Gabe: ‘Did you say that you received the 2nd book of the Dead?’ With a nod from my clone inside of my Pocket-Realm, I decided to focus on my questions up to this point.
Bert: “Before you continue, who is Jehovah?” I asked out loud concentrating on my pocket-Realm to listen to Gabe’s answer.
Gabe: ‘While inside of this tutorial, there are plenty of eyes on us, for this reason I’ll explain everything, but only talk from your Avatar here with me’ He eyed my Avatar, from which I gave him a nod.
Gabe: ‘Jehovah is who you know as Jesus, to others he is known as the Elder God of Creation. He is also known as one of the original founders of what everyone outside of Susej’s universe from which you were born; The System.’ I nodded as this seemed to be coming together for me now.
Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: ‘I’m guessing he is known as the Lost God?’ I questioned him wondering why he was called the lost god. Gabe seemed to pick up on my question and continued to explain.
Gabe: ‘Yes, some time after the creation of the System, Jehovah made a move to protect the humans that were created by Promethius. This was looked down upon by the other gods because the humans were the slaves to the higher powers. It’s what they were created for… So, Jehovah took most of the humans living on a planet known as Edge. He then somehow fled the system, and every god has been searching for him. Exactly how he hid an entire Universe from the System, I honestly don’t know.’ Gabe explained from which I nodded.
‘Now, we should continue to work on making you stronger so we can figure out how to get out of hell. I believe Lucifer and Morgloth two evil gods created what’s known as the Ragnarök. Or at least a prophecy that one would be born. As those both control all the nine gates of hell, the first gate was created to form the Ragnarök. After that Gate it is assumed that the rest of the trials is a way for Lucifer to control that Ragnarök. I also believe that Jehovah has some how added to this prophecy without the others knowing about it. For example, Me! With my help I believe we can achieve Ragnarök status, while removing the chance of you being controlled. I’m not positive, just a hunch.’
‘So, let’s work on you right now. I will work with your Avatar here in the Pocket-Realm, you should master your class [Necromancer Lord]! The book you received is more than just a legendary book, it is a coveted legendary book of the dead. Nine total, one having the power to easily challenge even a god. That is if you don’t go insane while using it, this I too can help with. I believe.’ He finished as he now faced my Avatar and told him to get into a meditative stance, so he can help him try to open the 6th gate.
Bert: I was somewhat unsatisfied with the explanations and only had more building up questions, but I knew Gabe was right… I needed to concentrate on making myself stronger while I still had the time.
So, with a flick of my wrist I made the book appear in my hands. Like my Avatar I also sat down and began to open it surprised that the wording and writing I understood. I for some reason knew right away that I was able to understand it because I held the rare class of Necromancer.
After nearly an hour of going through the pages I was surprised to learn that this book only concentrated on Curses. I could see how the base structure was designed but I wasn’t impressed by the cures in general. Like programing, it felt like it was way too much code and in essence that made the curses weaker. I read over one of the curses that I found I was whole heartly interested in. It was the curse of lycanthropy or better known on Earth as the Werewolf Curse.
The curse itself tried to keep it balanced by making the Werewolf strong, and to make it that strong give it a lot of negative side effects to balance it out. But why balance it? Why not make it ultimately strong? I decided before I continued to ask Gabe to see if he could enlighten me.
Bert: ‘Gabe, sorry to interrupt; Would you know by chance why a Curse has to stay balanced between good effects and bad effects?’ Gabe was in the middle of holding my Avatar’s back guiding him to where the sixth gate was.
Gabe: Without stopping what he was doing with my Avatar Gabe gave a short nod and answered. ‘The System demands a balance; no spell can be cast that grants great power that doesn’t have a matched side effect. With that being said, I do believe you don’t fall under those restraints. Just a guess, but perhaps you could experiment with it.’ Gabe replied to me.
