Detour
As much as Aurdel wanted to keep trying to intercept the Yakuza on their way to wherever, he'd likely lost his chance. The attack by those CIA agents had not only delayed timewise, but always caused quite a commotion. And given that the Yakuza likely had people on the ground scouting their routes in real time, they'd become aware of his presence and immediately changed their route to keep him off the scent. It didn't take long for this to be proven true. Because when he went underground to check the tunnels he found that they'd been completely re-arranged, with old tunnels being seamlessly sealed up and new tunnels created where was once only concrete and brick. Chisaki had been through here, and used his quirk. Aurdel silently cursed under his breath, that damned CIA. Messing with him like this required a serious reprisal. Well, if his chance at finding the Yakzua was shot then- He paused, feeling a vibration as his phone went off. Pulling it out he found that Midoriya had activated the tracker he'd given him. He actually weren't that far away... Had Midoriya run into Chisaki? It was possible, and if that true then Aurdel could very well follow this tracker to him... No, it was too risky. He couldn't go into the situation unprepared, especially not with how deadly Chisaki's quirk might make him. He'd just have to go back and speak with Mirio and Midoriya, then figure out things from there. So he began walking his way back towards Nighteye's agency. As he did a number of heads turned his way, though no one dared approach him given his relatively abrasive public personality. Some might think that having that sort of perception is a bad thing, but-
“Someone, help!” He heard a voice shout, his head turned shot up. As his head swiveled around he eventually saw where the commotion was coming from, a crowd of civilians was running in the opposite direction. Quickly he ran in the direction they were coming from, making sure to avoid bumping into anyone. Eventually he made it to the source of where everyone was fleeing from. A bank. He could hear sirens off in the distance, along with gunshots coming from the bank. A few of shots were directed towards the few people nearby in an attempt to get them to run away.
“Crap, I didn’t expect that a Hero would get here so fast!” One of the men shouted. He was wielding a Type 89 rifle and firing off a few rounds in his direction. Aurdel ducked behind a nearby concrete barrier, the rounds pounding against the sidewalk. He pulled his Beretta out of its holster and peeked around the barrier, firing three rounds toward the man. All three hit. One in the knee, the gut and the shoulder. Considering he was supposed to be a Hero, he had to issue a warning before he could even consider lethal force. This would have to survive for now. Aurdel charged out from behind the concrete, bringing his gun against the second criminals
“Damnit…!” The second man grunted, ducking back behind one of the pillar at the front of the bank as Aurdel fired a bullet into his thigh. Aurdel ran forward again, this time moving to a position opposite to the criminal. “You’re screwed Hero, you hear me?! We outnumber you twenty to one!” Bluff or not, those weren’t very good odds… For them. The man popped out again with his rifle, but he was slow on the draw. Aurdel fired twice and punched through the receiver of the gun, causing serious damage. As soon as he tried to fire the rifle a catastrophic failure occurred.
“Come on!” A man inside of the bank shouted, “Set it up, set it up!” There was a stampede of footsteps inside of the bank, along with the racking of a number of bolts. Among them was the easily recognizable sound of a fifty-cal being racked and ready to fire. He went back to the first man he’d shot, grabbing his rifle and ammo before sneaking his way to the bank entrance and hiding behind a wall. With his motion tracker he could detect that there were about twelve men in the bank main hall, the rest were presumably attempting to get into the vault. A quick glance through the window allowed him to get an idea of their positions. One the next floor he could see the machine gun. One was manning it, another was supplying ammo. The remaining ten were scattered between the first and second floors, though a few of them didn't look like they had any firearms. In that case they probably had ranged quirks that could do comparable damage. None of them fired though, they were waiting for him to walk in first. Aurdel turned up the audio output on his helmet speakers.
“Attention Villains, this is pro-Hero Spartan. I am speaking to you now because I am offering you the chance to surrender now and give yourself up. I am not like other Heroes, and I am willing to use deadly force to stop you. If you wish to protect your lives then I suggest that you give yourself up.”
“Shit, it’s that guy?!” One of the criminals said, lowering his weapon from the door. “Guys, I think we might be in over our heads with this job. You saw what he did to the other gangs, we don’t stand a chance! We gotta give up.”
