noah and Sol to reach the Tower of Babel as its large size was noticeable from a distance.
The imposing structure loomed over the landscape, its intricate designs and towering height are a testament to its significance and power. The closer they got, the more details emerged, ornate carvings, and a sense of ancient majesty.
"We're almost there," Sol said, glancing at Noah with a reassuring smile.
Noah nodded.
As they reached the grand entrance of the tower, the massive doors adorned with ancient runes swung open, revealing a vast hallway filled with ordinary people presumably a staff with their own field of expertise. Some of them look like a medic or a scholar.
While looking around the vast hallway, notice a part of the wall in the right side was engraved of something that looks like ancient language.
"What's that?" Noah asked, pointing at the wall.
Sol glanced at the engraving and smiled. "Ah, those are the Prophecy. We don't know who wrote them but it was one of the reasons why we Ego Masters exist."
"Why is the writer of the prophecy unknown?" Noah inquired, as he stepped closer.
Sol sighed. "Well, before us Ego Master took over the Tower, the engraving was already there."
Noah's brow furrowed. "But isn't there any way to trace it back to the writer?"
"We've tried," Sol admitted. "We assumed it was written during the founding of the Tower, but we discovered that it's actually 150 years younger than the Tower itself. The language used in the engravings resembles an ancient dialect from the southern regions, but there's no clear link to any known civilization or scribe."
Noah examined the intricate symbols more closely. "So, it remains a mystery."
"Exactly." Sol confirmed.
Noah traced his fingers lightly over the carvings. "Can you read them?"
"Of course," Sol replied with a smile. "The Tower has already deciphered them into our language, so pretty much all members know about it."
Noah's curiosity grew. "Can you tell me what it says?"
Sol nodded. "You're going to be part of the Tower, so I might tell you now."
He stare to the engraving in the wall, and read the prophecy in their language.
"In the twilight of a thousand millennia, when the two celestial bodies who ruled the day and night align and cast the curtain of darkness through the land, a figure shall emerge from the shadows of time. This being, known as the Harbinger of End, will walk the earth once in every ten thousand years.
With eyes that see beyond the veil of existence and a heart that beats with the rhythm of the cosmos, the Harbinger shall bring forth the key for both hope and despair. He will carry the wisdom of the ancients and the power to reshape the fate of all living things.
As he walks the earth, the dormant powers of the world shall awaken, and the secrets long forgotten will rise to the surface. The Harbinger will stand at the crossroads of destiny, where the paths of light and darkness converge. His choices will ignite the flames of change, and the world shall never be the same.
Beware, for the Harbinger's arrival heralds both creation and destruction. He will be a beacon to those who seek truth and a bane to those who dwell in falsehood. His coming is both a blessing and a curse, for in his hands lies the power to forge a new dawn or to bring about the final twilight.
Watch the skies, and listen to the whispers of the stars, for when the time is nigh, the Harbinger of End will return, and the world will once again stand on the brink of transformation."
"Harbinger of End?"
"Yeah," Sol confirmed. "He's called the Harbinger of End because he holds the key to that 'item'. It was also the reason why there's a holy war between the Tower and the Descendants of Cain every 10,000 years, fighting over who can find and keep the key first."
"Wait, a holy war? And every 10,000 years?" Noah asked.
"Yeah, there have already been two holy wars so far. And the time for the third war is near," Sol explained.
Noah's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, if there have already been two holy wars and the third one is near, that means the conflict between the Tower and the Descendants of Cain is almost 30,000 years."
"Exactly," Sol affirmed.
"Then why haven't we had proper countermeasures against the Cain?" Noah asked, frustration creeping into his voice.
"It's not that we haven't," Sol said with a sigh. "It's that we've lost them."
"Lost them?" Noah voice echoed, confused.
"Yeah," Sol said. "Do you think that, within the continuous fight against the Cain, we haven't suffered any aftermath? We lost them, especially some records of history.
It's also the reason, why we didn't advance much during the timeline of 30,000. However, at least we prevented the descendants of Cain from taking hold of that 'item' during the time of holy war."
Noah pondered this for a moment before realizing it makes sense.
"Then, What's that item that makes everyone go crazy about it?" Noah asked.
Sol stopped for a moment before replying,
".........The Chalice of the End......"
"The Chalice of what?" Noah asked, bewildered.
"The End," Sol repeated solemnly.
"Why is it called the Chalice of the End?" Noah asked, still puzzled.
Sol explained, "The Chalice is known by many names, such as the Holy Grail, the Goblet of Eternal Fire, and the Grail of the Holy Blood. However, the name that stands out the most is the Chalice of the End."
"Eh? Why?" Noah asked.
"Because that's what the Descendants of Cain called it," Sol replied, his tone darkening. "To them, it supposedly possessed the power to bring the end of all things and also make someone reach the realm of god."
Noah felt a chill run down his spine. "So, the Tower's mission is to keep this Chalice from falling into their hands?"
"Yes," Sol confirmed. "The Chalice holds immense power, and in the wrong hands, it could spell doom for all of us, or maybe the end of the world. That is why we must remain vigilant and ready for the coming war."