Bert: I was excited to try out making a new curse! So, I looked into myself looking for my Death mana which was now a lot different then the way it was before. As I did, I noticed for a second the green mana off to my side barely visible against the tar like the black Mana I had now. Which brought another question to mind, so I quickly concentrated on my Pocket-Realm once again to find the two haven’t changed and I could feel my Avatar self-trying to hold the 5th gate open while trying to breakthrough the 6th. It wasn’t going well.
Bert: ‘Gabe, sorry to interrupt again, can you explain to me what the green mana is for?’ I asked but Gabe didn’t seem to be bugged as he gave a nod and looked up where I was seeing him.
Gabe: ‘It makes sense, the God of Death isn’t the only one who can raise the dead. The green Mana comes from the Father of Nature, one of the Six Greater Gods of the Sands. His power is of life and death over Nature. Although he concentrates more on healing and Druid like magics, not of the dead.’ Gabe explained as he looked back down to my Avatar helping me unlock that 6th Gate.
Bert: That gave me an idea, so once again I looked deep into myself and with the Tar mana created the base structure of the Curse I wanted to build. Holding that Structure, I pulled more Tar mana and concentrated on it creating the Werewolf. To my surprise it filled the curse matching the Curse I found in the book. I then started pulling pieces out… mainly all the bad side effects; like uncontrollable Rage, weak to Silver, Uncontrollable shift during a full moon. To my surprise it pulled a part easily.
I then pulled in more mana and concentrated on making the bonuses even stronger. I decided to leave the being bit by a werewolf created one into another werewolf. Using the imagination from many humans from my own planet Earth, I placed inside the curse pure loyalty. Also, like the vampire curse I made it so the first Werewolf would always be the strongest and the Patriarch from which all must follow.
Moving the Curse, I found that a few things I had created seemed to just fall out, but not all. Technically, what Gabe had explained I shouldn’t have been able to get this far. With a smile I started debugging my own Curse, and eventually I was able to make a stable curse.
I tried to push it outside of my body to my outstretched hand but found it was starting to become unstable so quickly brought it back in. I really didn’t want to let go of this Curse; it took me hours just to get this far! With a thought I tried to throw the curse into my inventory and was surprised by its success!
I quickly checked my inventory and seen that the stable Werewolf Curse was stable right next to the weakness marble curse I had created before.
Embarrassed by the terrible weakness curse I created I took it out of my inventory and returned it to my mana.
With the success of that curse, I decided to work on the raise dead spell. The book of Curses didn’t give any hints on how to create the spell, but from the structure of the Curse, I decided to experiment.
Like how the Curse was I created a foundation, then pulled in more of the darkness tar Mana and made it into the ‘Raise Dead’ Spell. With that success and it is holding strong, I got another idea and reached for the green mist type of God and added ‘Revive’. To my absolute surprise, it worked! It wasn’t stable though, and I found that was because it needed much more mana for the spell. So, I pulled nearly all my remaining mana to the ‘Revive’ part. And like programing code, I placed it as a ‘If Then’ statement. If ‘Raise Dead’ Spell is successful than the spell would then heal the body that the dead had before giving it a heartbeat.
Without testing it I knew what would happen, it would remain undead like a skeleton that just happened to have a living body around it like a blanket. I then added another layer of Darkness that made it so it had to remain Loyal and didn’t require me to hold my will upon it like the other two I had created. The living Undead would be able to hold itself in being, and no matter what it would be loyal to me or the one casting this spell I just created.
Then I added the one word ‘Rise’ to be the cannon that casted the spell. And I looked at the completely stable spell with a big smile.
I wanted to test it immediately, so I opened my eyes and stood up holding my hand out. With an unneeded flick of my wrist to show I made a Brute corpse appear in front of me.
Then while holding the spell still in mind still, I looked at the corpse and said ‘Rise’!
The spell was quick to surround the corpse in the thick dark magic seeping into it, then a green mist surrounded the corpse healing all its wounds bringing it what looked like back alive.
The Brute quickly stood up and stood still awaiting my orders as if it was normal. I then was surprised by Gabe’s outburst, and it nearly made me jump out of my new leather shoes.
