Extermination Protocol

Steven and Price both jumped out and ambushed the two rocket grunts and their growlithe. The rocket goons were caught off guard and only yelled "Defend!" before getting enveloped by confusions from prince and shortly after a beating from Steven for the two rocket goons. These two were wreaking havoc on the ecosystem here, setting the trees on fire, forcefully evicting the pokemon out of this area, and capturing the stronger pokemon that stood against them and didn't flee the area. Steven thought nothing of beating these two goons and thought they deserved more than what he could give them. After getting the two other defeated growlithe in their pokeballs, Steven grabbed water from a nearby river and splashed it on one of the grunts.

'Dahhh!' The rocket became conscious again after the water hit his face, waking up suddenly and taking gasping breaths. Steven walked forward and put th note in front of his face, the note simply read,' Why are you here?' The team rocket goon looked at the note after calming himself and laughed out loud,"HAHA!! Why would I ever tell a little kid our plans? HAHA!" After he said this steven smiled, as this would be the first time he got to properly tort-, no investigate someone.

Steven thought to Prince standing next to him,'Break his right leg'. Right after Princ unleashed his psychic energy on the goon and twisted the goons leg at the knee, shattering the bones in his right leg. The grunt screamed out in pain and very quickly passed out again. Right as he was about to throw another bucket to wake up the goon again to continue he noticed that he recognized this goons face! This was the first goon that he punched in his first encounter with team rocket! Steven hesitated on whether questioning these goons about how they are out of prison that was specially arranged by the elite 4 but knew that lance was probably already aware and trying to remedy this situation. Steven shook his head in disgust, thinking to himself ' you'd think that after getting beat up once he'd quit but I guess people don't change easily'

Steven threw another water bucket on the goon, once waking him up and he was panting in pain. Steven got Prince to establish a connection in the mans mind and thought to him,'You have one more shot or i break the other leg. Why are you here?!' he screamed in the goons mind.

The goon screamed in fear from hearing a voice in his head and fearing this young man breaking any other bones quickly yelled out,"I'm sorry!! Please don't break any more of my bones! I can't handle pain! Look man, I'm just following orders in truth, we were supposed to come to this area further in the forest and evict the pokemon that were there, apparently there's some mystic treasure according to the chairman of our organization, but us goons don't know what the treasure is, so if we find anything weird we report it to the high command!'

Steven thought about this for a moment and then looked at the goon and thought to him,'Wait, this doesn't explain the severely injured scyther that ran across my party earlier, can you explain that?'

The grunt looked at steven and said out loud to him,"Yes! I can explain! We were in the core earlier today and we started to meet resistance from the local wildlife, this was to be expected as the core was populated by the most powerful pokemon, but with our fire types and some spearow lent to us by the other rocket goons we were able to get most of the pokemon out of the area. That was when a scyther and a bunch of other bug pokemon like beautifly and beedrill attacked us in an ambush! They killed three pokemon and 2 of our human members before we finally adjusted to the situation. After we got a handle of our forces, we returned fire and severely injured alot of the pokemon in the area. The only problem was that we had very specific orders, which was to try to evict with force but not to injure or kill if we could, only if the pokemon started fighting back and injuring or killing us could we do the same back to them. Now that members had died, were locked in a stalemate war with the bugs in the forest, they are grouping up and poisoning and paralyzing our members and killing them and we are in turn setting a lot of them on fire and-" the grunt had been saying all of this with confidence and suddenly he stopped talking because steven had stabbed him in his gut! He had cupped his hand and formed some sort of energy in his hand while the grunt was talking, then he quickly stabbed his hand into the goons stomach. He was killing this goon.

Steven looked at the man in disdain as the man let out slow gasps for air, laying on the ground in immense pain, trying to breath and holding his stomach so his guts didn't fall out. Steven looked at him and thought into his head,'Because you have given me information I have not immediately pierced your heart, if you survive this, become a good person, stop this shameless villainy! As for the rest of your brothers in the forest, they will soon come to no longer exist in this world. If you do survive, tell your higherups that I am coming for them too.' After he finished this thought to the man he cut off the mental connection to the man. He turned towards the other still fainted goons and realized that this goon was also another goon from last time. Steven guessed that all the goons he captured last time were free, either they escaped/freed by team rocket, or they managed to escape from the local forces. Either way, just this thought solidified the thoughts in stevens mind. 'I'm done. I beat them and they come back stronger, to commit worse acts then before. Well, I am done. I think I'll just kill them and be done with it. I will stop this gruesome cycle.' Stevens thought had started to get dangerous and unknowingly he started powering up his aura, as he thought about what the goon were doing here, killing innocent pokemon that are only trying to save their homes and way of life, he got angry. Steven screamed out in anger in his mind, and suddenly he formed all the energy in body into his fist and kept putting more and more energy into his fist, then he formed his fist into a flat hand. His hand was mimicking a blade, and as more energy poured into his hand he could see that his aura was slowly forming a blade.

