"Alright, alright! THAT'S ENOUGH!" I said, pushing through all of the people, journalists and trainers alike. I wasn't sure when it was, but it was obviously the time of year where the gyms were open and all the trainers from around the region were coming to test their skills. Based on my memory, Oreburgh City was supposedly the first gym to attempt in the anime and in the games, so it was obviously bustling with lots of different people. Newscasts, journalists, trainers, professors, scientists, probably all congregated here. And he just had to fight in a Pokémon battle with a Pokémon that no one had ever seen before. And the shouting for attention. It was like a hacking chorus of linguistic drones.
I pushed myself through the crowd, ducking and sidestepping most of them until I managed to step onto the bleachers to reach a substantial vantage point above everyone else. It was true that I had gotten away from the paparazzi, but now with my body above everyone else's, I was now an even bigger center of attention. Soon, people began to try to climb the bleachers, until my Aura swooped in front of me.
As the people faltered in their movements as the angelic mechanoid shoved herself between me and the crowd, it allowed me to speak without being ganged up on and interrupted.
"Alright," I said, clapping my hands to get their attention now that they've been temporarily halted. The mob held up phones recording at the ready, some with mini notebooks on hand, and one even with a massive news camera. They must have been recording the whole fight. "First of all, I find it really rude you barged into my Pokémon battle like that. I know you're excited to ask me questions, but that's some horrible manners for people who are supposed to be bystanders and spectators! I didn't even have a chance to end the battle properly with my opponent. I am quite ashamed at you all." I crossed my arms as the people silently lowered their heads. Only a few did so though.
"However, it seems you all still want answers, so I'll allow--"
"WHAT POKEMON IS THAT?" one voice yelled out, before I could even finish what I was saying. I squeezed my eyes and pursed my lips in mild annoyance.
"WHERE DID YOU FIND IT?"
"WHAT TYPE IS IT?"
"WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FOR JUBILIFE TV?"
"ENOUGH!" I yelled out. Even though I did yell out to get their attention, I regretted it immediately. Now even more people from the streets were looking my way.
"Yelling over each other will never work! If we want to be civil about this, please! Wait your turn! I'll call on those myself who will ask questions!" I scanned the crowd. They had gone silent, but were still whispering to one each other. "Alright," I began. "You, the fire specialist wannabe, with the red orange fire hair, speak up."
"First of all, thanks for noticing," he began, running a finger through his thirty minute hairdo. I mentally rolled my eyes. "Second, what the hell is that Pokémon? I've never seen it before in my life. Never heard anyone say, or hear, or even see anything that looks like that." The crowd murmured in agreement.
"First of all, it's probably a good thing you all never heard of my Pokémon. Second, it's called an Aura, and... that's all I can tell you." I said. "Next up--"
"Wait!" The flamin' hot Cheetos mascot tried to say, "How do you not know anything about--"
I pointed towards another person, ignoring him entirely. "You, the girl in the white polo."
"Alright!" she squealed out loud, muffling over red chili hair guy. "What moves does your 'Aura' do? I was watching the battle, and it did these amazing acrobatics, and it seemed it could also fly? Is your Pokémon a psychic type?"
"Again, all I can tell you is it's name." I said. "I don't know any of it's moves or it's typing, neither am I an avid trainer. I'm an explorer and a hobbyist researcher. You! The man in the khaki pants!"

Polo shirt girl too was hushed by another speaker, her mouth open ajar mid phrase. She shrunk back down, as matchstick guy had done before her. "I'm an avid explorer myself, and I have to ask, where did you find such a Pokémon? With all the people around nowadays, it would seem that we should've seen such a creature by chance."
"That's the thing though," I said, wagging a finger. "You'll probably never be able to see them, or never again like how I did. Let me tell you how I met Aura in the first place." Everyone immediately began listening in, phones coming slightly closer, and even a microphone being procured from a new anchor lady.
"One day, I was exploring the deep underground. I had no idea where I was, or when it was. All I know, is I was searching the underground for fossils and any gems I could come across. But then, oh, what's this! There's a large opening cavern full of stalagmites and stalactites as well as smooth waist high rocks! I was tired, so I stopped to rest."
"However, I saw something in the corner of my eye. It was a brick block, probably the size of a small cottage, except entirely made of brick. No windows, no doors, no entrances into it at all. I was curious, what was inside? The bricks were really old, so I tried pushing on them real hard, and I managed to break a hole into the building. And in front of me, I see this magnificent creature," I expressed overdramatically, with jazz hands, at Aura who was expressionlessly separating me from the rest of the mob.