Gabe: “Did you just create a ‘Living Dead’?”
Bert: “Yep” I answered beaming. I could make my own army! A notification sounded so I was quick to open it up within my vision.
*Congratulations, you are one of the select few to create your own Spell within the System! You have been awarded with the Original Scroll for the spell!
With that thought I looked into myself and quickly made the spell again, although it wasn’t quickly, but to my surprise I had hardly any green mana left. I quickly pushed past the small bit I had and examined the back wall, but there were no pin holes. This was confusing, how was it that I gained green mana? Did I just lose it for good? I quickly left my Mana and turned to question to Gabe.

Bert: ‘Gabe, for some reason the very little green Mana I had, is dangerously low and I don’t see it regenerating? I even checked for pin holes like I found with the dark Mana.’ To my surprise I found my Avatar had finally burst through the 6th Gate!
With our joined experiences, I knew right away that it was mainly Gabe that did most of the work by using his divine energy to help me force it open. Within seconds my Avatar couldn’t hold it any longer and ended up closing all his gates and dropping to the ground of the Pocket-Realm exhausted.
Gabe: ‘Congratulations!’ Gabe then turned his attention towards me. ‘Understandable, it is strange that you can even access the sand since the class is specifically from the Dark God’. In saying that I believe the Divine Nature Sands, that you call Green Mana is basically a bi product from the dark mana. You should be able to take some of your Black Mana and mix it in the green with the intention of changing it to the Green Mana’. Gabe finished as he looked back towards my Avatar. “With our success in forcing our way through, I think we should continue your training. Now with your main mastering such an amazing spell he should be able to easily clear the dungeon’s thus forward until the Televised ending of the First floor.” Gabe explained giving me more questions once again.
I pushed for my Avatar to question him, but Gabe just explained he would explain it before we reached it.
So, I moved my concentration back towards my mana and did as Gabe said. It was easy to move the mana and mix it, but not to change it. With a lot of back and forth between Gabe and me working the mana after 3 hours I was finally able to accomplish the goal. Upon doing so I could feel the ‘Dark Gods’ Displeasure in what I was doing through the sea of Black Tar Mana.
With my success, I created many ‘Raise Dead’ Spells and threw them in my inventory, so I could essentially cast them instantly. Explaining this little trick with Gabe, got all kinds of that’s not normal responses, but he also explained that no ‘one besides the gods themselves have an Infinite inventory. Most people or Celestials can only use the popular Ring of holding to have the same trick as me, only they get certain number of slots not to exceed twenty and there is also a weight limit.
I had no worries of weight or slots, I smiled.
As Gabe worked on my Avatar in my Pocket-Realm, I walked with my three-walking dead towards the orb and was hoping that they crossed with me.
Once I was teleported, I quickly used Stealth, and waited to take in my surroundings. I was once again in a dark tunnel that was like daylight to me, not even shadows it was so dark, but nothing could hide from my vision.
The second thing I noticed was my undead didn’t follow with me… I should have tried to put them in my Pocket-Realm, I scolded myself for jumping the gun.
Considering the Skaven Caster seemed to be the strongest I summoned the last corpse I had of it and concentrating on my ‘Living Undead’ spell and casted it towards the corpse.
Like before the darkness seeped into it, making its eyes glow a blackish glow, then the green mana spread out around the corpse giving it life once again. The Skaven watched me closely for any commands I would give it. I was admiring watching it breathe and move from foot to foot from the uncomfortable ground.
I did the same thing to another Brute and the last cleric I had, then with a thought ordered them to follow. My plan was to first asses the situation, then have my three walk normally to the strongest ones and on my mental command do a surprise attack.
Seeing that Gabe and my Avatar were busy I didn’t bother telling them my plan, and I started walking forward leaving my three-living undead behind me. I knew that I could mentally command them to come, besides they couldn’t see me to follow any ways.
