Bert: Now that I had time to meditate and unlock my other gates I sat down while my Main had summoned the staff I had unlocked. Normally people on earth or in heaven can even unlock their first Chakra Gate, but Susej had made me practice with him nearly every day for the past few years. I understand now more than anything that this was done on purpose.
Concentrating on opening my second gate came with ease and after accomplishing the task another notification pinged, but I easily ignored it this time.
Next was my third gate, and this one too came with ease following another notification with a Bing inside my head. Moving to the fourth chakra gate was no easy feat’ and I paused in wonder. I knew that I could hold the third gate open nearly indefinitely, but as I opened them up after the third, I would be given a time limit of how long I could hold it.
I decided to stay with my third gate open and stood up from my position. I glanced back at my main and decided to leave him behind while I continued down the tunnel that moved to the left. Using another ability that Susej taught me was the deft sneaking abilities of the ninjas from long time past. In heaven I held the highest rank as a Grandmaster Ninja, and just thinking about my sneaking abilities seemed to make myself become translucent. This surprised me as normally I wouldn’t become this invisible, so I finally opened my notifications to see what was going on.
*Congratulations, you have unlocked a mastery of the second degree
*Congratulations, you have unlocked a mastery of the third degree
*Congratulations, you have used a skill without the skill. You have unlocked the skill [Stealth].
Interesting, I just gave it a smile and took stock of everything around the corner, again there was Skaven’s about and there was a Brute with two hounds hiding around the corner. I nearly freaked out from the scare and nearly lost my stealth, but as it stood, they didn’t see me.
Wishing I had a weapon I decided to take advantage of my [Summon Jhinn Weapon]. I concentrated and I found the weapon suddenly in my hand. Power seemed to flow from the weapon into me raising my stats right away. I also received a notification but noticed the Brute surprised to see a weapon floating in midair, so I acted.
I immediately thrust the weapon through the Brutes face with surprising ease and lost my footing with hardly any resistance from the face the spear was going through.
Of course, I’ve got my third gate open. I’m much faster and stronger than I previously was. Without missing a beat, I quickly swiped at the two hounds as they in slow motion began to pounce towards me. They were immediately defeated.
After the bend and the failed ambush, I quickly stealthed up again and found that now the spear was invisible as well, even though I could see the outline. I moved into an open cavern and saw two Brutes each with two hounds each. Behind the Brutes was a Skaven Caster, and what looked like a Skaven Cleric.
Knowing how much slower all of them were, I moved quickly and dispatched both groups before the other knew what was happening. After swinging my spear to get the blood off I finally checked the notifications.
*Congratulations You are the first human to wield a Jhinn Weapon! Because of this legendary rare feat, you have been gifted with the legendary Innate ability [Raining Gold Feat]!
*Congratulations you have leveled up! You are now level 3; you have been awarded with three stat points.
The notifications kept going showing that I had gained 10 loot eggs that could be opened. Apparently, the Innate ability [Raining Gold Feat] gave me 100% guaranteed drops in dungeons! Seeing as everything was completed, I scanned the area then thought about releasing myself back to my main body.

I watched intently at how my clone had meditated and I could tell that it had unlocked the third gate, the fourth gate probably wasn’t wise to open since it would give a time limit. My Avatar must have thought the same thing because it quickly moved on in front of me.
Before it reached the corner, I saw it immediately disappear, and my jaw dropped. Perhaps it decided to move fast and since I didn’t have my third chakra gate open than I didn’t see it? I didn’t know but I would eventually anyways, so I didn’t think much more about it.
While my avatar was killing, I decided to do something with the class I had equipped, to my surprise Gabe started talking along the same wavelength of my own thinking.
Gabe: “I believe when System Tutorial told you your skill was broken, it wasn’t in the context that you couldn’t use it, but perhaps that it was too strong. I believe this to be because of your Ragnarök title. Perhaps if you equipped the title, you could test this possibility.
Bert: “Great Idea” I agreed, next I concentrated on the title and imagined me equipping it, from which I received a notification. I quickly scanned it open.
*You are unable to equip the Ragnarök title, as you are only a Ragnarök candidate. Because you are a Ragnarök Candidate you cannot receive system like skills or spells. At the same time no spell or skill is outside of your ability to use if figured out.
Well, that explained why it was broken, I guess at the same time
Should I even entertain the idea of accessing the Necromancer powers? A question for Gabe!
Bert: “Gabe…” A thought came to me on me calling him Gabe, I did see at one point that he was a “Lord General”, and his race was ‘Elder Arch Angel’ whatever that meant. “Is it okay if I call you Gabe? Or would you prefer I addressed you…” I stopped mid-sentence with his reply.
