[New schema avalible: Slay the Tyrant Fujin]
[Honour: Nightmare Title]
The snow began to flow more vigorously along with each step Fujin took the density become more and more apparent. The aura he had let out acted as a fume to extinguish the flakes surrounding him, as though he was a walking flame. Fujin - not only did he possess incredible supernatural like abilities, his sheer strength alone was nothing to be taken lightly of.
This was clearly one-sided no matter how you look at it, but I was unable to resist the urge to step into the battlefiled. After all, it was my only hope for freedom.
"I'm suprised... You're not an undead and neither is there a necromancy user nearby. Are you perhaps an Vermillion beast?"
A vermillion beast?
[A Vermillion tribe are a genus that reside within extreme habitats of Dror'gathen. It is said that such beasts possess the ability to 'rebirth' from the state of death no matter the circumstances]
The screen afloat disappeared after the unexpected message, and in the view laid the tyrant ready to dash any second.
Fujin - in an instant covered 10 metres of space and managed to appear close to my vision, equipping his greatsword attached to his broad back. I heaved a few steps back to counter what was to unfold, but with the sheer brute strength he held, Fujin had bashed me with his shoulder tripping me off my foot. What triggered me was the fact I had no knowledge of basic combat skills, this foul battle was clearly one-sided.
He swung his sword diagonally onto me, but with a quick reaction, I had rolled over to my side on all fours and stood my ground. Timing was crucial, Fujin hadn't spared atleast a second for me to catch my breath, no - rather to even blink. He stepped in close to my bearings; one foot ahead of mine and landed a clean blow onto my lower abdomin.
However I had not fallen, I rushed in to blind spots wide open launching blur pnusches with speed, but it had not affected him. Fujin had practically absorbed the onslaught of blows with a grim determination, his thick arms and fists penetrated through them at ease.
The urge to empty my stomach was rough, my throat started to sting with an awful taste, but I had to stay vigilant.
"It's over."
What? I questioned his sudden statement.
Without realizing it, Fujin had precisley sliced my tendons right above my gastrocnemius. On both knees, shocked and afraid, there was no telling me what Fujin was about to do. His eyes looked as though they didn't have the intention to kill - rather to torture and ruin a life.
"W-wait please! Agh!"
Singlehandedly raising his sword against my shoulder, Fujin facial expression had gotten more horrid the louder I screamed, initially kicking onto my chest landing on my back against the snow.
"This was rather amusing kid, I had not you expected to survive for a bare minimum of 3 minutes. It's a shame things had come to this, blame the girl for this, not me."
There was the sudden motivation to act fast and counter, but that drive slowly lost it's fuel.
Rustle
Fujin had not noticed it, but there was a slight movement between the grass behind him.
"What are you looking behind me for?!"
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Right there and then, it was to surreal to think about. The head of the tyrant Fujin that seemed like an impossible task - his head was ripped apart from its roots with blood streaming out like a water sprinkler.
"Huh?"
A giant monster with a nightmarish features with its skin peeling and molding off; protuding spine and bone-like growths along it's back. A four limbed monster whose eyes were drooping with slime and a disproportionate head that seemed like to fall any minute. The eyes were sinister and glowing like otherworldly-intensity, gnarly claws that resembled its ferocious teeth hanging out. The creatures mouth dripped out toxic saliva that seemed to melt the snow, it made sick to the stomach the more I stared into its eyes.
[Unexpected Schema Change: Slay the Gravefiend beast]
"You want me to kill something like this?!"
Despite the horror and how impractical the task was, for the first time I've felt a ray of hope - a chance for me to survive. Perhaps the death of Fujin drove a new motivation, or it was the tempation to live.
The Gravefiend beast inhaled the air around increasing the texture of its muscular physique and torso giving it an unsettling and imposing presence. What felt like a heavy wind blow, occured from the heaving chest of the wretched beast, emitting rumbling sounds that were felt as vibrations in the air with each breath it took. The towering trees filled with snow dropped by the very tennsion sourrounded by the besast was menacing, approaching cautiously; crushing the rustly leaves underneath its colossal feet, it had truly spent shivers through and through.
The Beast charges first, with swpies of it's long claws across the field leaving out heavy blows of wind. I rush to grab Fujins claymore - what seeemed to be twice my weight, the adrenaline had evoked a new kind of strength in me. Whilst making sure by feet remain stable onto the ground, I had swung the sword with a wide arc that clashed aganist it's thick hide.
"Its penetrable! Just a few more-!"
At that moment, it had let out a deafening roar so guttural, it had started to reverberate through the forest.
[Fury of Gravefiend is being awakened!]
Turning its head onto my direction, the beast retaliated with more brutal swipes of it's claws only this time, overwhelmingly powerful. Its tail had lashed out spikey bone-like structures, thrusting it in every direction like a berserker. The impact had sent shockwaves inevitably making me fly against a tree, at this point the forest became an obstacle but an advantage for to use.
Fujin's combat skills had been ingrained into my concious, as though I could imitate them without struggle. On the contrary, my body lacked the physcial attributes to weild a Greatsword, making it harder for me to even remain stable.
Gulping out what seemed like toxicity from its mouth, It had melted the greatsword I held for protection from it.
An unfortunate disadvantage.
"What do I do now?!"
Trying the think over the current situation, my mind was blank from heaving across the field from its constant blows. But a faint idea rushed in like thunder, no matter the probability, atleast it was a start to a plan.
I ripped my cloth that the traffickers had tied me down to, and stood my ground ready for it to bolt in once again. The Gravefiend leaped across empty space, and when the time was right, I shifted my body towards my right. Hopping onto the beasts back with a swift and well-practiced motion, I looped a sturdy, cord-like cloth around the monster's thick neck, pulling it taut with every ounce of the strength I had left in me. Of course, a cloth wouldn't last very long and I was very much aware, but there always is a plan B.
The monster reacted with a guttural, choking sound, its eyes bulging in terror and rage. It thrashed wildly, its enormous limbs flailed, causing the forests to tremble and snow to pile up. Its claws scraped futilely at the cloth, and its teeth started to gnash at empty air.
Snap!
Right the instant it snapped, I swung around the crying beast and held onto its girthy neck with both my hands as tight as I could. The strength I had wasn't enough, it's claws fidgeting around wounded me multiple times to the point I had almost bled out along with my tendons which had started to open after its brief healing. With every ounce of power I had in me, my fingers were gradually piercing through its neck. Sweat piled along my brows, and my muscles strained against the relentless resistance of the monster. I knew that this is a battle of wills, and I refused to relent.
I let out wail for mercy and pain, and at the moment that felt like a fever dream, these fingers of mine that were piercing against a monster, is now dead.
Its movements become sluggish. Its breathing grew labored, and its once-fierce resistance started to die out.
[Congratulations challenger, You have slain the Gravefiend Beast!]