“What the hell are you saying, give up now?!” Another Villain shouted back at him, “We’ve been planning this score for months, we can’t just give up now!”
“Yeah!” Another protested, “That piece of shit ‘Hero’ iced my buddy, I’m getting my revenge!”
“Well you guys do whatever you want, I’m getting out of here alive!” The man who’d become weary tossed down his guns with a clatter, two others doing the same as they ran from their positions and ran for the main door. As they ran their comrades opened up, so Aurdel quickly jumped out and pushed the three men out of the line of fire and threw them down the stairs of the bank. A hail of bullets ripped through the nearby wall, followed by a powerful waterjet that blasted it apart and then a stream of acid bubbles that popped upon contacted and melted the ground.
He shoved the three down, “Now stay here and wait for the police, or else I'm not going to be as merciful with you as I am now.” Aurdel leapt out into the line of fire with the rifle he’d picked up, lining up his shot before opening fire. He ripped five rounds through the box mag on the side of the machine gun as it trained in on him, causing an ammo detonation that blew shrapnel through the two men who were manning the weapon. Then he pivoted and kept firing, gunning down the man with the waterjet quirk and another man with a rifle. As the fire concentrated in on him he dove behind a pair of metal desks, flipping them over and using them for cover. There were only five left in the main hall. And while it would be in their best interest to surrender now, it didn't look like they would
“You! Use your quirk and flush him out!” One of the Villains shouted, and a hail of bullets began pounding against the two desks. This was then followed up by literal wall of fire, as one of the Villain charged forward and his quirk to spray flames in his direction. Aurdel stowed the rifle away and popped out with a reloaded beretta, firing two bullets. One to the hand that was throwing the flames at him, and the other to the gut. As the man dropped to the floor Aurdel charged towards the stairs, prepared to take the rest on.
“Screw this, I’m going to the boss and defending the vault!” One of the Villains said, another following him. As soon as Aurdel reached the top of the stairs he found that two of the Villains had surrendered, while the other two ran. Aurdel quickly ran past them and fired at the runners, injuring the first but gunning down the second who’d managed to slam the panic button that shut off access to the vault before going down. Damnit, just what he needed. Aurdel ran back to the two Villains who surrendered
“Don’t attack, we give up!”
“Smart,” He tossed two pair of large zipties, “Tie yourselves up for the police.”
“Y-yes sir!” The two men quickly respond, turning around and putting on each others restraints. After that Aurdel ran back in the direction of the vault, finding himself stuck behind the security door that been dropped down. It was magnetically locked to the ground and walls, and in any normal set of circumstances it would be something that was impossible to overcome. But it wasn't anything he couldn’t handle. Putting one hand on the door he cycled his energy shield, discharging the stored charge into into the door and frying the wires that supplied the power to the magnets. Now, it'd just be a heavy metal door. Carefully he dug his fingers into the edge of the door, slowly prying it upwards bit by bit. Eventually he lifted it high enough to properly hold the bottom of the door, giving him the leverage he needed to throw it open. After that he charged his way in, following the trail of blood left by the man who'd been shot. He peered around the corner with a gun in his hand, a cloud of bullets and a few spikes of ice looking to pay him for his trouble.
“There’s no way for you to get us, asshole!” One of the Villains shouted, “So give up now, and we might let you leave.”
“If you think that I’m the one in a bad position you’re sorely mistaken. You’re sitting inside of a bank vault that, while highly defensible, has no secondary exit. Your only way out is through me, and even if you somehow do manage that there will be a small army of policemen and Heroes outside waiting to take you down. Last chance to stand down and walk away without anyone else getting hurt.”
“W-We’ll manage, you don’t know what we got with us!” One of the Villains began using his quirk, smoke slowly pouring out from the vault entrance in an attempt to obscure his vision.
