Author's Note

And so it comes to an end, most of the story tied up but with scope for expansion later on if I make a sequel. I wrote this story to it's natural conclusion, the direction my mind took me, and felt it was a good place to end.

This is the first fiction I've wrote and personally, I'm okay with it. I wrote it in four days, putting in a large share of my waking hours. I know I have a lot of improving to do, I imagined numerous ways I could improve the fights, the general build up and how the characters express themselves. My planning and story lining can definitely use some work.

When I was writing the story I just let my mind go and that was the path Calla ended up taking. When I reached the end however, I realised what Calla's future with Hylee would become. She became so dependent on her, to the exclusion of everything else. Hylee, being possessive as she is, inadvertently influenced the link, and would forever cage the much weaker Calla and Calla would find her sole joy in Hylee.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

The way I envisage their future lives is Calla being akin to a decorated prisoner who is unable to leave an abusive Hylee, because she finds happiness even in that abuse. And it would mostly be solitude, Hylee cutting Calla off from any connection to prevent her forming bonds that could draw her from Hylee. I may look to expand the story in the future, but I'd want to look more into how dependancy in abusive relationships develop so that I could incorporate it.

Anyway, thanks for reading. If you enjoyed it great, if not, well I'll try and do better next time.

Bye for now.
