Chapter 4: The Fleeing Hero

"I've encountered countless main characters in my eternal journey. Some are meek, some arrogant, some lazy, while others are oblivious to pain. Yet, there are those who heavily rely on their systems; without them, they're nothing but mere shells.

Loyd: How do you know about the existence of the system?

Asura: Why wouldn't I? It's one of my greatest adversaries.

Loyd: So, you were once a main character.

Asura: Never. Even throughout my eternal existence. But main characters are formidable opponents, offering valuable experience for breakthroughs.

Loyd: I don't know who you are, but if you leave the planet, my territory, I won't bother with you.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Asura: Fear clouds rational thought. Your primitive system has likely warned you against reckless confrontation. Shall we end this before word reaches its main body?

Loyd: Even with my basic teleportation system, I can defeat you.

Asura: You're a frog in the well, unaware of what lies beyond. Come.

Loyd enveloped himself in a golden cloak for protection and teleported towards Asura, spear in hand. But Asura swiftly blocked the attack with GREG, as a looming shadow descended upon Loyd. Reacting, Loyd teleported to a strategic point, spear aimed at Asura's vulnerable position. Yet, Asura sensed the disturbance and evaded the fatal strike.

Infuriated, Loyd charged again, gathering golden light at his spear's tip and unleashing it upon Asura. GREG was too slow to intercept, and the attack pierced Asura's shoulder, while Loyd's leg was sent flying.

Loyd screamed in agony.

Asura: What's with the cry baby? Can't handle a lost limb, yet you seek my head? You have much to learn.

The system swiftly healed Loyd's leg, but fear gripped him. Asura's emotionless demeanor unnerved him, prompting him to flee, thoughts swirling with disbelief.

Asura: Curious. Most main characters show confidence or are willing to sacrifice themselves at this point. Yet he runs for his life. Well, I never leave prey once caught in my trap.

Now, it's time to unleash two percent of GREG's true strength. Etching Loyd's name onto the great sword, Asura sends it flying. He considers Loyd dead, ready to continue his journey. Perhaps he'll learn the meaning of pain."
