CHAPTER 10

Over the far side of the sector on the medieval front of Spatium, the mages resided deep within the castle; its windows were carved with traditional stained-glass, showing the past, present, of human cultural history. The main wizards task force approached their lich, that necromancer, whom now ponders his mystic orb. They bowed before his reverence. The lich sat on his exquisite throne conversing with what the mystic globe manifested to him.

“Thee leader of earth, the ones who claim science as a way of life, doth approacheth, thee twilight of war is upon us all, prepare thine self.” Thus, the Lich spoke in a gritty raspier voice. The mages lift themselves with grace chanting in union. “In the name of the necromancer, it shall be done.” They exited soon afterwards towards the gardens.

A pair of gargantuan doors of wooden decree split open as the group reconvened in the front courtyard. They scanned the area, watching as their brethrens practiced all worldly types of assorted magic and incantations, some using grimoires, others channelling their mana into numerous hexes, curses and symbolic circles. Furthermore, the group proceeded to the outskirts of the village where weaker magic was still saturated but not considered as advanced for many of its people. From afar they looked up to the castle walls as the strongest occultists, wizards and warlocks stood fierce pouring their manna into a collective bubble with enough force to repel a torpedo for instant, the kingdom of Sortiārius. in all its magnificent splendor.

The orb is spun again with the mist clearing, showing a different vision, the fleet that is about to encounter their foes above the planet of magic. Every magician was alerted to their posts preparing for the arrival of the war on science.
