Sheng Fei and Li Xiu slept soundly and when they woke up, Sheng Fei laid out his plan.
Li Xiu was still in control of her body until Sheng Fei was needed.
Combat would be left up to him and Li Xiu would observe in order to learn.
Sheng Fei had set up back plans if he was ever hunted or cut off from Black Phoenix resources.
They would go and obtain the things he thought they would need most in order to take on Black Phoenix.
Li Xiu was not as fast or as strong as Sheng Fei had been, so he thought they needed a lot of preparation.
Li Xiu would need years of training in order to even hope to reach Sheng Fei’s prowess.
It was a good thing that the experience was with Sheng Fei, now they needed to balance the upcoming fights.
Sheng Fei was impatient and didn’t want to take time to train up Li Xiu’s body and decided to just take some shortcuts.
He had spent a lot of resources devoted to combat technology in the past and it was time to reap the benefits.
But first, they needed money to get to the first location Sheng Fei had in mind.
All of the secret and back up cash Sheng Fei had been all physical in nature.
Any accounts that could be used through the internet had been Black Phoenix affiliated.
As a result, Sheng Fei made Li Xiu go visit her boyfriend’s apartment where she had been staying.
(I got this, if you confront him he might draw sympathy from you)
Sheng Fei said to Li Xiu
(You make it sound like you’ll kill him!)
(So, I guess that’s off the table then?)
(DO NOTHING OF THE SORT!)
(It was a joke, I wasn’t planning on ending him. But he did betray you, if you don’t accept that he will betray again later. And
I won’t let come to pass do you understand?)
(Just don’t do anything rash)
Sheng Fei agreed and took control for this one.
BOOM
The door went flying back as Sheng Fei kicked it in.
As they walked in angrily, they saw Li Xiu’s boyfriend wide eyed and scared on the couch.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“URSULA! You’re safe” Li Xiu’s boyfriend Matthew exclaimed.
“NO THANKS TO YOU! YOU COWARD!”
“Look I . . I’m sorry but I got scared and they were going to kill me”
Matthew said as he tried desperately to explain himself.
“They were going to make me work in a brothel!”
“Yeah I’m sorry, I . . it won’t happen again I promise”
“It won’t happen again? It shouldn’t have happened in the first place! How stupid did you have to be to deal in someone
else’s . . . wait a minute. Why did nothing happen to you?”
“W. . What do you mean?”
Sheng Fei was suspicious of Matthew and it didn’t help that he was starting to sweat bullets.
“It was YOU wasn’t it? You sold h-me out to those thugs! Usually people like them would make examples out of people like
you by now”
Li Xiu was dumbfounded, she couldn’t believe that her boyfriend would do something like this.
He was someone she trusted and even loved at one point.
She steeled herself further and decided that if Sheng Fei wanted to kill him she wouldn’t stop him at this point.
At this point, Matthew was groveling at their feet and begging for forgiveness.
“Please forgive me, PLEASE!”
“You want forgiveness?”
Sheng Fei said slowly and calmly.
Matthew felt a small glimmer of hope as a smile appeared on Ursula’s face.
She got close to him but then . . .
BAM
Sheng Fei had punched Matthew in the face.
Matthew dropped to the floor, clutching his nose.
“AAAGH!”
Sheng Fei looked around and saw a stack of cash on a table.
“Consider us even” Sheng Fei said as they took the cash.
“W-where are you going?”
“Away from you, I’m done! Don’t bother trying to contact me”
Sheng Fei was almost out the door when Matthew made one last plea.
“WAIT! You can’t leave me like this! I-I You have nowhere to go without me! PLEASE!”
Sheng Fei and Li Xiu both ignored his cries and walked in to the street.
(Alright now we need to arm ourselves)
(How?)
(When I was in charge, I had some R&D projects stored at an armory in a small town. They were either failures or stalled
research. I did hide some interesting pieces among them though. We’re going to raid it and take whatever we find. But first
we need money)
With that, Sheng Fei made them get on a plane to Zurich, Switzerland.
----------------------------------------
Before Li Xiu knew it, they were walking in to a heavily fortified building.
“Can I help you miss?”
A stern looking asked as they walked in to the building.
Sheng Fei forced Li Xiu to smile and he took the lead.
“Yes, I’m here to access an account”
The man looked over Li Xiu suspiciously as she looked out of place here.
A few of the guards were also suspicious too and were walking over.
The man waved them back and maintained a professional attitude.
“Of course, provided you have the correct account number and the associated password”
Sheng Fei gave the man both numbers and the man’s eyes widened.
“Who-“
“I’m the true heir and that is all you need to know. Can you please show me to my vault now?”
The man nodded and started to lead them further inside.
Li Xiu was lead to a giant wall where two small keyholes stood alone on the giant gray wall.
Sheng Fei took out a key and inserted it in to the lock and the man placed his key in as well.
Li Xiu was surprised, before they left for Switzerland Sheng Fei drew up a key and had it quickly made to spec.
Sheng Fei also mentioned that Black Phoenix did not know about this money.
It amazed her that he would have such complex and convoluted plans.
There were numerous gold bars that filled the vault.
Sheng Fei gathered what he thought looked like a good amount and called the man back.
“Tell the bank I want $10 million deposited in to a new account and put it under the name Sheng Xiu. Also, I want a new
lock and password for this vault”
The man nodded and went to carry out Sheng Fei’s request.
(You just have 10 million lying around?)
(This isn’t technically mine. There was another organization once, they were similar to our clan. In the end things didn’t
work out and I destroyed them. It took some work but I managed to transport the gold they had here without any Black
Phoenix contacts)
(That man looked surprised and I don’t think this was the most money they’ve seen)
( . . . well I guess I was one of the more infamous clients then. This is blood money after all. From now on, you’re Sheng
Xiu, the true heir to Sheng Fei. Got it?)
(Of course)