Steven screamed out for the first time in his life, Using the anger in his heart to speak for the first time ever,"Raaaghhh!!!!" The small aura blade suddenly grew three times in size and was the size of an actual sword. Steven then turned to the unconscious second grunt and sliced down with his hand, using his aura blade to cut down on the mans neck, chopping off his head and instantly killing him. Steven stood up and let the energy in his hand disperse back into his body and core and started breathing normally again, Steven had now advanced into the third part of the first chapter and this aura blade wasn't very strong but stevens willpower to kill the man had pushed him past his usual limits and he had exerted a tremendous amount of will and force to achieve his goal. Steven turned toward his three pokemon and the Scyther who had followed them and had been watching them up until this point. He thought to them,'My friends, it is time. I have finally made up my mind, from this point onward I am officially initiating the extermination protocol.'

–45 days later–

Scyther used a wing attack on the last growlithe in the area and finally took a breather. Steven looked on with pride as his methods of training pokemon had not weakened in the slightest. While traveling to the core the scyther had followed them, not really having anything else it could do. Steven allowed this as this scyther was the top dog of the area and having her around would make working with local pokemon easier. Steven hadn't thought about adding the scyther to his team but after five days of seeing the gruesome morning training that steven and his pokemon did before going out and slaughtering more rocket goons had filled the scyther will a lot of joy and she had asked if steven could help her get stronger as well. She said she wanted to protect those under her 'with the same power as prince'. When she had told Steven this he had laughed as it was obvious from that point on that this scyther envied and was a fangirl of the way prince fought. As she started training with steven and his pokemon, Steven was able to see that the Scyther was trying to mimic the fighting style of prince. Steven knew that if she could understand what prince was doing and mimic it she could be a very powerful ally in the team. With her joining the team he was able to get a good read on her power and as she trained her fighting abilities soared. Steven once again proved that he could train pokemon really well as even though this scyther was very battle intelligent she couldn't learn things like cultivating energy very well. What was truly eye opening was after steven started teaching her to cultivate her energy she had not been able to understand it. He had gotten Prince to do a tutorial session with her and after he explained the importance of energy cultivation she finally was able to grasp the different energies in her body.

This was another factor that steven very quickly solved with the help of prince once more. Because pokemon later down the line in the pokemon series had different movesets their were moves that pokemon could learn earlier in later generations but right now the world he was in didn't know that and he had to figure out how to unlock these different energies earlier or just openly create them like with fairy energy by himself. Luckily the scyther seemed to be very adept at grasping hard topics and training techniques so she learned very quickly and advanced very quickly in strength. This helped scyther catch up relatively quickly in terms of strength and was able to pack quite the force behind her attacks. One of the moves that he knew scyther learns earlier in generation 5 and onward is wing attack. Instead of learning it at around lvl 27 in later generations it was changed to lvl 12, a massive jump in power to help it compete in the earlier routes up to about lvl 40. It wasn't until scizor came into existence in generation 4 that scyther started becoming a 'competitive' pokemon. The scyther had actually just learned wing attack a couple of days ago after many days of trying to grasp it, luckily after seeing all the spearow do it, she was able to grasp the move more easily. The next thing Steven was trying to teach her was double team, he knew scyther would learn this around lvl 16 and based on her just learning wing attack she was probably sitting at or around mid lvl 12. She was only a level or 2 lower than rest of his team, so she was every right to be proud of herself.

She also was getting really good with her new scythes. Because her blades were jagged and chipped it created a very sinister looking broken blade effect that puts fear in a lot of enemies. Although this was a disadvantage, the scyther took it in stride and sharpened all the jagged edges so that no matter how the blade hit you it would do serious damage. Right now they were standing in the core and they had just killed off another wave of goons. About three days ago they reached the center of the forest and they ran across a bunch of team rocket goons searching over the giant tree in the middle of the forest, apparently like the scyther said this tree contained something and these researchers and goons were trying to get whatever it was out of the tree. Steven and his team had stopped and gathered around 50 pokemon who very strong in this forest and attacked the rockets who numbered around 300. After defeating half of them and the rest of them fled, while steven and his team setup camp and had tabulated that their loss count was 28 pokemon. They had gained an advantage in getting the tree secured and wiping out half the rockets present but they too had suffered heavy casualties. They then fortified the tree with trenches and sharpened sticks as well as surveillance of the area. Then the goons attacked the campsite almost every morning and retreated at night when they couldn't handle it anymore. Currently only stevens team and 12 of the original 50. Steven was covered in blood, he was constantly soaked in it from all the killing and now with the constant attacks he didn't even have time to sleep for more than an hour or two much less bathe.

Steven walked up to the scyther and thought to her,'Scyther, now you have to tell me. We are suffering too many losses and we cannot keep this up anymore. You need to tell me what is in this tree!'. He yelled this into scythers mind and scyther paused and thought to herself for a moment while wiping her blades.

'Human steven I can do it, but only under one condition' the scyther said seriously

Steven thought back to her,'Tell me! I will do it!'