“Maybe not, but let me tell you something. You're inside of a steel vault, and there's a reason you don't shoot at steel targets. The bullets can ricochet.” With both guns loaded and his shields back up Aurdel charged out of cover and opened fire first with a few rounds from the rifle
“Shit!” Their boss shouted, the group of Villains returned the favor towards. But as they did he could tell that two of them went don't to ricochets, time to switch tactics. Having been running forward he quickly dove onto his stomach, having enough forward momentum to slide forward and through the vault entrance. The moment he made it in his turned on his helmets floodlights, blinding everyone in the room as he opened in full automatic fire with the beretta and the rifle. The spray across the left side of the room with the rifle cut down three of the Villains, one with lethal wounds and others with severe ones. Meanwhile on his right three more Villains went down at the hands of his pistol, each taking several shots to the gut.
Aurdel threw the now empty rifle at the last one standing, before leaping up, driving a strong punch into his stomach and following up with two bullets. The Villain boss fell back against the wall, clutching his wounds. “W-what kind of god damned Hero are you?! You're killing us!” Blood was slowly pouring out from his shirt, but he would live.
Aurdel walked around, policing the ammo and weapons that were strewn about the vault. He’d come down on them so fast that they’d hadn’t even had the chance to open any of the deposit boxes, all of the money was still where it was supposed to be. "I gave all of you the chance to give up and walk away, it's not my fault that you didn't make the right choice." He walked over and injured man by the back of the neck, looking him in the face. “Besides, dead men tell no tales. I need someone to tell the others what happened here.” The man groaned with pain as Aurdel dropped him back onto the ground. Aurdel left the vault and walked back out into the atrium, where police were waiting armed with automatic weapons aimed in his direction.
The police chief stepped forward, they lowered their weapons. “What’s the situation?” The officers had already taken away the Villains that had surrendered, collecting the weapons that the Villains had used.
He stowed his beretta, “The robbery's over. Some of the suspects are injured, others are dead.
“Dead?! Damnit, haven’t you heard of these things called rules of engagement?” The police chief shouted, “We’re supposed to take them in, not kill them on the spot!”
“Rules of engagement mean nothing when the men you’re fighting have no intention to surrender. I gave them several chances to give themselves up, and because most of them didn't I did what I had to do. It's not like I was about to let a bunch of young men charge in and get gunned down, all because they're following rules that mean nothing to people they're going agaisnt,” he said, rebuffing the police chief. “I think you can handle the situation from here,. Value the lives of your men a little more highly.”
----------------------------------------
Aurdel walked the streets back to the front door of Nighteye’s agency. Looking in, he could see Mirio and Midoriya speaking to Nighteye in the lobby. He supposed that they were giving him the details about what had happened earlier, and whatever had caused Midoriya to set off the tracker. Only one way to find out. Aurdel pushed open the door and walked in, “You two are back early, how did things go?” The two looked towards him.
“Not… Not as well as we wanted it to,” Midoriya said.
“Sir decided that we should come back to help with some paperwork, we ran into something we didn’t want to.”
He narrowed his eyes, “Bush beating is for politicians, what happened?”
“We ran into the Shie Hassaikai leader, Chisaki.”
“So he the one that you put the tracker on?”
“No, he didn't get close enough for me to do that. But there was a young girl with him by the name of Eri. She was the one that I put the tracker on," Aurdel went silent. “He said that she was his daughter, but she looked horribly afraid of him. With all the bandages that she had on her arms and legs, I don't think that there's any doubt that he's abusing her.” His rage simmered.
“That son of a bitch...” Aurdel clenched a fist.
“Huh?! What’s with the sudden aggression?! I understand that he is abusing his daughter but I didn’t think that you-“
He looked at Nighteye, “How much did you tell them about the current situation?"
“Nothing that they didn’t need to know, I didn’t want them acting irrationally and getting into a situation they couldn’t win.”
“What’s going on…?” Midoriya asked, lost in the conversation.
He looked at Midoriya, “Nighteye asked me to work with him because the Shie Hassakai, one of the many Yakuza clans of old, were starting to become a threat again. Mostly through the drug trade. On the day that you were taking your licensing exam I got a hold of a sample of a new they were circulating. A bullet that destroys quirks.” That revelation alone startled the two students, but he continued. “As far as we can tell it uses the powers of a quirk to destroy quirks, and because of that the drug is filled with blood and tissue samples to make it work They're the blood and tissue of a young girl.” Upon making the connection, they faces had looks of horror on them. Mirio, presumably being the one to advise letting her go for now, looked the most guilty, Midoriya meanwhile was trembling so much that he needed to sit down.
