Chapter 4

Brothers

Never before has any text documented this kind of behavior in a boar. The way it killed the guards was something that scared Bakko. This beast was truly intelligent, and Bakko knew he had encountered something entirely different from a regular titanic Boar.Usually, animals could evolve on different forms, but they never entirely stray from their ancestral origins. This animal was different, although it had the appearance of a boar, it clearly was cunning and vicious. Bakko decided to wait patiently for the boar to leave, so he could retrieve the bodies of his guard.

After about 15 minutes, the boar made its way to the forest. It slowly walked almost as if it was waiting for something. After Bakko confirmed the boar had gone, he walked to the corpse of his dead compatriots. He knelt on his right knee, and began offering a prayer on their behalf.

“Look behind you” A voiced echoed to the nearby Bakko who was praying.

Bakko turned around, and to his surprise the boar that had killed his guards was casually walking towards his direction. From that moment, Bakko understood what had happened. The beast purposefully baited him out. It pretended to leave, and patiently waited for someone to come retrieve the body.

While he thought about this, he started searching for who had warned him. Moments later, he located a person that was casually laying on a branch of a tree. Bakko was completely stunned, he and his guards had been there for quite a while, but they did not notice this person. Bakko immediately started running towards the tree were this person was, and started climbing the tree.

“Amazing judgment” the person sighed in praise.

“What the hell are you doing?” the person rebuked. Although he sounded somewhat angry, a trace of a faint smile could be seen on his face.

“The view from here is great. I hope you don't mind my intrusion” Bakko responded quite cunningly.

“Of course I mind....” The person was say, before he was interrupted by the loud sound of the boar knocking down the tree. They both jumped from the tree and gracefully landed on the ground. From the moment Bakko spotted this man, he had decided to get this person involved. He could tell from the person's composure, that he was his best chance for survival.

"You stupid pig dare disturb my rest" the person cursed at the boar.

After he said that, he began slowly walking towards the boar. In an instant, hundreds of chains could be seen appearing from his abdomen and hands. The chains were slowly dangling in the air. This scene left Bakko completely stunned. From the moment he was born to this point in time, he had never seen nor heard of anything like this.

He quickly caught himself, and began to focus. His left fist slowly started to emit flames, his  right fist started sparkle and finally lightning started dancing on his right fist. Usually, people of the Songhai tribe are born with the innate ability to control flames, but Bakko was different. He could control both flames and lightning to a high degree. This made Bakko a prominent member of the tribe, and further sealed his position as the future ruler of his tribe.

Stolen story; please report.

Bakko wouldn't have to do much, because this stranger was like a crazed dog. He attacked the boar incessantly, not giving the beast a moment to retaliate. His chains were not strong enough to penetrate its skin, but they were more than enough to bound the beast in place. Having bounded the beast wit his chains, be lifted the beast and slammed it to the ground numerous times. He continued pounding the beast until it was devoid of all life. The beast had an almost perfect defense, but against that kind of barrage, there was nothing it could do but die.

Bakko stared with a slacked jaw. The share brutality at which this person used in killing this beast was something to be reckoned with. At that moment Bakko knew he had to be on this person's good side.

“That's what you get for disturbing my peace” The person said as he slowly unbounded the beast.

“Thanks for saving me brother. My name is Bakko Suni” Bakko said in an effort to introduce himself.

The person turned and stared at him, he had mixed feelings towards Bakko. On the one hand he was angry that Bakko brought him into his fight, on the other hand he was impressed at the level of prudence Bakko had displayed. He did not attack the beast mindlessly like the other two did, although he seemed stronger than them both, he decisively found a way to get him involved without asking.

“What are you doing in these parts of the forest?” The stranger finally responded.

“I came hunting titanic boars with my guards, but unfortunately I encountered this beast.” Bakko responded.

The stranger stared with a somewhat confused expression.

“Then why did you attack this apex beast if you were not capable of killing it?”

Bakko hearing this was stunned. Apex beast are usually alpha versions of a beast. Usually they are hardly ever spotted because of their preference to remain in deeper and more dense parts of a forest. Apex beast usually controls hordes of their fellow species and rarely ever make way to shallow parts.

Seeing how Bakko was surprised, the stranger was getting a little irritated.

“Leave immediately before you bring me any misfortune” The stranger said.

"You still haven't told me your name brother" Bakko responded ignoring his earlier statement.

"Its Shuyin. Now leave" He responded.

From that moment on, this two will spend a lot of time together adventuring and later conquering the various warring tribes, then forming the the kingdom of Songhai using Bakko’s tribe as the epicenter of the kingdom.
