No.... I was in pain from my scar hidden between two scales. An old scar.....

"HANS!!!" but there was no ship, no car park, no exodus and no corpses....

I was in my palace, on a pedestal of eternal ice, half melted. I was still a prisoner, but I was able to take my nightmare form and extricate myself from the ice.

Everything was dark, dead and silent and there was only one source of light, a torch with a human holding it.

She was on the floor, terrified, but I had other worries, other fears, and I rushed outside to see the sea of storms frozen like an ice floe.

Everything was frozen and it was dark, almost pitch black.

It was dead.

I was scared....

It was unnatural.

Then I changed back to my dragon form and flew to the city of the winds and... nothing.

The world was black, an ice cliff went up to the sky and even the sky was like the inside of an igloo.

There was no one there. No animals, no dreamers, not even a glow!

Panicked, I returned to the palace and landed near the terrified woman.

I then resumed my human form but with a mask to protect me.

I was looking at another queen, but human, I think.

And I was cold, very cold.

She too was almost frozen to death.

All dialogue was impossible and even her tears were frozen.

"Come on.... we have to get out of here!!!"

And I took her hand.

She was too weak to resist and I led her down the underground towards the destroyed Sphinxes.

"Don't be afraid... you're asleep but you have to be quick, you're freezing and you'll catch your death of cold!"

I was happy that I had seen someone alive, a dreamer, and that my adventure was only a nightmare. but was it a nightmare? a warning? a divination or a revelation?

I was afraid. afraid of myself and what I was and what I could do or had done.

I shook my head to dismiss the bad memories but this time I had tasted my own medicine. Giving others nightmares must have been horrible and I understood now why I was so hated. They weren't wrong but I didn't want all these deaths. I may have had a cursed existence but I still had a heart.

And I thought about Exodus... probably dead for millions of years. I had truly loved that dragon but I had betrayed him, I had unintentionally hurt his loved ones... it was an accident, a misunderstanding and there was not a day that I regretted but I got to meet Hans and know his love. I missed them all...

I was anxious to see how the world was now. I was afraid of what I would find... or not...

I was afraid of the emptiness, the darkness of being alone wandering in this dark hell.

"Please let them be alive!!! Pity!!!!" this sentence was running in a loop in my head. But I had to look after the human next to me. What if she was the only one left in the world? I was afraid...

and then, suddenly... the light.

It tore my eyes apart! but how good it was to live... to breathe! To feel the air and oxygen rush into your lungs.

I was back in my dark dragon form and beside me lay the little queen.

She was freezing with the stone floor and her clothes, too thin to give her any protection against the cold.

Gently I picked her up with my talons without hurting her and warmed her between my paws and wings.

The miracle happened and she woke up coughing but warm.

"HIIIIIIII" she screamed, lying under my wings.

"Fear not, little creature...you were taking death and I warmed you against me....!"
