Days went by, and Kai tried his best to move on from the strange event that had occurred. However, he soon realized that he was not alone in his thoughts. A mark had appeared on the back of his hand, a symbol that he recognized from the figure in the dark world.

Kai began to feel a sense of unease, as if he was being watched. He would often see glimpses of the symbol in the corners of his eyes, and heard whispers in his ears, whispers of an impending doom.

One day, as he was walking home from work, he was approached by a mysterious figure. The figure was dressed in black robes, just like the one from his vision, and held a staff adorned with the same symbol from the mark on his hand.

"You have been chosen, Kai Tanaka," the figure spoke, its voice echoing through the empty streets. "You must come with me, for the ritual must be completed, and the gods must be appeased."

Kai tried to run, but found himself unable to move, just as before. The figure stepped closer, and Kai could see its eyes glowing with a malevolent light.

"I won't go with you," Kai shouted, defiance in his voice. "I won't be a sacrifice."

The figure gave a cruel laugh, and raised its staff, ready to strike. But before it could, a bright light enveloped the street, and Kai found himself transported to the dark world once again.

He was in a large chamber, surrounded by the same stone walls and incense from before. The figure from the street stood in front of him, a triumphant smile on its face.

"The ritual must be completed," the figure spoke, its voice filled with malice. "You will become the sacrifice, and the gods will be appeased."

Kai realized that he was in grave danger, and that he needed to find a way out. He looked around the room, searching for any sign of escape, when he saw a glimmer of light in the distance.

He made a break for it, running towards the light with all his might. He could hear the figure from the street chasing after him, its laughter echoing through the chamber.

But Kai didn't stop, not until he had reached the light and stumbled out into a world unlike any he had ever seen. He was in a strange, dark forest, filled with creatures that he had never seen before.

He realized then that his journey had just begun, and that he would have to fight to survive in this new world.