Like before there was nothing in the tunnel as far as I could see which was to the bend that went down this time. Getting closer I could hear clatter down in the depths of the steep ramp going down.
I was careful going down, not making any rocks go tumbling to make the others aware, and with my perfect vision there was no worries of slipping. The decline seemed to go for at least a mile before it leveled out and moved to the left.
Sneaking through the left turn the cavern opened into a large opening and an insane looking underground mountain with Goblins all over it. The size of the cavern to fit a mountain within it was absolutely mind blowing. There was even some kind of bird flying barely seeable with my vision.
There had to be at least a hundred Goblins, all with small camps all around the base of the mountain which had a large cave that was guarded by better equipped Goblins.
My plan was now flushed down the toilet, my living undead would not be able to sneak up on these goblins, or would they?
I thought about still trying out my idea, but even if it worked it wasn’t a few big one’s I could take out, all the goblins were the same size. The numbers would destroy my minions faster then I could kill them.
Without fear of the goblins hearing since they were so far away, I gave a mental command for my minions to come to me.
I currently had ten ‘Living Undead’ spells prepared, but it would do no good here I was just outnumbered. I thought about quitting and letting my Avatar or myself beat this round with our [Battle Monk] class, but Gabe was doing me a big favor helping me master my current ability to open the gates and make it so I could hold it a lot longer if not permanently.
I needed more spells in my Arsen! So, I feel back a bit going about halfway up the ramp and un-stealthing so my living undead could see me. I then gave them a mental command to watch for incoming patrols of the goblins if any and quietly warn me before they were discovered.
Feeling their need to make me proud I gave a smile as they went down to the bottom of the ramp and remained hidden on the sides of the hole to the large cavern keeping quiet.
Feeling good about this, I drew back into myself and started transferring dark mana into green mana. I was getting much faster at this, and to my luck the Tar like black mana made the green mana very thick as well, nothing as close as the thick tar, but the light mist was now like an oil type feel.
I was now going to need an AOE spell, that could damage or kill large groups as this was what I was about to deal with. From my studies within the book of curses that drew my attention, but after contemplation it required a special kind of evil to do most of them. So maybe I could earn another original scroll whatever that was for and create my own!
With a flick of my wrist, I made the Book of Curses appear in my hands and I opened the dark leather cover skimming through the pages looking for all the parts I liked. Weakness was first on the list! A curse to feed on life force, that was another one I really liked. The Banshee call was another one I liked, I had studied that one once again, completely interested in the idea of a Banshee! I couldn’t wait to make one of those… Then I thought… Why not now? The Banshee appeared to have great AOE attacks it could use that would destroy the weak goblins!
I studied the bit about the banshee, and realized that the only way I would be able to do it with what I had I needed to open a portal to the dead and capture a female spirit and turn it into my Banshee. Suding the spell to open the portal, I realized that it was very Mana intensive, it would essentially take nearly all my Mana to obtain. This was obviously a spell that was supposed to be way too advanced for my level. But I had the Mana, and I believed I could improve the spell.
I created the spell exactly as the book declared and quickly created a circle of mana on the floor by spilling it directly from myself. To my satisfaction the Circle was perfect and like the book pointed out I pictured where the portal would appear.
I twisted the spell a bit, to only open the portal for a split second to capture the closest female spirit trapped in the land of the dead. With a thought and mumbling the strange symbols my spell worked with a flash of purple, and a floating naked woman ghost looking around.
I believed that if I hadn’t my vision I wouldn’t of been able to see her, but I saw her, and she was glancing around frightened. She even tried to leave but realized she was trapped in my mana circle. She quickly looked around until she saw me and with a frightened face waited for what I would do to her.
The trick of this spell was to get the spirit to agree first to become your pet. From what the book explained this was very easy, as any spirit trapped withing the Death Realm will do nearly everything to get back out.
Bert: “Hello, my name is Bertram! I have summoned you from the land of the Dead, to help me through my tutorial and perhaps beyond if you’re willing. Would you like to join me, and become my Banshee?