"I was startled, amazed, and afraid, as at first I thought her razor sharp wings would rip me in half, but instead, she kneeled! I didn't know what to do, so I went to grab my backpack I had left back at the rocks to grab a pokeball, but when I came back, the entire brick building had vanished, and only the Aura was left, kneeling." I clasped my hands together. "And that's literally everything I can tell you. I am just as confused as all of you."
After my story, murmuring and chatter broke between the crowd. But one question still rang out. "How do you know it's name?"
I looked towards Aura, who nodded. "Aura." she firmly stated, in a firm and metallic voice. It was nothing like the warm and comforting voice she had earlier in the primitive factory.
The people were now speaking amongst each other, talking about my so called story. Was it completely fake and made up on the spot? Yes. Yes it was. Hopefully that would cover my tracks and they wouldn't go looking for it anymore. Now that everyone was preoccupied with the story, I gently tapped against Aura's backside and clicked my tongue. She got the message.
Before anyone could stop me, or even notice, her hand grabbed mine, and in a flash, we were gone.
----------------------------------------
The damn boy and his Aura vanished without a trace. Before anyone could ask him more on the story, like where the cavern was and what else he saw, or why he thought his Aura kneeled in the first place, he had done something to disappear from the bleachers. Everyone else was of course talking frantically, as their one source of information about this new Pokémon had seemingly disappeared.
As the crowd began to disperse, I pushed up my wire frame glasses and readjusted my baseball cap. It wasn't much to blend in, but it would do to cover my strikingly teal bowl cut hair. Stepping into one of the nearby restrooms, I pulled out the HQ communicator, and after unlocking it, quickly set it to the correct frequency.
"This is Galactic Grunt to HQ, from Oreburgh City. I have just witnessed a very powerful unknown Pokémon in the area. There is a lot of buzz about it, more may be found within the area. Source says it may be found in the underground. Check the news tonight, no doubt there'll be some headlines about it." I held the receiver waiting on the response, the single light above me illuminating the toilet, sink, and I.
"Good work, Oreburgh Grunt." The receiver responded. "Stay put, and look for more information about this so called unknown Pokémon."
I nodded and sighed, before shoving the receiver into my satchel. Disguised as an everyday tourist, I stepped out of the bathroom and into the streets. I glanced at the battlefield, where news anchors and trainers were interviewing one another, probably talking to each other about how they thought the battle went. The kid the Aura trainer was battling was walking off. Should I capture him to get information out of him?
I thought for a bit, before silently shaking my head. Nah, it would be a waste of time. I focused on walking ahead. All I knew was the sheer skill and prowess of that Pokémon. An Aura eh? With it's six blade wings and excellent footwork, as well as its probable psychic ability, anyone in the way of such a creature would easily be destroyed. And Team Galactic must have them.
----------------------------------------
"Where did he go?" I yelled into the crowd, the bodies pushing up against me, staining my white coat and frankly ruffling any notes I had scrawled during that scuffle for answers. "Where did he go to? I need more answers!"
I pushed through the people, making it to the front, and burst out to the bleachers where the only source of information of this Pokémon was supposed to be. Except just like everyone was yelling out, the man was gone without a trace, the Aura gone with him.
I stepped out from the crowd, the trainers and news anchors dispersing. I checked my notes. No doubt, if what that man said were true, and it could certainly lead to it, the Aura was most likely an ancient Pokémon, created by a hidden civilization. And perhaps it could even further boost his research.
It was a long day, managing things at the Mining Museum. I was originally on my way to speak to Roark about the fossil reviving machine, but on my way there, there was this massive crowd around the battlefield making a huge commotion. I of course had to see what it was, and I couldn't believe my eyes.
It was a Pokémon completely unknown to me, and even some of my colleagues too. I had taken out my phone to take a few photos, which I just as quickly sent to my fellow researchers. They responded quite quickly, and were just as confused and excited as I was. After the battle ended, the crowd seemed to push forward, and quite suddenly, I had been absorbed into it.
As I stood there, the source of information gone, and what little notes I had scrawled on a dinky notebook, I pondered. What could this mean for the future of Sinnoh? Well it meant that there was the possibility of an ancient ruin nearby, and more notably, more of those Auras. Even from a distance, it was obvious that the Aura wasn't trying at all in the fight. Like it was toying with its prey. If frankly, anyone could find an Aura and capture it immediately like that young explorer had it could mean... Oh no. It could mean...
"Excuse me," a young feminine voice said behind me. I turned around. It was a news anchor, the one from the Jubilife TV station.
"Am I needed for an interview?" I asked. She nodded. A man behind her lifted a large camera. "So, what did you think about that whole ordeal, Dr. Kenzo?"
