Alright, so someone asked if I could make a patreon. So I did. I'm still working out the details, but it should be done by next week. So far, as of writing, anyway, there are three tiers: Worldborn, Riftborn, and Angel. They're just some fancy names for the tiers, but here's the benefits:
Worldborn: $3 Early Access to 1 free chapter of Boneclock (Also any other story I write after I finish Boneclock) Riftborn: $6
Early Access to 2 free chapters of Boneclock (Also yada yada you get the point)
Early Access to soon-to-be public short stories
Angel: $10
Early Access to 3 free chapters of Boneclock
Early Access to soon-to-be public short stories
Access to Patreon-exclusive short stories
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The short stories are still works in progress, but I already started one of them. In addition... well, hate to break it to you all, but I'll need the rest of the weekend to get my backlog (and patreon chapters) in a place I feel comfortable with. So nothing new until Tuesday. Sorry, but honestly... I was going to write out a heartfelt plea to give donations, but who wants to hear that? Here's the rub: I need money to keep such a consistent upload schedule going and the only way I can get money out of this (without selling my stories to companies like Amazon or Kindle) is to get donations from Patreon.
Reading it all out, I kind of feel scummy for doing this —part of my belief system is that stories being sold is an unfortunate consequence of our natural world (No, I'm not talking about economics, but the fact that everyone needs to eat and selling stories puts food on the table)— but it's the way the cookie crumbles.
Sorry for doing this to you all and putting your follow feeds through a patreon announcement, but any and all help is greatly appreciated. Like I said, everything will be ready on Monday (maybe) and regular uploads will continue on Tuesday (a certainty). So ignore this if you don't have anything to give, or your scraping the bottom of the barrel yourself, and ignore it if you don't want to donate. I won't hold it against you. Thanks for checking this out, and I'll be seeing you all around. (My normal outro doesn't work here... Dammit, it's my brand...)