Gabe: “Gabe is fine, we are bonded now.” Gabe responded.
Bert: “In that case, Gabe; Isn’t the Necromancer skill considered evil?” I asked, concentrating on him inside of my little pocket realm.
Gabe: “Necromancer was created by evil but doesn’t make a person evil. There can be evil individuals even under what is considered a good class.” He replied, then he continued.
Gabe: “It would be wise to take this class and make it your own, it most likely will be difficult considering Susej couldn’t teach you that…” He said implying he understood I was tutored by him to learn my Chakra control.
Gabe: “The best advice I can give you from what I understand of the System, is to look into yourself and look for the mana for Necromancer. Since the class was created by the ‘Death God’ I would imagine the mana to take on a blackness.” He tutored as I did as he explained.
I looked into myself and almost immediately found the darkness mana, a lot of it. Then with a trained eye I also discovered a faint green mana as well.
Bert: “I’ve found it, and a faint green as well…” I explained, hoping he could feel me in with the details which he did.
Gabe: “Really!? Well for now don’t worry about the green, that can be used later once you master manipulating the Mana and creating your own spells. In your case you’ll be making curses, and your own version of raising the dead.” He explained.
Curses… I imagined myself grabbing the mana and thought about curses… but to my chagrin nothing had changed. I could feel me holding the darkness, but nothing came of a result from just thinking about it.
Bert: “How would I go about creating a curse?” I asked, keeping my concentration on holding the darkness mana.
Gabe: “Well, I don’t suppose you ever programed like the Earthlings?” He asked, which to my delight I understood programing very well, I had created one of the most successful games within all the heavens.
Bert: “Yes Sir…” I stated with a bit of pride.
Gabe: “Well from the necromancers I’ve ever fought they were always armed with curses, the lowest I’d think would be that of the [Weakness Curse]. I believe if you try to program a part of the mana to that end it might work for you.” Gabe explained as if he was a long-time professor explaining his experience to a class.
I did as he explained and imagined turning a piece of the darkness into something that would cause weakness when the curse was brought forward. To my delight it reacted and seemed to become a little different than the rest of the mana. I then concentrated on bringing that piece of mana to my hand and slowly opened my eyes looking at a type of darkness the size of a marble floating above my right hand.
Not having a target to throw it at, I decided to store it in my inventory, which to my surprise worked. With this success I quickly looked into myself and pulled a bit of darkness and imagined that it would raise a dead corpse that would be under my will.
And like last time the same result was issued although a bit different that I could detect. I began to move it out to my hand like the [Weakness Curse] but failed.
I asked Gabe, and he was quick to respond that if I was to place a word, no matter what the word is as its ignition then it could be an AOE, going towards anything close by. But he warned that it would take more power.
So, under his tutorage I imagined the raise dead to become under my own will and placed the word ‘Rise’ into it. To my surprise it stuck! But I still couldn’t bring it forth, so I held the mana within and spoke the word, “Rise”! To my surprise I felt the mana sucked out to empower my own word of power which I felt worked. Only there were no corpses, but I had some in my inventory!
With a flick of my wrist, I summoned the dead caster that dropped the staff, then pulled into myself pulling the mana and forming it to raise a corpse, while at the same time adding the word of power ‘Rise’ to it.
“Rise!” I stated as I felt the power rush out of me and enter the corpse in front of me. To my surprise the corpse sucked in the darkness and let it spread throughout its body, then the corpse slowly got up.
Gabe: “Wow, that wasn’t supposed to happen like that, usually it takes a lot of words to have enough power to accomplish such a spell.” He explained in surprise.
The Caster Rat, while still naked, had darkness in its eyes instead of its usual red glowing eyes. And the head had repaired itself with what looked like glowing darkness stitches.
Immediately I could feel that with a thought of will the caster rat would do as I commanded. For now, I decided to just let it be a bodyguard for me.
Before I could do anything else I felt my clone release and appear inside of my pocket-realm while at the same time I gained all the experiences it had.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
That was great! More loot, perhaps I could finally get some damn clothing! I decided to quickly open the egg loot.
After opening everything I received another staff with the same stats, two knives that were the size of big kitchen knives and sharp at that. Two leather tunics, Two sets of leather shoes, and three pairs of leather pants.
My clone quickly claimed a leather tunic, shoes, a pair of pants then quickly disappeared, reappearing in front of me.
Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: “I’ll continue to move forward…” My Avatar declared as he stealthed up and moved forward. I could see him while he was stealthed moving, I wondered why I couldn’t see him before…
I quickly got myself dressed, surprising the shoes and pants fit very well, almost as if the System was being kind to us for having to be naked the whole time.
With a thought I flicked my wrist and the cleric corpse fell to the ground, I then looked into myself created a portion of mana to raise a corpse and attached the word to it again. This time I decided to grab more mana which seemed to be not much, and while holding the spell concentrated on the other mana and started changing it. First, I thought ‘Haste’, but that did nothing, then I thought ‘Strength’ also nothing.
I think I needed more information on what exactly Necromancers were able to do. I released that portion of mana and again while holding the spell spoke “Rise”. To my delight The Skaven Cleric stood up from the ground. Like the other zombie I raised this one’s head was crushed, but the spell stitched it back up.
I decided to check my stats on my mana and found I was down to 10 mana left, raising corpses apparently took a lot of mana to do. I could feel the two zombies within my mind waiting for what I willed them to do, but it wasn’t taking any more mana.
Having all the time in the world, knowing I was more than protected with my Avatar finishing everything for me, I sat down and concentrated once again on myself. I moved all through my very little mana looking for how more came in, because the staff at least gave me a regeneration. To my delight I found a pin hole in the back wall of my mana and could see a small stream of darkness coming through. I concentrated my will on that pin hole and pushed with all my might to expand it. It moved a little but didn’t open any wider… Then I grabbed a bunch of mana and willed it to expand the hole, and then a sharp pain hit my head and I fell unconscious.
After my main opened all the eggs, I quickly took out a set of clothing for myself and got dressed. Then I concentrated outward and jumped to the spot I wanted to be in just in front of my main.
Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: “I’ll continue to move forward…” I stated too main, which technically was myself…
I stealthed up and realized that my main had not been able to see me when I stealthed up before, even though we have [True Sight]. I looked back wondering if he could see me now, but decided I’ll end up finding out later.
I moved towards the two bends then into the cavern I was in before. I looked around for an exit but didn’t see one, but I did see a dark orb at the back wall. I walked over to it and placed my hand on it and was immediately given a notification.
*Congratulations on completing 1.1 of the tutorial dungeon! You can continue by thinking ‘Yes’ to move on to 1.2 of the dungeon, or you can wait for the 12-hour timer to tick down and automatically be teleported to the next part of the dungeon. Would you like to move to 1.2 now?
Okay, this was a good thing, my main had more time to practice the caster class, and I could start unlocking skills hopefully with this class.
Looking into myself I found Gabe was within my personal pocket-realm that seemed to be separate from my Mains.
Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: “Its asking if we would like to continue to the next part of the dungeon or we can wait the remaining 12-hours and be automatically teleported there.” I explained out loud knowing Gabe would hear me.
Gabe: “12-hours, it would be wise to wait we could try to unlock more abilities for both the [Battle Monk] and the [Necromancer] classes.” He explained, which was on par with what I was thinking.
“Release…” I stated, but nothing happened. This was confusing… I looked into myself to ask Gabe to go check on my main, but he was one step ahead of me and already gone.
Just then Gabe reappeared.
Gabe: “Your main is unconscious, quickly go back and see what’s up. Perhaps make the cleric heal him.” Gabe said urgently.
I then concentrated on my inner chi, and with a little effort unlocked the 4th gate. Then not stopping I quickly moved towards the 5th gate, which caused quite a bit of pain, even when finished opening it, as if my cells couldn’t handle the extra power that was like a flood gate.
Ignoring the pain, I sprinted through the caverns and appeared at my main making a massive whirl wind knock the two Skaven’s over from the speed at which I moved.
To my delight my Main was already waking up, I then decided to release.
