"She sucks."
Royce looked at Johannes with a raised brow. "Who, Yuan?"
Johannes rolled his eyes until the whites were showing. "Of course. She got perfect marks on the entrance exam. "
Royce opened up his plastic bottle of water. "So?"
"So, she's clearly trying to compete with me! This isn't acceptable! " Johannes said while glaring at the black-haired Asian girl walking around the cafeteria with her friend.
"She doesn't even know you're here." Royce snorted into his water.
He had become much more comfortable being his true self with Johannes since the night he was sick.
The great night.
They were now outside enjoying lunch at school, and it was just the two of them since the rest had left to grab lunch.
I'm not joking! She literally has that smirk on her face, and it's most definitely saying that she's the best. "
Royce teased, "Sorry, I just needed a minute to comprehend what you just said." he added, "Honestly, I think she's really nice. Plus, she used to be friends with Richard, and he said that Yuan is nice soo..."
Johannes groaned. "Of course you do! That's what they always want you to believe! "
A laugh trickled out of Royce, and he didn't bother holding it in. "You're ridiculous," he muttered with a big smile.
"Whatever." Johannes poked at his salad with his fork. He glanced at Royce. "Want some?"
Royce was taken aback by this. He wasn't very hungry, but given that he had let Deiji eat the last of the cereal, he was beginning to starve. "Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yeah. I'll eat some of it later. " Johannes slid the bowl to Royce, who just sat in front of him. The fork Johannes used was still in it. Royce looked at it.
"You alright with me using your fork?" he asked, barely above a whisper. Johannes looked at him deadpan and reacted as if it was nothing out of the blue.
"Royce. I'm not concerned. Eat up," Johannes assured instead.
Royce hesitated at first but proceeded to eat it anyway. "Thanks," he muttered.
As the two were having their alone time, Yuan and another girl suddenly walked towards them. "You two are my classmates, right? Can we sit next to you guys?" she asked.
"Sure! We have two vacant seats for you two," Royce jumped in before letting Johannes open his mouth, with the knowledge that nothing good would come out of his mouth.
The two thanked Royce and sat right next to Johannes. How fortunate.
"Is this Johannes? The actor? Oh my god, he's short," Yuan's friend whispered, followed by a giggle.
Johannes, who was right next to her, had a murderous-like look on his face.
But before Johannes could start throwing hands, Richard and the others came along.
"I see you four are getting to know each other," Richard observed as he put down his tray on the table and sat next to Yuan.
Cameroon, who was happily smiling as always, plopped right down in a seat next to Royce.
Royce swore he felt someone glaring at him for a second, but shrugged it off and continued eating.
"So, Yuan, Trinity, how was America?" Richard asked the two.
Trinity, Yuan's friend, answered first. "Fun just like the other countries we visited, and we decided to drop by to check out the places here in England. Plus, Yuan heard this school was full of privileged and famous students, so we came here to study for a while."
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
Yuan nodded her agreement, her dark brown hair swaying with her.
"This school is full of hotshots, almost every single one here is rich," Yuan added.
Yuan turned to Royce and Cameroon. "How about you two? What are your parents' jobs?"
Cameroon interrupted Royce and responded first. "I'm the only son of the principal here!" he exclaimed in a proud tone.
"Interesting," Yuan responded, and then turned to Royce. "How about you?" she asked.
Johannes decided to answer for Royce. "His parents aren't here."
Yuan raised a brow. "Oh, where are they? Vacation?"
Cameroon, who still wore a giant smile, responded in a way that Royce could never do.
"Actually, they're sorta like, gone. You know? It's personal. Anyways—" Cameroon said. "But yeah, they're dead," he continued.
Astounded by the news, Yuan didn't ask anymore. Meanwhile, the friend group face palmed at Cameroon for casually revealing that information without hesitation.
"'How about an agreement to tape Cameroon's mouth? Who's in favour of that?" Richard said as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Yes," everyone but Cameroon, Trinity, and Yuan answered in unison without even thinking twice.
"Oh," Cameroon simply responded.
"You seriously need to know when to stop talking," Richard pointed out.
Trinity broke the awkward silence with a chuckle, "What an interesting group," she said, but the awkwardness in her voice remained.
"And I'm the eye candy of the group," Cameroon said proudly.
"More like the eyesore of the group," Johannes corrected, scoffing.
Cameroon huffed quietly while the others laughed quietly at him.
"Whatever," Cameroon responded as he rolled his eyes.

"That's cool, Trinity! You have skills in fighting too?" Cameroon praised.
The group was on their way to their respective classes, with Yuan and Trinity following along with them. The group learned more about the two girls along the way.
"Thank you! My father began training me when I was a young girl," Trinity replied. "But what do you mean by "too"? Who is the other one?" Trinity asked out of curiosity.
"I saw Jonathan fight multiple guys at once! And boy, he was strong, if I have to be honest," Cameroon responded greatly.
Jonathan, Richard, and Johannes looked at Cameroon in shock. Johannes had no idea what Cameroon was talking about, but the other two seemed to know something about it.
Cameroon received a glare from Jonathan; however, he laughed it off.
"It just so happens that I walked down the same alleyway and found you two," Cameroon stated, seeming not to care about the menacing atmosphere he had just created.
Johannes finally grasped the situation and sighed, masking his stress and disappointment.
"Richard, Cameroon, come to our house after school," Johannes decided suddenly. "We'll discuss this later—for now, let's go to our classes."
Johannes turned to Yuan. "What class are you in?" he asked.
Yuan took out a folded piece of paper from the pockets of her black denim jeans and started unfolding it. "It seems that I was added to class A3," she said before folding the paper again and putting it back into her pockets.
"Just as I expected from you, Yuan. You got into the star class immediately," Richard exclaimed promptly.
Johannes, on the other hand, was stunned and was left speechless at her answer. The poor man is probably screaming his lungs out in envy internally.
Richard turned to Trinity. "How about you?"
"I'm on B3," Trinity answered simply.
Richard nodded. "I see. Jonathan and I can lead you there. Johannes, Cameroon, and Yuan can go to their class already," he instructed.
When the school bell rang, Richard clapped his hands together loudly and said, "We'll see each other at break. See you three," before the group split up and went to their respective classrooms.

The four students entered room A3. Yuan already knew that the class was filled with superior students who were worthy of being in the star class.
The presence of the students looked intimidating to her; they all seemed to be highly intelligent, and most of them were known celebrities from wealthy families—Yuan knew most of the celebrities in the room.
"You can sit next to us; we don't have any seating arrangements anyway," Cameroon said as he sat in one of the seats closest to the teacher. "Front seats for the superiors," Cameroon finger-gunned while imitating a gun.
"You look stupid, Cameroon," Johannes said insultingly.
Cameroon rolled his eyes playfully while chuckling. "Whatever."
"What's the first class we have today?" Yuan asked the friend group.
"We have English today," Cameroon answered.
Royce raised a brow and asked, "Shouldn't we have maths instead today?"
"I changed our schedule to my liking, which is pretty cool, ey?" Cameroon added, "I didn't like our old schedule, so I had to do something about it."
Johannes facepalmed disappointedly. "Did you really start an inconvenience just because you didn't like the schedule?"
"Well, I'm the only son of the owner and principal anyway. They can't do much," Cameroon said with an elegant shrug.
If anyone else had said it, it would have come off as bragging, but Cameroon just sounded stupid saying it.
"Grow up." Royce and Johannes said in sync.