”How…? Why…?” Midoriya fumbled over his words, “What are we supposed to do?” His voice was barely above a whimper.
Nighteye spoke, “Charging in blindly isn’t the answer to this problem, I told them that confronting Chisaki then and there wouldn't have done them any good because it would have gotten them killed.
“I won’t disparage you for that, but letting a girl go back to be abused isn't something that I can turn a blind eye to.” He looked back at his set of maps, comparing the location of the tracker. “It looks like they haven't found the tracker you've put on her yet. Judging by the way they're moving, they've given up on trying to hide in plain sight. They're beelining it towards the Shie Hassaikai headquarters in the suburbs."

“We should call in others Heroes," Midoriya said, "...To help us take her back.”
“I already have,” Nighteye said, “Though, it was actually for a different purpose. I originally called in Heroes from all over the country because we were still trying to narrow down the location of where Chisaki was holding Eri, but now that that doesn't seem to be a problem we'll be able to use them to simultaneously strike against all their bases at once.”
“We'll need specific help for their heavy hitters, especially Chisaki himself. If his quirk is as powerful as it sounds like it is, then getting touched once by him is a death sentence.”
“That is why I also called in Eraserhead, from your school. I'm sure you can understand for what purpose."
“Chisaki will find that tracker on her eventually, but I don't think he's going to run. If it's willing to act as brazenly as he is now then it means he's willing to stand and fight, and that means he'll pull out all the stops to try and beat us back."
“I’m afraid that I’m inclined to agree with your opinion. However, we will not fail.” Nighteye fixed his glasses, “Preparation can overcome all adversity, no matter how great. And we will take the time to do so.”

The day after they discovered Chisaki and where Eri was being held, a meeting was called between Nighteye's agency, himself and a number of Heroes. Two days after that the Heroes gathered again, this time for the attack on the Shie Hassaikai main compound, Aurdel had mixed feelings about it all. Strategically he knew that biding their time and planning out the attack on the Yakuza was advantageous. He himself was a strategist and knew the value of patience. On the other hand, it felt ethically dubious to allow Eri to remain with the Yakuza and continue being tortured solely because of fact that they were going to rescue her. Personal sacrifice was something he held in high regard, but it wasn’t something that he felt a child should be forced to endure. He had his own personal reasons for that. However there were also some additional gripes he had with the plan, specifically related to who exactly was taking part in the raid “I still don’t think it’s a good idea for all of you to be here,” Aurdel said with his arms folded, “Midoriya and Mirio I can understand, since they were involved and felt personally responsible there was no to stop them from coming with us. But the rest of you joining us is some additional risk I can hardly accept.”
“We can handle ourselves,” Kirishima said, jerking a thumb towards himself, “Besides, if this guy really is as sick as you say he is then I want to make sure he gets put behind bars.”
“That’s right!” Uraraka said, “And if we’re going to become better Heroes then we can’t turn back on something just because it might be a little dangerous. The more we fight the more we improve!”
“Somehow I don’t believe that all it is, especially with you.”
“H-huh?! W-what do you mean?!” Uraraka said, her face turning a flush red. “I-I mean! I also don’t want to see any of my classmates get hurt, that’s why I’m coming!” Of course, there was one person in specific she wanted to protect. But he wouldn’t embarrass her.
“Either way, I know that if I tried to stop any of you from getting involved now that it wouldn’t work. So even if my instincts say otherwise, I won’t. Just stay within arms reach.”
“Huh, that's just about what I was going to tell them,” Eraserhead said, his voice tired. He pulled out a small bottle of eye drops and squeezed out a few onto his eye.
“Hey, don’t sweat it tough guy. Between you and me there won’t be any reason to worry,” one of the Heroes said, Hawks. Because of the drastic circumstances Nighteye has felt the need to call upon the number one Hero in the country. Or at least, the Hero who had unofficially taken number one on the billboards. In his personal opinion, he was not number one material. Given the hesitation that Nighteye had displayed upon meeting him, it seemed like Aurdel wasn't the only one that had a problem with the way he acted. Hawks pretend not to notice though. “So chin up, and let ‘em loose.”