A great wind seemed to wake me up as I sat up and coughed a little bit from the dust. Before I opened my eyes my Great, we got time to figure out stuff before we continue… It’s been non-stop it seems all the way up to this point. I concentrated on my pocket-realm after hearing my Avatar explain to Gabe what happened to me. It was safe to say that while my Avatar was in my pocket-realm, it was as if I was multi-tasking doing both things at once. But it didn’t distract me, so I gave it no more time of my thinking. Now Gabe was explaining to my Avatar that he could start working with my I sat down cross legged and mentally willed my corpses to walk around and see if they could find enemies, even though I knew there was none. They were starting to stink, and I wasn’t interested in them standing by me with the stench. I looked deep into myself and quickly moved over to the hole that had knocked me unconscious, and quickly found my mana was more than replenished. It was thick, like a super thick black Mana that I’ve never seen before. Thinking mentally to check my stats I checked on my mana. My mana was sitting at 1450/100. My current was higher than my maximum. I practically swam through the mana willing it to let me through so I could inspect the back wall. To my surprise there was a big hole, and it was poring into my current mana. Bert: “umm, Gabe?” I questioned hoping he could reassure me that I wasn’t killing myself. Gabe: Yes? He responded, obviously still wondering if I was okay. Bert: “Is it bad to have the current Mana higher than the maximum Mana?” I asked seeing it not even slowing. Gabe: Technically no… but getting it higher than the maximum is pretty much rare, as only a few items can… Gabe was interrupted by me as I could tell he was in full Professor mode, and I was getting scared. Bert: “So for sure it isn’t bad too have like over ten thousand Mana as current mana when maximum is only said… one twenty or so?” I asked, forgetting my actual mana size as I was now distracted by the sudden stop in my mana. At this point Gabe responded but I only heard a muffled sound in the background as I was viewing the gaping hole in the back of my Mana but saw a large Black Widow looking Spider! It wasn’t the spider itself that was scary, it was the massive amount of evil practically dripping off it! Alien Spider: Interesting one of my coveted [Necromancer Lord] classes… on a human! The voice rolled through me and my mana causing a rumble that I feared would make my head explode. I quickly fled from inside myself and opened my eyes dripping in cold sweat. I knew without a shadow of doubt that it was an evil god that I had caught a glimpse of. Was it going to eat me from the inside? I didn’t know what to do, I quickly concentrated on my pocket realm and saw both my avatar and Gabe concentrating on me. Gabe: I can sense the fear from both of you, what has happened? Bert: I didn’t know where to start, but I feared my inability to speak would hinder me, so I decided to catch Gabe up quickly. “I found a pin hole in the back wall of my mana and could feel a trickle of mana coming from it, so I decided to make it bigger… That is why I fell unconscious, and now there is a large spider, with a godly type of evil coming from it!” I quickly stated trying to catch him up so he could help me. Gabe: hmm… I would guess that would be an avatar or creature of the God of Death himself. Do not worry, there is nothing he can do to you, except for perhaps stop your flow of Mana. Saying that, I wouldn’t speak with him if you can get away from it, he is truly an evil God. Thank heavens Gabe was quick on the draw, I truly was fearful of that crazy aura that had nearly knocked me unconscious. Now I knew my life wasn’t in danger, I thought again about what Gabe had said… He has stopped the flow of mana. But I did have over thirty-six thousand mana. Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: What if he has stopped the flow? My clone had spoken for the both of us but only in his mind towards Gabe. I feared the evil spider would be able to hear us otherwise. It was weird feeling like I was in both places at once. Gabe: “You need not fear, the pathway to use the mana of the Death God doesn’t give him the ability to see outside of your Mana.” Gabe explained out loud within my Pocket-Realm. Then an idea came to me, who would be better then the Death God himself, on how to create curses! Unless it could do something to me while I was down there? Bert: “Would it be safe to converse with this Death God, and perhaps learn about what the mana can do essentially?” I wondered out loud from my Main this time. Gabe: “I supposed if you could talk him into giving you free information, you’d have to be extra careful not to agree to any deals…” Gabe responded putting his hand on his chin as he thought. “It would be even better if you would use your mind speak to talk to me directly while you’re doing it, so I can also help you choose the words to respond. I don’t know why, but I was kind of wishing he would tell me no… But if I was to get stronger to survive hell then perhaps, I could trick this Death God into helping me. Something I could totally brag about to Susej himself! I concentrated once deeper into my mana and was utterly surprised about how much I had, and it was no longer a black type of smoke… It was a black Tar! I thought I might know why, each bit of power that responded to my will had picked it up… My normal 1 mana was no longer a 1 value. It was more like a 1000 value; my Mana was much stronger now. With a single thought my Mana moved out of my way, and I quickly worked my way towards where I knew the hole was. Feeling the evil, I kept my distance and with an extra will of effort split the black tar to show the spiral hole with the large spider sitting inside of it, with its legs sticking out. Gabe: Are you there yet? Gabe asked, surprising me making me jump in fright. Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: “Yes, keeping my distance!” My other self-explained as my Main observed the spider. God of Death: Strange… what’s a level 3 Human doing with my coveted class? And not just one but two! This freaked me out, Gabe had said that it wouldn’t be able to access outside of me! My clone quickly told Gabe what the spider had said. Gabe: “Normal, he’s a God after-all… One of the 6 Greater Gods of the Sands no less. While he can see your status, he won’t be able to hurt you outside of that.” Gabe explained reliving my fears. God of Death: A Ragnarök Candidate? Inside of the Tutorial? How is it an [innocent] has ended up in Hell Gate 1 to achieve the title? While the God was asking the questions, it didn’t seem to be aimed at me, it was just merely commenting. My other self once again relayed to Gabe what it had said, this time I was hoping to find out how I should word my questions to gain more knowledge of this class. Bert #2[Battle Monk 3rd Degree]: “How should I ask it to help me with the class?” I asked Gabe directly. Gabe: “I honestly don’t know; I feel like this is another one of Jehovah’s plans… You decide how to proceed from here, just let me know what you’re going to say. Gabe honestly needed to let me in on what the hell he was talking about, but questions for later. Bert: “Hello Sir, umm… Thanks for all the powerful mana.” I stated hoping to try to make a start off as friendly. Gabe had already agreed with me to say it. God of Death: I have given you nothing… Your attempt to circumvent the System amuses me. Apparently, you must be the one Lucifer speaks about. I don’t believe he knows your in the Tutorial though… I wonder if he even knows you’re here, and with one of my classes no less. Now I was starting to panic, first was Lucifer real? Second, did I even want Lucifer to know? My clone had relayed the God of Death’s words, along with my fear. Hoping for Professor Gabe at this time didn’t pan out, he only motioned for me to continue. I really was going to have to bug Gabe and get him to let me in on what exactly was being said. Bert: “No need for him to know… right?” I asked, hating myself for sounding like I was in trouble. God of Death: Worry not minion… I have bigger plans for you. You as a Ragnarök gives me the greatest comeback ever! The Gods mental speak was making me dizzy, and I had to shake my head a few times before I could think of what to say next. Gabe: “Interesting, perhaps the Goddess of Light has got the better of him once again.” He merely commented once again confusing me. Since Gabe was still playing passive I decided to continue. Bert: “Why do you refer me as a minion?” I asked wanting to add that I was no minion, but I was talking to a God for God’s sake. God of Death: I sense your anger… I don’t think I remember any humans that’d have any emotion besides fear since the disappearance of the Lost God. Very interesting indeed. Bert: Obviously I was getting nowhere except receiving more questions myself… With Gabe being caught up once again and having no word of advice I decided to change tactic. Bert: “Look… I’m kind of in a bind here, as being a Ragnarök Candidate I’m unable to receive spells or skills from my classes. Having two… [Necromancer] and the [Necromancer Lord] its kind of proven to be a useless class for me. I was hoping you could help?” I asked surprised that the God of Death waited for me to finish asking my question. God of Death: Especially since you’ll be going back to hell I’m guessing. I know for a fact that Lucifer has many candidates, but I doubt he has any with the [Innocent] flag on them. So be it my minion, I shall help you mold the most powerful class ever to be designed within the System. A notification sounded which made me jump in real life, and assuming after the God of Death’s statement, I figured he had to of done something, so I quickly read it. *Congratulations, you have received a Legendary Item from one of the Greater Gods of the System! You have received One of the Nine Books of Death ‘The Book of Curses’. God of Death: One of the few books to never be seen by anyone else within the System, is now your prize. You must agree to never allow any other to see this book, do not take it out of your inventory while not in your Pocket-Realm! *You have been asked to swear in the System to never reveal the 2nd book of the 9 legendary books of dead to anyone! By not agreeing to this promise you will suffer repercussions from One of the Six Greater Gods of the Sands. After relaying the Greater Gods’ words than the notifications, Gabe finally decided to give his two cents. Gabe: “He’s already given it to you, no need to agree… The end of the notification is only a bluff, as while he can change the text, he can’t punish you… at least not while you’re here or in hell.” Gabe explained, which again didn’t help me much. I planed on getting out of hell, what then? Bert: “While I won’t agree to your terms, I can tell you I’ll do my best to make sure no others know I have it.” I decided to try to play both sides, a strategy used by humans called compromise. God of Death: Smart… I honestly didn’t expect that; you happen to be full of surprises. So be it, I will hold you to your word… Ask if you have any questions, I’ll be right here. Feeling this was permission to leave I did so without hesitation, the evil was starting to make me get tunnel vision. While my other Avatar explained to Gabe his last comment and that I had left, he just nodded his head. I shook out what felt like the evil that was still around even though I knew it was in my head. With that done, now was the time to get some answers, we have plenty of time before we were automatically teleported back.