'Fight me in 1 on 1 combat.' Was all scyther said in response

Steven wasted no time and gathered large amounts of energy into his fists and charged at the scyther trying to catch her with his punch. Scyther backed away, surprised by the sudden speed from Steven, he had never moved this fast in training! Steven sped himself even further by sending his aura energy into his legs and increasing the muscle quality and allowing him to run faster and have greater flexibility. Steven stomped the ground and rushed towards her even faster than before, punching forward with a left jab. Scyther swung her body around and upright once more and swung out her scythe as Steven's head, steven only barely moved his head to the left a bit making the scythe miss him by mere millimeters. This shocked scyther as steven purposefully only dodged just enough to make her miss and nothing more, this was a master she was fighting! The continued to trade jabs and scythe chops and there was no clear winner, and the other pokemon who had also finished fighting came over to see who would win this battle. They didn't know why the two heroes were fighting but obviously there was a reason, perhaps they had both realized something in the fight just now and they wanted to test it out on each other. They kept fighting and exchanging blows, occasionally getting glancing shots on each other, both of them constantly refining their techniques as they fought. Steven punched out harder with his jab to add more force than the last punch, while scyther dodged stevens punch tighter than the last, with stevens punch coming within a foot of scyther. Finally after about 10 minutes of fighting steven was finally able to outspeed scythers reflexes and was to get a clean gut punch with his right hand!

Scyther fell to the ground and gasped for air while Steven watched over her with a look of approval. Scyther caught her breath and thought to him,'Human steven, I have seen your kindness, generosity and convictions in these last couple of days. You have let me grow stronger alongside you and so I have grown to a much better level than before. I have the confidence to protect this jungle from those rocket goons but I cannot do this forever, please allow me to follow you on your journey to top my lord!'

Everyone stopped talking and stared at the queen of the forest, who was taking a knee and submitting to steven, unfortunately steven and prince had never turned off the mass telepathic communication among the other pokemon so they had just heard her say all of this. No one dared make a sound as they waited for Steven's response. 'Of course, welcome aboard duchess!"

'I accept this name on behalf of the lord! Thank you for your generosity!' She thought back to him. All the bug pokemon in the area all cried out in unison and cheers of gratitude flowed out, this was a joyous occasion, the queen has found a suitable trainer. This was very rare and normally the royalty of this forest never left, so her getting this opportunity meant that she had recognized steven as someone worth following, not someone who simply oppressed her into becoming theirs. Steven had earned her respect with his strength, his strategies and his character that was full of compassion for her brethren of the forest. Scyther quickly pulled steve over to the tree and stood in front of a particular section of bark on the tree. She started whistling a tune and it was melody that sounded sweet and reminiscent of childhood nostalgia. Steven listened on as the tree started to glow and faint green light slowly poured out of it. Sycther stopped whistling the tune and thought loudly while waving her arms in circular motion,'Great Spirit Tree! The time has come, the passing of the moor is imminent and we scatter, reveal thyself for the grand goodness of the earth!' Suddenly as soon as she stopped talking to the tree in her mind the entire area they were in started to rumble rhythmically. Suddenly the bark in front of scyther started to glow and the a square portion of the tree turned a dark green colour and with a sudden "pop!" fell out of the tree and into duchess's hands. She turned around and handed it to him and thought,'This is a secret plate that was hidden in this tree by a powerful being, it is the secret of every king or queen of the forest and it must be kept secret from everyone. I wish for you to carry it so i may make sure of its safety from now on!'

Steven took the plate from duchess and froze on the spot as he looked at what was in his hands. This was [Bug Plate] from the plates of arceus set! Team rocket is trying to summon god. Steven thanked himself secretly that they did not get this plate and that he acquired it instead. This was one of the item sets that you had to get 1 of a plate from every type to summon arceus, the god of pokemon. Steven had no idea why team rocket was trying to summon arceus or how they knew of the plates existence in this giant tree in the first place.

Steven thanked duchess and thought to her,'Ok! We've held on for long enough, lets heal everyone up and run the rest of the way to pewter! We should be able to call Lance and authorities in about 2 days! Lets move!' Steven quickly healed his 4 pokemon and some of the more injured pokemon on his side that were really injured and after saying their goodbyes the five of them started running at full speed towards pewter. With their speeds the should reach pewter within 2 days.

==2 days later==

Steven and his pokemon finally ran out of the forest into a small clearing and they could finally see pewter city. They were all exhausted from the constant running and they could finally see the small city off in the distance. They ran faster than they had entire time here and quickly got up to the main gate. As soon as the reached the main gate, stevens pokegear went off, showing that he now had signal again. As soon as he heard that he whipped out his pokegear and pressed the calling function. He directly called lance on his personal phone number. The phone ringed 2 times before lance picked up and said,"My boy are you in trouble?"

Steven realized this wouldn't work and ran up to a nearby person and got their attention. They quickly wrote about the emergency on the piece of paper and that he need him to tell the man on the phone that immediately! The man looked at the note and seriously relaid the information on the note as well telling lance that they were in front of the pewter city gate. Then the man holding the phone looked at steven covered in blood and said,"Also i don't know who this but this kid is covered in head to toe in blood." Lance thanked the man and asked him to hand the phone over to steven again. Steven took the phone and lance said,"Hold on steven give me 30 minutes!"