“Your words fill me with confidence,”Aurdel’s response was heavy with sarcasm, the response getting a sly grin from Hawks. Tokoyami simply closed his eyes and shook his head at seeing the two of them interact like this.
“Attention everyone,” the police chief began, the voices of all the Heroes in front of the station idly chatting quieted down. “As of this morning, we acquired warrant for the arrest of Kai Chisaki and the authority to search the property of the Shie Hassakai. This is likely the only time we will ever have the chance to do so. If we mess this up then there will be no future chances to stop the Yakuza or their new drug from being produced and expanded. Heroes with the Hawks, Nighteye and Fatgum agency will be at the front, Ryukyu’s agency will be covering the rear with the other Heroes. Between all of you will be us, so well be in your care.” The man looked at a watch on his wrist, “We have thirty minutes remaining before the operation will begin, make any final preparations in that time.”
Aurdel looked over his gear, double checking everything that he had. He had his magnum, a beretta, several magazines for both weapons, two combat knives, several tear gas grenades courtesy of the police, handcuffs, his medical trauma kit, a frag grenade, rope, breaching charges and several flashbangs.
“I thought the police told you to go in non-lethally?” Eraserhead asked, raising an eyebrow at his choice of kit.
“I am going in non-lethally,” he responded, pulling out a magazine for the beretta and showcasing one of the bullets. “Stun rounds, handmade. If the first doesn’t put you down, the second and third will. They’re designed to cause as much pain as possible, overwhelming the nervous system and knocking the target out.”
“Sounds like it’d be illegal to use…”
“Probably, but I’m a firm believer that you can only enforce the big laws by breaking the little ones,” Eraserhead held out a paper, Aurdel took it and looked it over. A list of all the known members of the Shie Hassakai and their registered quirks. Useful. With one last check of his he was ready. “Let’s do this.”
----------------------------------------
“Police! We have a warrant out to search your property for drug production and distribution!” The police chief shouted, standing in front of the buzzer that sat next to the gate to the compound.
His motion tracker lit up, “Get back!” Aurdel shouted, dragging two officers out of the way. Midoriya and Eraserhead also pulled a number of the officers out of the way, bringing them to safety as a large Villain busted through to attack.
“Police… This early in the morning…?" The large Yakuza member yawned. “What do you want?”
“Don’t let him act first, take him down!” He shouted. Ryukyu rapidly transformed into her dragon form, tackling the Villain to the ground and holding him down
“We’ll hold him here!” Ryukyu said, “Get inside and find that girl!” Without a second thought they charged into the complex, himself being the first in followed by Mirio and Midoriya.- Inside the courtyard were a large number of Yakuza thugs, most running out from inside the main building to confront them.
“Heroes?! Shit!” One of them shouted, raising his hand. The leaves of a nearby bush began shooting through the air like knives in their direction.
“Shoot Style: Smash!” Midoriya brought his leg up and kicked, causing a strong enough pressure air blast that sent all of the leaf blades back towards the thug. Mirio meanwhile went forward, phasing through one of the thugs before attacking him from behind. When a nearby thug tried to fight Aurdel hand to hand he grabbed him by the arm, twisting it behind his back before pivoting behind him to use him as a human shield. After that he opened fire on the Yakuza thugs. And the stun rounds were certainly effective. Every single bullet knocked out a different thug. After emptying the magazine he shoved his shield forward, giving him a pistol whip for his efforts. The courtyard was temporarily cleared, leaving them free to push into the house. Over a dozen more of the thugs ran at them while inside, but the sheer number of Heroes they had meant that they didn't have long to fight.
“Your tracker said they took her into a basement,” Midoriya said, “But how are we supposed to get there? I don't see any paths to a lower level."
“They wouldn't be doing their job if they made things obvious to figure out.” Aurdel stopped at an inlet on the right side wall, where a shrine was dedicated to the Yakuza and its many members past and present. Normally disturbing something like this would be sacrilegious
Aurdel slammed his fist through the wall. First it met paper and wood, but then soon met metal. With that he knew for sure that this was where it was being hidden. He discharged his shield to overload the lock, throwing open the hidden door. Behind it had been three Yakuza waiting to ambush them, though that was halted as he leapt forward and tackled all three down the long set of stairs "Follow me!" He and the three thugs landed at the bottom of the stairs, the three men groaning in agony from the fall before being summarily restrained. They were in the underground now.
