the area seemed to change, the light in the area shifting into a darker blue. A small area around the group seemed to enclose itself in a bubble. Outside of the bubble, everything seemed to again become fragmented in appearance, broken into shards. A portal appeared in between the group.
“Glad to see you made it,” Hugo said, coming through the portal.
The dryad rose from the floor, the blue veins clearly gone from her arms and neck, she looked confused. She turned to the man in a lab coat and seemed to be taken back by something.
“Lady Morgana of the red forest. I was acquainted with your mother.” The man said to the lady.
“Wha, who, You. Hugo Lefebvre.” She said. her eyes wide and in shock, her confusion only increasing. The man went on one knee and grasped her hand.
“At your service milady.”
Kurt seemed to be impatiently tapping his foot in an effort to speed them along. The dryad pulled her hand out of the man's grasp.
“This trickery. You cannot possibly be alive.” She insisted.
“It is not a trick milady. I am truly here, and also I behold to you, my squires.”
Adil twitched at hearing this, but Swift was looking from side to side trying to figure out who the man was. He walked over to the side of the bubble they were in inspecting the barrier that shone distorted space past it.
“How did you just freeze everything?” Swift said almost taking to himself. Hugo grew a smile looking towards the seeker of knowledge.

“Well.. after I learnt the debroli pilot wave theory of quantum mechanics was accurate I tested the influence of mana over the extrapolation of energies in a given field in order to escalate the speed of causality to a point where the disparity of speed to a normal time frame suggests or causes, time to be frozen.”
“What?”
“Ah, well. You know how if you shoot a laser into a crystal it bends.”
“yeah.”
“well, that is like gravity... Gravity makes light bend like that, because the light moves slower. When part of the wavefunction is slowed it bends, meanders... I use mana.” He shines his staff. “To make space have less energy, so the 'E' or energy for the mass times speed of causality squared, does not need to be as high as outside this bubble. So the laser beans, and photons. Can move faster in here than out there. And this works because matter is just a box filled with things like photons... Does that make sense?” He asked.
“no…” Swift said. He was still trying to get his head around what was just said. He went to touch the side of the barrier, it was connected to the outside.
“Oh, I wouldn’t do that.”
Swift looked back.
“The speed we are moving, that’s basically a barrier holding back a black hole.”
Swift turned around and looked between Adil and Seras to see if this was something he was meant to be ok about.
“So Kurt, I guess you can come back now.” He notices the goblin sheepishly hiding behind the dryadic lady.
“That’s unusual.” the wizardtist said.
He walked over to the goblin behind the lady who seemed to move further back.
“Please.” The dryad said holding up a hand.
Hugo ignored her and put his staff slightly forward, towards the goblin, letting it glow a bit.
“I knew it.”
“There is a barrier in the essence of this species, I have never seen it before, but it appears so vividly in this one here.”
“What do you mean?”
“Some of them are meant to be girl goblins.” He said.
The dryad was taken back and grew a shade redder in an almost panicked, guilty realization.
“Can you fix it?” She asked.
“No, sorry, I would need the original source code. Uh, I would need something to reference the difference between them and vanilla *cough* normal humans.”
She looked visibly disappointed, Kurt jumped onto Hugo’s shoulder. "I think if that's it I should be off" he said. Kurt and the man were about to walk through another portal before he stopped.
“I think.” He said. Then turned to Adil Swift and Seras.
“How would you want another quest?” He asked.
