After all the player logged out, Joe started to update a few new rules to the game. He thought that if the player can be teleported inside the cave when they are logged out, why not teleported them back when they died? As long as their corpse is complete, he can heal them in a matter of seconds. Of course, he will be drained to death if each player died a few times fro a day.
And he knew the player would do many stupid things without proper limitation on death. Maybe decrease their exp stored? He looks at countless lifeless body inside the cave doing meditation. The body still assimilating the spirit strand or free attributes. Right, he could charge them money too. As long as their corpse is transported here, they can't hide their money from him.
Joe nodded, pleased with his growing 'game'. He will continue to experiment with the player and tailor the game according to the player's taste. A good online game will always be updated no matter how perfect the game is for the player. He exits the pendant and stretches his body. Right now, he needs to control the main villager.
...
"Master" Richard bowed his body to Joe with reverence. Joe not only controls his soul but brainwashed him a few times too. It doesn't matter to damage his soul a little, because the controlled soul growth will be stagnated anyway.
"Good. How is the progress of rebuilding Newbie Village?" Joe asked him. He needs to know which buildings are built and which aren't.
"The Blacksmith, the Apothecary, and the Village Hall already been built," Richard answered.
"Prioritize building Inn, Restaurant, and Tailor next. Oh, also build Training Hall and free up some space at the center of the Village."
"Understood, master!" Richard answered and bowed. Joe nodded and continue to control the soul of another important villager and gave them assignments each.

Maria Silva sat in front of her computer. She put down the invitation card before the keyboard as he stared at the clock.
They agreed to log in at the same time at 9 PM tonight. She just needs to wait for another minute or so.
"Ptui... Aren't they too much? Exaggerating things so much, 100% reality simulated? As if I would believe such marketing slogan."
"And those guild masters, can't they use their brain a bit? Are they gonna ditch their effort inside Overlord for an unknown VR game?"
Maria was exasperated the more he thinks about her effort to catch up with the top player. Because she late to join the game, she needs tons of money to purchase strong equipment for her and guild members.
Never in her dream one day she will see her effort going to be wasted.
"If this game is not as good as they described, I'm gonna persuade the remaining guild masters to stay in Overlord and discredit this game..."
Time is ticking and the appointment time has arrived. Maria calmed his nerve and ready to enter the game. She closed her eyes and enter deep sleep.
...
She opened her eyes and can't see anything because is so dark.
She frowned and thinking 'I knew that they are pranking me! There is no way a 100MB game would be as great as described! Maybe they fall into a prank and lied to us so we will fall in one too!'
But before she exits the game, a pop-up window appears in front of her.

"Wow, a mini update!" Gazelle exclaimed. This update was welcomed by the player. It shows that the developer of this game cared about their complaint and suggestion!
At the same time, Blazing Sun logged in while holding a wooden box. He looked around and found that so many players starting at him.
Strangely enough, they looked disappointed and stop looking at him.
"Umm, what all of you guys doing here?" He asked one of the players.
"We are waiting for our guild master and other upper echelons. They said they will join the game at this time."
"But, they are streamers, right? I recognized a few of them. Aren't they have no guild?" Blazing Sun pointed at few streamers standing nonchalantly in the distance.
"Them? They said they want to record the new player's dumbfounded face when they enter Eternal Online for the first time" the player shrugged.
Blazing Sun shook his head and lamented those guild master misfortune. Those silly dumbfounded face compilation would haunt them in the future.
He then searches for a secluded place to open the wooden box. After he found one, he quickly opens the wooden box and saw a rapier inside the box.
He sighed in relief, tries to pick up the rapier. As soon as he picked the rapier up, a ding sound heard inside his head.
Ding!

Blazing Sun startled, but he soon excited. He got a Hidden Mission!
"But why the rewards Unknown though? Oh right, this game is pretty dynamic. I need to ask shat are the rewards from the blade owner."
Blazing Sun contemplate. He can't use the blade until he reaches Tier-1 Super, and he can't sell it in the foreseeable future because the player is still poor.
Maybe, in the future when he reaches Tier-1 Super, he finds a stronger weapon then?
He made up his mind. He will return this blade to its rightful owner, as long as the reward is worth the trouble.

March Rain arrived at the Beginner Village. She was shocked beyond belief when she arrived at this game for the first time.
This game is so realistic! There is no way this game would not become popular! I need to move to this game so I can build my advantage over the top-ranked player!
She already forgot his intention to discredit this game as soon as she enters the game. She rendezvous with her guild members and forms a party.
"Guild master, let's do move brick quest. After that, we can explore and hunt monsters outside the village" her Level 4 guild member that joins yesterday said to her.
"Why do I need to do those troublesome quests though? We can skip it and hunt the monsters right away!" March Rain waved her hand.
"Ummm, that's not it, guild master. The quest is mandatory, and if we failed to do the moving brick quest for 5 days, our invitation will be revoked and our account will be erased. And there are only 6 days left." The guild member explained.
"Really?!" She then checks the main quest content and found that was true.
"What are waiting for, then? Let's move the bricks!" She then ran away, afraid that none of the rented carts was left for her.
Seeing this, the other newly joined guild member look at each other and started running. The guild member that joined yesterday sighed and shook his head.
"This game is truly terrifying, able to make that stubborn guild master behave..."
The same sight can be seen at another place, they rushed to the Village Hall to receive the moving brick quest.
Few guild masters that sent more than 2 members to test the water rejoiced, they have the advantage to go leveling in smaller numbers, thus more exp for each party member
But those who just sent 1 of their guild member lamented their cowardice. If they just dare to gamble a little bit and send 2 of their member, they will have an advantage over the other guild.
But they didn't linger inside their regret any longer and have one thing inside their mind right now. They need to ditch that shitty Overlord game and build as much advantage as they can!