“Didn't the maps say there was supposed to be a tunnel here? Nighteye, what kind of research did you do?!” Rock Lock asked aloud.
Aurdel got up and started running, “It’s a fake wall, don’t stop! Midoriya, Kirishima!”
“Got it! Smash!”
“Red Gauntlet!” The two charged forward and smashed through the concrete wall, finding that the tunnel still existed on the other side. If something like this had just been made to cut them off then it means that Chisak had been herei. And where they found Chisaki, they would find Eri.
They charged through. “We can't let them make the next move!” There were no Yakuza thugs were in sight, and one might think that the Yakuza had underestimated them. But the situation quickly changed.
“Woah!” The walls, floor and ceiling of the basement suddenly began to shift, moving with a dizzying motion as the the concrete threatened to crush them. But none of the sides of the tunnel had broken up before moving, meaning that this wasn't Chisaki.
“It’s Irinaka, he’s using trigger to amplify his quirk!” Aurdel quickly looked around, making a decision. “Mirio, you and me are going to make sure that Chisaki doesn’t get away.”
“Roger!” The blonde boy said, managing to steady himself among the shaky ground.
“Midoriya, Tokoyami, Kirishima, stay with them and keep the walls off their backs!”
“They won’t get close!” Tokoyami said, unleashing Dark Shadow to hold the walls in place.
“Hawks, you better keep your word!” He shouted, before running forward with Mirio towards the end of the hallway where the distortions were becoming less and less distorted.
“I already told you, don’t worry!” Aurdel and Mirio sprinted forward, with himself diving through holes of decreasing size as Mimic used the walls to try and crush him in order to keep him away from Chisaki. But he was determined. These guys weren't going to escape. He physically busted his way through the last concrete wall that was in his way, breaking through his shields and leave a scratch on his armors paint. After that the stop moving. They must be getting close to Chisaki, and Mimic didn’t want to risk crushing his boss. They turned the corner.
“Don't let him get in an attack!” They both knew full well what they had to do.
“So you’re the new Hero…” Chisaki said, stopping and turning to have a glance at him. The man in the white robe next him also stopped. “You’re strong, especially if you could get past Mimic. But I won’t have you stop my plans while they’re so close to fruition.” Aurdel stumbled as he suddenly became very dizzy, coming under the effects of a quirk.
“Don’t worry Overhaul,” a man hanging from the ceiling said, clutching a bottle of beer. “We’ll stop ‘em here.”
“That’s right,” a fourth man dressed in a black robe said, raising a handgun. “The boss’ plans will see the light of day, I myself have seen them.” He fired several times at Aurdel, the bullets being more than easy enough to dodge even with the dizziness we felt.
“How are you moving like that? You should be just as drunk as I am!” The man hanging from the ceiling exclaimed. Aurdel had experienced far worse in training and zero-g combat, something like this wasn’t enough to stop him.
“Perhaps he has a unique quirk, one we don’t know about.” The man in the black robes said, “Why don’t you tell us what your quirk is?” Aurdel remembered this guy from the list, he was the one that could make anyone speak using his quirk. Even if the question asked for something the person didn’t know for sure or buried deep inside them, it would still be answered with the truth. All in all it was a strong ability, but one that only gave benefit if it’s user could hear the answer. Aurdel activated the soundproofing of his helmet, shut off his microphone and shut off the armor’s speakers. Nemoto wouldn’t be able to hear anything from him.
“I have two quirks. The first is All For One, given to me by its namesake, and it grants me the ability to take quirks upon making physical contact and choosing to take them. The second is Flashbang, and it allows me to produce blinding explosions of light from my hands. It was taken from the operative that tried to kidnap me.” Aurdel was stunned for a moment, and it caused him to stop in his tracks. That meant his suspicions were confirmed, All For One had done something to him. He'd given him his power, something that he'd used to take that quirk from the CIA agent.
