Magnum pulled his wrist from Tanna’s hand. He took a closer look at the instrument at his wrist, his “oath”.
“What happened to the Oath? Did you do this?”
“No. This Oath thing is just stupid. Its the same thing as her father used earlier. Nothing special.” Askel said.
“This is… This is Amazing!” Darwin said, “More than turning black. One of the dots was filled up by a black color!”
“This means you fulfilled one of the tasks! You got Cerbie!” Tanna said jumping.
“My theory about the Oath is correct! The oath is some kind of an instrument! Not made by Gods! I can probably make something close to it! But how will I confirm the other two tasks? Hmmm… Yes, it's more complicated than I thought… Now that I think about it.” Darwin said.
“Enough of this! They are getting information from us but we’re not getting something in return!”
Magnum picked up his bracer and wore it. “I have to go now,” he said.
“Okay. But Cerbie has to stay,” Tanna said.
“No.”
Tanna put her hands on her waist, “No? Do you even understand what you’re saying? The people will freak out if they see Cerbie walking around!”
“She’s right...”
Cerberus’ two heads suddenly shrank and turned into a metal necklace around Askel’s head to their surprise.
“Oh? Hmmm.. Yeah… you can do that, I guess,” Tanna said while scratching her head.
Darwin faced the square instrument casually to Magnum, “Okay, what about you? Interesting…”
Tanna pulled the instrument from his father, “oohhh! Okay! You’re gray, but a little bit darker than the Master!” She faced the instrument to Magnum.
“My spirit is gray? Was it because of Cerberus?”
“The dog is the only culprit,” Darwin said, ”our theory is spirit beasts helps us access more spirit energy. On case of the Vicari, the God’s Tower and their special weapons are the conduits. The Don has vast amounts of spirit energy and its because of Talon, the eagle spirit.
“But the Guild Master? You said he's also gray. He also have a dark spirit beast? That old man’s a hypocrite!” Magnum said.
“What we know is he learned accessing his powers from the mountain tribes. But it's a very risky process. This is the reason why no one was able to learn it except for Garza. Yes! Talk to the Master! Maybe he can teach you something,” she said.
“Talk to him? He tried to kill me already. Twice! So no, thank you.”
“If he wanted to kill you. You should be dead already! Ahahaha!” she said.
“Let’s get out here human!”
“Yeah, you’re right. Let’s get out of this town now and not wait for the Don to come back. He might order his eagle grab you again.”
“Good! Let’s go!”
“I’ll go now. Thank you for getting Cerberus,” Magnum walked out of the room.
“Wait! Let’s talk more! I want to know what Cerberus can do!” Darwin said following him but Tanna pulled him.
“Let him rest Father! And bath! He stinks! Don’t worry, I already know his abilities. His strength, speed, and stamina increased! But most of all, Conjuration! Just like the Towers!”
“That woman was observing us all along!” Askel said.

“Yeah, I’ll be more careful with her next time. But it looks like they already know those things. We just helped them confirm it. The Master is the one with knowledge about Dark Spirits that I don't know. I may need to talk to him at some point.”
“There is no need human! I can teach you all that you need to know!”
“Hmm.. right… Let's get out of here.”
The town was alive as ever when Magnum went out. The armor seller saw him wearing the armor he bought and approached him.
“Hey! The color changed! What happened?” he said gawking all around him.
“The color was ugly so I changed it!” Askel said.
“Someone changed it for me,” Magnum said.
“Someone? But what did that person use? I need to know because the dyes on the market don’t work on it.”
“Ahh sorry, I don’t know!” Magnum continued his walk but the armor seller followed.
“Where can I find this person?”
“In the desert.”
“What?” the man stopped following in confusion.
“Ahahaha! He-he his confused!” Bunta said.
“Let him be! Bahaha!” Askel said.
Magnum passed by all the stores and reached the Inn.
“Oh no! I haven’t paid yet!”
He entered the building and was greeted with a smile by the attendant.
“Welcome back Sir Magnum! I’m glad to see you again,” he bowed.
“How much do I owe you?”
“Ah! Don’t worry, we can talk about it after you get some rest. I am sure you are tired.”
“Human, just run off and not pay 'em!”
The attendant sat down and took a good look at Cerberus, “And you have a puppy? Wow! It's pure black. No worries, you can bring it to your room.”
“Thank you. I’ll pay you later then,” he said.
###
“Get ready! We leave immediately! Rendezvous at the Wall Drop,” Garza said from the Masters dojo. He was talking to ten mercs at least and they quickly dispersed as soon as he was done talking.
Tanna walked in, “Hey! What’s happening Garza? I have exciting news! Its Magnum! He’s…”
“I have a much more exciting news,” he said.
“Exciting? But the look of your squad says otherwise. What’s happening?”
“The witch, we found her! I mean, the Don found her!”
“The WITCH? I’m going to!”
“No, you need to be here and guard the town.”
“No! I’m going to kill her!”
The Guild Master entered the room wearing a red kimono, “You and I will be staying here to protect the town, Tanna.”
“Your squad won’t be enough!”
“The Don is with us so don’t worry. We will meet with him there.”
“But!” she clenched both her fist and took a slow and deep breath. She then turned and went out.
“Do not fail Garza. And watch out for the Don,” the Master said.
“Yes, Master. We will try bring her here alive but if that proved to be difficult then I will end her.
“Okay then, strike true like a talon!” The Master walked to the center of his dojo and sat down as Garza bowed down and closed the door.

“Ahh! It feels good to be clean!” Magnum in his normal clothes sat on the bed.
“Yes! You finally stopped stinking!”
“You should also take a bath. You also stink.”
“Bath? No! It's for losers!”
“Hmmm… I think it's good for us to have a bath sometimes Askel,” Carzi said.
“Yes! Yes Carzi, now you go shower yourself!”
“Wait what’s that? I’m hearing something…” Askel said.
Magnum looked at the window and saw several mercenaries in full battle gear started to gather on the southern walls.
“It's a peaceful night. What is it this time? We just killed an army of demon dragons!” Magnum said.
“Hmmm… interesting…”
“What is it Askel?”
“They are talking about a witch. The one who has been sending the plague to this town was a witch and they finally found where she was hiding.”
“A WITCH!” Magnum’s body exploded with emotion. He opened his bag and took the witche’s compass. It was still pointing in the same direction, southwest.
“Looks like you hate this witch so much! Bahahaha!” Askel said.
He changed to his leather armor, took his gunblade and jumped out of the window.
“Want me to conjure your armor?”
“Not now. Also, you should eat along the way. I want to be in full power when I see this witch again.”
“Hey Magnum!” Garza was walking behind him, “You leaving now?”
“No yet. I’m going with you to kill that witch!”
