Vanity, battered, arrived its plating armor beaten and torn, prepared for docking procedures with the station. The base’s repair team made immediate work to repair the damage, restocking any faulty equipment at a very effective rate. As Vanity slowly moved into place of the docking area.

Aboard the space station in the meeting boardroom the Commander entered alongside the captain waiting for the digital screen to appear. The crooked face of a high-ranking council member appeared, sporting grey-white hair that comes with age but a gentleman of English nature. Dean spoke first. “Admiral... Arthur.” The Admiral sighs with bitter concern. “I've…- “The man pauses follow by a few minor disappointing grunts. “Received your report, looked it over with the rest of the council, their motioning to distribute funding to build a fleet. But unfortunately, I am having difficulty deciding who shall lead said fleet. These requests are not to be taken lightly you understand. No doubt once the proposal is in effect our efforts from colonising will shift to concentrate on the war front, albeit in that sector. Regardless we will need to pull support from our existing allies.” The admiral pauses.

Dean replied. “We understand. and very much appreciate any aid or resources that can be offered on the matter.” Blake waited patiently for an opening. “The station's staff informed us Vanity has been restocked ready to undock at your command.” Dean replies. “Have engineering inform me when restocking aboard is finished. "Aye sir".

After furthermore exoring of the station Dean and Blake return to their ship to get underway. From the station’s point of view, Vanity left the docking clamps and slowly reversed out with a cinematic feel to its exit. But undoubtedly very reduced speeds. Dean ponders to himself, “why must the undocking’s procedure keep us dawdling this long?”
