“Robert, don't forget what I taught you. You’re our best boxer in E.C.G. You can and you will win.” His grandfather told him from the ropes.
“Robert, we just want you to do your best and we know your best. Show him that you are better.” Joseph told him
“Kick his ass, big guy,” Andrew said slapping his back.
Robert walked forward meeting Buck in the middle. The referee stood between them and said “I want a good clean fight you hear me?” They both nodded “Good touch gloves and then you can start when you hear the bell.” They touched gloves and took their stances. Robert dropped his hands to his waist, putting his left foot forward, While Buck put his hands up to his nose but left some space between his nose and gloves, he tucked his elbows to his stomach and lowered his body slightly while leaning forward.
The bell rang and Robert quickly jumped backward, but Buck saw this coming and charged forward keeping his gloves at the same height they were when they took their stances. Robert kept dashing back but slammed into the red corner, Buck slammed into him pushing him into the corner, and started to unleash a flurry of body blows. Robert tried to get Buck off of him, but his body wasn’t responding. Buck Stopped hitting Roberts lower body and came up lighting fast with an uppercut. Robert had no time to react so all he could do was clench his teeth and hope he wouldn’t be knocked out by the power of the uppercut. The uppercut made solid contact.
Robert’s eyes began to close as his body fell limp. “What happened? Why is everything dark? Where am I?” He thought to himself Robert stood in a black void he couldn’t feel or hear anything, but he could see something in the distance. A light, a very small light, he began to walk towards it, when he got closer he realized the light was somebody, but he couldn’t make out who it was. The light began to run from him, Robert swiftly ran after it slowly but surely catching up.
Robert started to slow down out of breath. The figure started to get further and further away. He was starting to give up until he felt something touch his back. He turned his head around to see Sully’s hand on his back, Coby, Andrew, Joseph, Nathan, His grandfather, and his father standing behind him.
“You can’t lose here big bro!” Sully told him with a smile on his face and then pushed Robert. Robert woke up to the referee counting down, it was almost the ten count but Robert stood up on the number nine. He could feel blood leaking from his lips, he could taste it too, it tasted like copper. He turned his head to the stands and he could see Coby and Sully screaming at him. He was unable to hear, his head hurt like hell, he felt dizzy and the ref walked over and asked.
“Are you able to go on?” Robert turned to his grandfather who was in the corner behind him. His gaze was as hot as hell itself. Joseph and Andrew were shouting at Mike but he wasn’t listening to them. He nodded to Robert giving him the ok to continue.
“Yeah, I’m good,” Robert told him. The ref nodded and gave the signal that the match was still on. Robert got back into his stance and began to bounce up and down, Buck Brought his guard to his chin and dropped low again ready to charge. The bell rang before they could go back at it again. Robert stopped bouncing and walked over to his corner. He sat down and Andrew took out Robert's mouth guard and made him swish some water around in his mouth to get rid of the blood.
“You alright Robert?” Andrew asked, Robert nodded and spat the water into a bucket.
“Listen good Robert. If you want to win this you got to.” Mike started to tell him but then was cut off.
“Don’t worry about it, I plan on ending it in this next round,” Robert told him. The bell rang again Andrew put the mouth guard in Robert's mouth and Robert stood up Ready for round two. Buck didn’t give Robert any time to get prepared and rushed headlong into him, “Shit he closed the gap fast!” Robert thought. Buck started to hit Robert in the liver rapidly. This time Buck didn’t get to pin Robert's hand to his waist so Robert responded with a swift punch to Buck’s left side of his ribs. Buck didn’t move an inch from the punch so Robert started to repeatedly hit Buck in the ribs.
It had no effect. Buck felt Robert's body go limp so he pulled back to do his uppercut but when he raised his face with his uppercut he was met with Robert's piercing gaze of determination. Robert met Buck’s uppercut with an overhand left. Both attacks landed Buck dashed back, and Robert started to fall towards the ground Buck lightened his guard, and instead of hitting the floor Robert dashed forward this time he closed the gap between them and with his style sense he always keeps his hands low he’s had to work on his speed to make sure that he would always land first, Robert threw a laser fast uppercut.
Buck tried to raise his guard but was too slow and Robert’s uppercut made solid contact with Buck's chin sending him off his feet. Robert then quickly using the same hand he used for the uppercut came down with an overhand right. Buck’s nose took the frontal blow from the overhand right. Blood squirted from Buck’s nose and all over Robert's dark purple glove. He then fired off a straight left from below while pulling his right glove off of Buck’s nose, It connected with Buck’s stomach making him fall to the ground on his hands and knees.
Robert jumped back and the referee began to count. The count only got to 5 before Buck got back up. The ref did some quick checks to ensure Buck could continue with the fight. Buck nodded and the ref backed away. They both took up their stances again and the ref swung his arms down signaling to go ahead. Robert began to hop up and down on the balls of his feet and Buck charged forward. Robert dodged out of the way and he fired off a barrage of quick jabs from his right.

They all landed perfectly since his body was tucked lower to the ground and closer to Robert's waist. Buck quickly turned to face Robert but he had already moved to the opposite side and fired off jabs with his left. Buck stood up and Robert started to hop around his sides firing laser fast jabs to his sides and the front of Buck's body. Buck fired off a jab of his own but Robert pulled his head back bobbing out of the way, he responded with a swift left hook to Buck’s cheek. It made a solid connection making a loud cracking noise.
Buck went back to guarding his face again and this time trying to turn out of Robert's way he charged forward again and grabbed a hold of Robert making him stop his jabs just for a second. The ref after five seconds pulled them apart. Buck put his guard up, dropped low, and was ready to charge again. Buck charged forward and Robert tried to move but the dizziness made him unintentionally go forward, Buck slammed into him but with not enough force to push him into the corner.
Buck started to unleash rapid liver blows to Robert. Robert put a kick stop to it after jumping back after taking five hits. He started to see double and Buck took full advantage of this and charged forward again this time firing off an overhand right, Robert swiftly dodged out of the way but the punch skimmed the side of his cheek.
“COME ON BIG BROTHER FINISH HIM I KNOW YOU CAN!!!” Sully Shouted
“YEAH ROBERT YOU STILL GOT TO BE A PRO!!!” Coby chimed in, Buck's punch connected to the padding of Robert's corner bringing Robert back to his senses with the help of Coby and Sully. Robert dodged back into Buck's corner and began to hop up and down again and waited for Buck to charge. After turning around it took Buck a second to get his breath back he rushed forward again. Robert instead of waiting dodged forward and swung his fist underneath Buck’s arm landing a solid uppercut revealing. Buck’s face Robert then responded with his other fist throwing a swift overhand left.
The punch made a sound that resembled the crack of a whip. Buck’s charging body stumbled backward with no guard anywhere. Robert unleashed a flurry of blows to every part of Buck's open body. Robert then proceeded to hit him with a combination of three jabs from his right to the, then a left hook to his jaw, and finished it with a straight right to his chest. Buck fell backward landing on his back, the ref came over and waved his hands over Buck’s body.
