Chapter 7: The Infernal

Chapter 7: The Infernal

Throughout my existence, I've witnessed stars of various colors and temperatures. From the scorching blue star with a temperature of 10,000 Kelvin to the white stars exceeding 7500 Kelvin, and the yellow stars peaking at 5500 Kelvin, down to the orange stars ranging from 3500 to 5000 Kelvin, and the lowest being the red star at 3500 Kelvin. These stars, mesmerizing as they were, always carried the risk of incinerating any life that ventured too close. Yet, what truly astonishes me is the vast expanse of space, constantly expanding to accommodate countless blazing orbs, attempting to contain the volatile gases within its grasp. Hydrogen and helium, the building blocks of these fiery masses, contribute to the spectacle.

Asura: "To think that you could create a red sun and sustain its maximum temperature solely through the manipulation of existence."

Fire demon: "Aren't you supposed to be begging for your life at this point? Yet here you are, leisurely discussing what I've created. Well, if those are to be your last words, I couldn't care less."

With a swift motion, the fire demon hurled the red sun towards Asura. Realizing he couldn't evade the impending explosion, Asura, clad in his 2% GREG and 2% dragon armor, focused all his spiritual energy to construct an invincible shield and braced for impact.

The ensuing explosion engulfed a tenth of the planet, leaving a searing aftermath in its wake. Hours passed, and amidst the charred landscape, Asura's burnt figure stood, seemingly untouched by the inferno.

Fire demon, initially relieved at her perceived victory, contacted the demon palace to declare Asura's demise.

Demon Lord of Souls: "Are you certain he's dead?"

Fire demon: "Yes, I am."

Demon Lord of Souls: "It seems unlikely. According to the system's rating, he's not easily vanquished."

Fire demon, alarmed by this revelation, sought confirmation from the system.

System interface: "NO."

A crackling sound interrupted their conversation, drawing their attention back to Asura's seemingly lifeless form.

Asura: "The core of existence manipulation is unfathomable, even to the most brilliant minds. It resides within words. Your intent was to incinerate me completely, but my focus was on protecting the body parts responsible for thought and speech. With a single word, one can alter the fabric of existence. Both 'beginning' and 'end' are mere words, allowing manipulation."

Fire demon, trembling with fear, struggled to comprehend Asura's resilience. With weakened resolve, she watched as Asura summoned Greg and prepared to deliver a final blow.

Asura: "Had you concentrated the volatile gases into every cell of your being and ignited them, turning yourself into a multitude of red suns, you might have stood a chance against me, or even eradicated me from existence."

Asura advanced towards the fire demon, who lay defenseless on the ground. In her moment of desperation, she sought aid from the Demon Lord of Souls.

Demon Lord of Souls: "Hold on for 15 seconds, and you will be rescued."

Asura, sensing her distress, approached and questioned her fate.

Asura: "What will happen in three seconds?"

The fire demon, mustering a faint smile, whispered, "Too late."

As gravity intensified, forcing all beings in the vicinity to the ground, including Asura, the fire demon, and the Demon Lord of Souls, a crack appeared in the sky. Through this fissure, a foreboding eye peered down upon them, casting a shadow of uncertainty over their existence.