The voice didn’t reply, but did give me a hesitant nod of her head. That was good enough for me. I then started to create the Bainshee creation spell, I quickly took out all the negative effects of the Bainshee, hardly giving it a second glance to see what they did. Then I created something of a battery or a storage within the spell I was amassing, this creation of the mana was super Mana intensive, and I found myself waiting a few times for the thick mana to collect as I placed it into the spell. After 30 minutes of waiting and grabbing Mana I finally had enough. I also placed Loyalty, Speed, and the Revive Flesh ability within the spell.
Once again this drained all my spell reserves, but the spell was done. Opening my eyes and stretching out my hand I pointed to the female spirit and let go of my spell. I didn’t know what to expect, but I had prepared to hear screams perhaps of me changing the race of this poor human soul. To my surprise I received a scream of pleasure instead, and it echoed, putting me on the alert! This was going to wake up some Goblins.
I felt a distress from one of my minions, I could sense that danger was coming, but it wasn’t a lot. That was very interesting that I could speak to my minions this way. I would need to reflect on this longer to see what else I could do, but for now I had enemies coming.
I looked to my Banshee and to my surprise there was a naked 40+ year old woman in front of me. She wasn’t very attractive, but her body was very fit and the lure of sexy was strong. I immediately began to worry, could she even do anything? I could feel her will waiting to be commanded as she continued to stare at me… This was a part of the loyalty I had applied.
Bert: “A couple groups of Goblins are on their way to this location… Can you take them out then work your way around the cavern killing as many as you can?” I asked already getting a nod from the mature lady.
“Yes, I shall do as you command.” She stated then gave a short smile and added… “Thank you Master” then she seemed to phase back into a ghost and flew down the ramp out of the opening and out of my vision.
Well, that was a temporary fix, it would be nice if I could summon more but I currently had no mana. I decided to swipe the new notification that I ignored from my peripheral vision till it was in front of me to view.
*Congratulations, you have created a new superior Banshee! The Banshee’s soul spirit is that of a level 23. With its new powers with no drawbacks the Banshee’s level has increased to its max at 100! System has named this new creature the
Well, that was cool… Perhaps I didn’t need to make a new one after all… And how about the Spell Scroll… Or Original Spell Scroll as it was called… whatever.
I decided to go ahead and face the dreadful Spider holding back most of my mana flow… I needed more!
It wasn’t hard to find him, he wasn’t hidden behind that much Mana now.
Bert: ‘Don’t supposed you’d lend me more Mana? Currently in need of it.’ I stated just cutting to the chase.
God of Death: ‘No thank you? You have just become the most powerful Necromancer in history… And you come back with demands? Where’s my thanks?’ Yay, this wasn’t going to be easy.
Bert: ‘A god wanting the thanks of a little old human… I refuse to play your games… You can either give me the Mana I need and continue to watch me grow… Or I’ll never equip another Necromancer Class again…’ By the end of that I was surprisingly losing my temper… These teenage emotions were hard to get a handle on.
God of Death: ‘I’m liking you more and more! Yes of course I will supply you with as much Mana as you’ll ever need… I’m going to do even better than that! With your amazing success I am granting you a Special Class! Congratulations Necromancer, and good luck to your continued future, I will enjoy watching it.’ I was prepared to turn around and never come back, I wondered if the God of Death could sense that on me or not.
I watched as the flood gates were unleashed and the hole the spider was hiding in became an Oil well of liquid Tar spreading out, making a vast ocean of the stuff. While it was filling up, I decided to go ahead and start making more green Mana, so I had a strong supply of it.
Apex Banshee ‘Terra’: ‘Sir.’
I opened my eyes to see my Apex Banshee right in front of me and immediately I knew her name was ‘Terra’. I gave her a smile and nodded for her to continue.
Apex Banshee ‘Terra’: ‘All Goblin forces have been destroyed, the orb to continue the dungeon lays floating on the other side of the mountain, ready for you sir.’
…