“How is it that you are able to avoid answering my question?" The man in black robes was confused, “No, wait! That other Hero-!” Nemoto was interrupted as Mirio attacked from the wall, knocking Sakaki off of the ceiling and attacking the two Yakuza members at the same time.
“Ultimate Move: Phantom Menace!” Mirio punched rapidly with lightning quick movements, giving no time for the two Yakuza members to fight back against him. Aurdel then dealt them finishing blows, slamming the two into the ground.
“How annoying,” Chisaki said, “You’re diseased, but you don’t even know it or refuse to acknowledge it.” Mirio disappeared into the floor, Aurdel charged forward. “Fortunately I have the cure. I will rid this world of quirks and the Hero complex that they brought upon us, then things will go back to the natural order as they were meant to be!” Chisaki tore off his left glove and placed his hand on the floor, shattering the concrete beneath their feet into an array of smaller chunks that began to reform. Large concrete spikes soon came his way. As Aurdel opened fire some of them woudl return to form a sort of barrier, but the other ones didn’t abandon their target. Aurdel smashed his leg through one of the concrete straight through one of them, then began weaving through them. Occasionally he used them as footholds to move forward towards Chisaki. Mirio then reappeared from the ground behind Chisaki, catching him off guard. He phased through his outstretched hands, punching the Yakuza boss in the face and throwing him back. Then he pivoted and attacked Chrono, initially making it look like that his kick would strike Eri but instead phasing through and striking his opponent in the head with his boot. Eri fell from his hands and fell into Mirio's.
Chisaki stood back up, swiping in Mirio’s direction but missing as he moved away.. His eyes were filled with rage and spots appeared in his face. “Give her back! Someone like you wouldn’t know what to do with a valuable asset like her!”
“How can you say such a vile thing about your daughter?!” Mirio shouted back.
“Right, I told you that when you found me,” Chisaki slid the second glove off of his hands. “But I have no daughter.” He slammed his palm onto the ground, shattering several feet of foundation and stone. The walls and floor shifted around all of them, changing the small and confining hallways into a large open arena. Pipes and wiring that were connected to the various houses in the neighborhood fell as they became unsupported, the move having even broken into an active sewer system. “There is nowhere for you Heroes to run. The entrances and exits are gone, and if you try to phase through the wall you’ll leave the girl here. You have no choice but to-“
“Not a chance,” Aurdel shot back, then literally. He fired another full magazine of stun rounds at Chisaki since he was the greatest threat in the room, but he raised several new spikes to block the bullets coming his way
“Then you will die defending the tiny sense of justice you hold so dear!” Chisaki shouted, spikes chasing towards them from nearly every direction. Mirio moved around, using his quirk to avoid the spikes while still holding Eri out of reach from the threats. Aurdel crashed through the spikes when he could afford to, avoiding them most of the time. Waves of rubble began to pile up, Chisaki raising and lowered parts of the floor. “Chrono!”
“Watch out!” Aurdel shoved Mirio out of the way, the quirk erasing bullet bouncing off of his armor.
“Neither of you should be able to move so quickly,” Chrono said, “Sloshed should still be having some manner of effect on you!”
“I’ve dealt with far worse!” Mirio said. He looked at Aurdel, giving him a nod. He knew what he was going to do. Mirio couldn’t take Eri through the walls, but he could close the distance and hit Chisaki without being struck himself. He threw his cape up into the air, concealing himself and Eri. Aurdel then rushed over and caught Eri inside of the cape as Mirio phased through the ground unseen by the Yakuza.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got you,” he soothingly said to the young girl clinging to the cape and his armor. It reminded him of a few years back, where he’d done and said something quite similar…
Mirio sprung up from the ground a distance away, “If you had the chance to use your quirk it would be quite a problem, so I’m going to take you out of this fight! Power!” Mirio slammed into Chrono, dealing another blow to his head sufficient to knock him out. The man’s mask went flying from his face as he toppled over. “Chisaki!”
“Don’t call me by that name, I’ve thrown it away! I am Overhaul!” The Yakuza boss shouted at the top of his lungs. Jagged spikes came from every direction and threatened to impale them at every possible angle. “The state that I take Eri back in doesn’t matter, I’m the only one that can have her and heal her! You don’t have that luxury!” The fight raged on as the world seemed to collapse around them.
